Coloring Flowers with Dye Ink

Hi there!!

Today i'm sharing a little card that features coloring with dye ink technique. Its a pretty easy technique, i just press the ink onto a clear block, add water and color! A couple of weeks ago i cleaned up my craft table and found these flowers that i had stamped and colored, and i told my self i'm making a card with these! They are not allowed to hand around anymore!! I don;t really remember what i planned to do with them, but they were already colored and i just had to make something with them!

Designed by Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

First i cut all the flowers out! (knocked out some recorded TV shows while i was at it!!) Next i wanted to use some new goodies that i had gotten recently, one being an embossing folder from Life Style Crafts. I used it to dry emboss some kraft, then i used a watermark pen and colored in every other arrow row.

I adhered the kraft panel to my cardbase and then started arranging my colored images. For a sentiment i pulled out a Simon Says Stamp set and die and added Wishing You Happy Birthday! on kraft.

I adhered most of the flowers directly on the kraft panel, for a couple others i used foam dots. I adhered the kraft panel on some PTI orange cardstock. I really like coloring with dye inks, you can get some great rich color, which i think makes these flowers look great!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Dana

  3. omg, what a fab idea for the background! So subtle but it packs a HUGE design punch. And those flowers are stunning! Don't you love those sorts of forgotten bits that make a quicker card down the line? :)
