You're Tea-riffic

Hello!!

I hope everyone is having a great week so far!! I'm sharing a card i made with one of the new The Alley Way Stamps November stamp sets! The Tea Par-tea has the cutest tea cups and tea pot!! I am entering this into Simon Says Stamp Wednesday's Challenge - Anything Goes
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
The first inclination when i see tea cups (at least for me) is pink, green and white, so i decided to try something different. It started with some dark brown card stock and white embossing powder, i wasn;t sure how it would turned out but sometimes you just have to try (there is always a trash nearby if it dosen;t work!!) :D

I started by stamping and embossing the tea cups and tea spoon on dark card stock. I wanted some color in the cups, so i stamped them again on pink and green card stock. I cut out the pink flowers (inside the lines, so each piece would fit inside the embossed flower/leaf).

I found some pattern paper with doilies with a brown background (its like Karma!!!) I also dug out some doilies that were still new in the package, i folded it in half. I added the pattern paper to the top half of and the brown card stock to the bottom half. I placed the doily were the pattern paper meets the card stock.

I stamped the sentiment and embossed it in white along the bottom of the card. I added the tea cups and spoon on the doily.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Dana

  4. Tea-riffic indeed, Dana. You're always sooo attentive to details; using 'tea' colours to go with your theme. The whisper of pink...oh yeah! Totally fabulous!
