Merry & Bright

Hello,

Today i'm sharing a fun and easy card or well several cards!! I am CASEing Jessi card, click here to check it out (its amazing!!).
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Penny Black
I started by cutting some strips from Christmas pattern paper in different widths. Then i cut them at different length, notching the ends. Next i made several card bases from white card stock, mostly vertical with one horizontal.

Then i used a Penny Black stamp that i new was perfect! I thought of it as soon as i saw Jessi's card! I inked a couple different stamps with a light brown ink, then cut them out.

Next it was only a matter of arranging the banners and sentiment to my liking. I used double sided tape to adhere each layer including the sentiment. Jessi stitched her banners and sentiment, but i decided to go an easier way by adding a little bit of glue just above the banner, then running brown bakers twine along it wrapping it around the card and tying in a bow.

I decided to use up all the strips i cut and i ended up with 6 cards. And of course a few days later i found the same paper already in strips left over from some long ago project!! :D

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

  2. AHHHHH I can't fuss enough! I'm so excited that you were inspired by ME :) (And I laughed at finding the strips later...isn't that always how it goes??)

  3. Brilliant! A gorgeous set of cards, and the papers you've selected (twice...tee hee!), are incredibly pretty! I've tried this technique before, with 'recycling' results. May have to give it another go...a card inspired by Dana, inspired by Jessi... Super amazing!
