Sweet Stamp Shop - October Release

Hello!

Its time for Sweet Stamp Shop - October Release and it is a good one!!! And not only are there new stamps there is Sweet Stamp Shop FLAIR!!!  Make sure you visit the Sweet Stamp Shop Blog and soak up all the inspiration the Design Team has to offer! I made just a few projects for the new release (ok well really its a lot), so i'll keep the 'how to' to a minimum! Enjoy!

3 new sets this month are:

Sweet Stamp Shop - Whats For Dinner

Sweet Stamp Shop - Happy Hour

Sweet Stamp Shop - Speedy Greetings

Ok first up i used Speedy Greetings for 2 Christmas cards and 1 Baby card! (yep a baby card!! LOL) The ideas just kept coming! This first Christmas card i used my Silhouette to cut the heart panel, then started stamping and coloring away! I popped the main panel (but not the heart), added some twine and washi tape!

Next up is the Magic of Christmas card. I stamped, colored then cut out several of trees from the Speedy Greeting set. I inked up the pattern paper edges, then added some glitter brads to a sticker and pop it up on foam tape. I added some trees flush with the cardbase and other on foam tape. It makes me want to go cut down a Christmas tree!!!

Now for my baby card, i had this idea since Nicole showed the design team the set. I used a Silhouette file and modified it, cut the wedges out of pale pink and blue cardstock. Stamped the little Special Delivery car and then assembled my spinner. For the sentiment i just typed it up in Word and printed it out and then adhered the spinner to my cardbase with foam tape. I thought this would make a great 'hey, were pregnant card!'

Next is the What's for Dinner stamp set! This set is so versatile!! First i made a little menu for a traditional Christmas dinner at my house! I cut the menu shape from a Silhouette cut file and added the little tabs that keep the menu on the holder. I did a little stamping and then added the menu details on the lines.

BUT it dosen;t stop there, so as i making this i thought i don;t want my guests to just throw the menu away, i mean i slaved over the Silhouette, and the stamps and ink..... LOL (i know sooo hard huh?!?) So i decided that the menu can be made into an ornament.

As you can see in this picture (below)  i pulled the twine bow out about half way. (the extra is hidden under the menu and the menu is meant to sit on each plate) You can pull the twine all the way so it can hang on a tree or peg.

I flipped over the menu and added photo adhesives, so all i have to do is tell my guests to take this home, print out and trim a photo, then peal off the adhesive backing and adhere the photo. Then hang it on the tree and have a memory of this years Christmas!

Next i used the What's for Dinner set to make some food sticks. There are easy to make, die cut 2 sizes of scallop circles, stamp, then adhere the two together with thick foam tape. Then i inserted the lollipop sticks between the foam tape. I decided not to adhere the circles to the sticks, this way i can just throw way the used stick and use the circles again!

I think these are perfect for buffets or pot luck dinners. Its a great way to let your guests or for you to let other pot luck eaters know what kind of food is in the dish. I don't know how many times i've been at pot lucks and get back to my seat and find i can't eat half of it because its a vegan dish or a fish dish, cuz you know you can't always tell! (and now you know i'm a picky eater! LOL) :)

Last but not least is the Happy Hour stamp set!! This set has some amazing sentiments and images! First up is a Happy New Year's card. I stamped and embossed the fireworks in clear, then colored in and around each one with some dye ink pads and a paint brush. Then i added these awesome vintage buttons to the fireworks centers. I also stamped and embossed one of the twinkles and you can just make them out in the photo below.

Next card features probably my favorite sentiment! It is so true! LOL First i stamped the dashed circles and the smallest circle in gray and pink all over my cardbase to make my background. Then i die cut the rectangle (its actually a button card die). Then with a hole punch, punched away across the top and made my own Punch Card!! Then i stamped the sentiment, added some enamel dots and adhered it all to my card base!

The Happy Hour set is not just for ... well happy hour!! Its makes great Christmas cards to!! And i had some help with some new Sweet Stamp Shop FLAIR!!! Yay! Its so awesome!!  For this card i stamped up my background using the various circles, dots and sparkles in the Happy Hour set. Next i added the twine and it looked like a gift package so i die cut a tag, stamped it and added Got Santa? flair!

On the inside i cut a pocket for a gift card, stamped the presents and a sentiment from Speedy Greeting. I also die cut a tiny heart tag and added for you with a black pen, tying it to the twine on the inside of my card!!

And for my last card today, i'm featuring some more of that amazing Sweet Stamp Shop flair! This particular one has a green Hello bubble and i thought it went great with the Cityscape set. I inked the buildings up with black pigment ink. For the solid buildings i inked them up, THEN wiped them over the ink pad, then stamped them.... gives them a cool almost sketched look to them!!
