Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

I'm featuring the new mini set Small Talk! I also used a yummy color combo of Mint, Grey and Gold!! First i used a big tag die to make a card. Then i used the paint swipes from TAWS True Colors and stamped the big one with Hero Art's mint ink.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

Next i added a mint pattern washi tape and layered it over the paint swipes. I used some gold ink spray, but instead of spraying, i opened the bottle and flicked the spray straw. I then set the card base aside to dry.

I inked up the For My Crafty Friend word bubble with grey pigment ink and stamped it on some white scrap paper. When it was dry i cut it out and adhered it to my card base. Last i added a few grey enamel dots!

Thank You

Hey there!!

I'm stopping by with a card i made for WPlus 9 Designs Birthday Celebration Week - Stretch It Challenge. And by stretch it they mean doing something new or takes you out of your comfort zone. I tried a new stencil technique i learn at the Online Card Class:Stencils.

ETA (edited to add) - I'm entering this into Moxie Fab's Styling With Stencils Challenge!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps
I used watercolor with a stencil and it didn't turn out as bad as i thought!! I will definitely be doing this again. I washi taped a stencil to some watercolor paper and pulled out my watercolors. I started with a light purple, then went to a dark purple, then to a dark blue and finally to a lighter blue. It was messy and i love how the look isn;t crisp and has darker areas!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

While that was drying i stamped four feathers in purple and blue pigment ink, then cut them out. When the watercolor panel was dry, i wrapped black ribbon around it and tied it in a knot.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

Last i added the feathers and stamped the sentiment, Thank You at the bottom.

Thank you for stopping by!!

Love Will Never Fail You

Hello!!!

How is everyone? Well .... its cold again and later this week... yep you guess it! More SNOW!!! I think we will have snow still hanging around until June!!! But anyway i'm sharing a nice spring card to brighten your day!!

I followed the color part of Unity's Be Inspired Challenge:

I started by using my Inktense colored pencils and coloring thick lines down a panel of watercolor paper. Then i used water to spread the color up just shy of the line above it, these made a white stripe in between each color.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps
Once that was dry i stamped the flower image in brown ink. I debated on weather to color in or do something with the flowers, but i moved on with the sentiment and at the end decided it really didn;t need anything else (and i didn't want to mess it up and have to start again! lol)

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

I used a die cut circle, also from watercolor paper, to stamped the sentiment. Then i used the dark blue colored pencil and colored small lines along the right sides of the word Love. Then with a just wet (but not too wet) brush i pulled out the blue to create shadows. I also used some brown dye ink and little mixed with the blue colored pencil. I then went in and smooth the stamped ink a bit too.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

After the circle was dry, i added it to my card base with foam dots. I trimmed the corner of the card to match the curve of the circle. Last i added a few sequins that matched each colored stripe.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

Then i stamped some of the sentiments from the set and added the images to each mini card with foam tape.

Always Here

Hey!!

Today i am sharing a card i made for Runway Inspired Challenge. The inspiration is this photo:

I started with a triangle pattern form The Alley Way Stamp set Bitty Borders. I stamped a long strip of it on watercolor paper. Then i used distress markers to color in stripes. I used the red, yellow, blue and black that is in the inspiration photo. I also colored the triangles twice to darken the colors.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps
Since my strip was so long first adhered in across my card base then trimmed. I stamped the sentiment above this first strip. Then i adhered the remaining strip next to the sentiment, trimmed it and then added the remaining piece above it.

I love the pink and grey color combo! I found some cool grey vintage buttons that i just had to use on my card! I started with a pink card base and following the sketch added a grey panel in the upper left.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps
Then i stamped the cute little kelp's on pink and grey card stock and cut them out. With foam tape i added 3 pink ones to the grey panel.

Love You Still

Hey there!!

Well yesterday it got to 40 degrees!! Yep i said 40!!! By afternoon i didn;t even need a jacket!! Of course now we are swimming with all the melting snow, and there is still a ton of snow left to melt!! And today its going to rain!! But don't worry winter is not over!! Next week its cold again! Yay!! (can you detect the sarcasm??!?!  :D )

Anyway today have a card i made for Wplus 9 Designs Birthday Celebration. The challenge is Trends, and i picked sequins! I have some really really old ones that are mainly primary colors, but late last year i got a pack of hologram ones from Neat & Tangled and they included a sample pack (isn;t that nice?!?!). This sample pack (as i call it) has lots of different colors and sizes of sequins, and wouldn;t you know i use those sequins the most. In fact i have yet use the pack that i bought!! :) Funny how things happen like that!!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps
I started my card by using the watercolor technique i saw on Wplus 9's blog last week. I colored the wreath with my distress markers, using 2 greens and 2 pinks. Then i sprayed the stamp with pearlized water and stamped it on watercolor paper.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

I did the same thing with the sentiment inside the wreath and the banner. For the sentiment in the banner, i didn;t use water because the font is really small and fine and you have to be able to read it you know! :D

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

I really really like the look of this!! I have a feeling i will be doing this a lot!!! So anyway i trimmed the watercolor panel and mounted it on my card base with foam tape. Last i added a few sequins!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Coffee

Hey there!!

Click here if you are looking for my 2013 WCMD How To Video.

Today i have a card i made for Addicted to CAS Challenge and for Moxie Fab Challenge: Happy for Hexagons! I have these enamel hexagon's i haven;t used yet, so i figured this would be a perfect time to get them out!!

And since the word at Addicted to CAS was coffee, i pulled out The Alley Way's Breakfast Club set. I stamped the cup on a Kraft tag, one white cardstock and some white/grey chevron pattern paper from my stash. I cut out the chevron piece and the white oval and adhered them to my tag, the oval with a foam dot. I also added a little bit of white and silver hemp at the top of the tag.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

Next i used the cup stain stamp and stamped a few of those on my card base. I stamped the sentiment with dark brown ink, but i stamped it off first.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

I adhered the tag to the card base over the cup stains. Last i added silver glitter enamel hexagon's!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Hiya!!

Yep another card for PTI's 7th Anniversary!! I am also entering this in Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Get Krafty!

These are the colors and sketch i followed:

I started with aqua mist card stock and added a strip that inked up with ripe avocado since i don;t have that PTI color cardstock. I used Mat Stack 1 and die cut some Kraft.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

I already had the flowers cut and the leaves were left over from previous cards. I used a hole punch to get the flower centers, just inking them up with hawaiian shores. I stamped the sentiment, then added the flowers
