Live Your Life In Color

Hello!!

I'm popping in quickly to share a card with you!! (i'm still working away at Pre-Calculus, but i think about it enough so i'm not going to talk about it!! lol!) I was looking at The Alley Way Stamps new Buggin In Out stamp set  (its this months free set with a $40 purchase) and really wanted to use the jar, but what to do with it?!?! And then it hit me... the paint brush from the True Colors set!!

I pulled out some watercolor paper and stamped the paint brush. Then i masked off just the tip of brush handle so when i stamped the jar it would look like the paint brush is inside the jar. Next i stamped the sentiment also from the True Colors set!

Then i did some watercoloring! I used some watercolor crayons, coloring them on a clear block then picking up color with a little bit of water and a paint brush. I colored the paint brush, plus added some water to the jar. I mixed the orange color with the blue, to get (or at lease i hope) a used water look! Like i just cleaned the brush and some of the paint is mixing with the water.

When that was done, i painted a ground for my jar and added some orange color to the stamped color!! Then i trimmed the panel about 1/4 inches shorter then my orange card base and rounded the top corners. I decided not to add or do anything else! I thought it had more punch to it by leaving it a one layer card!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I'll be back later in the week with more The Alley Way Inspiration and if i get stuff (pre-calculus) done, i'll try to get some other cards up that have been hanging around my desk for way to long!!
