Thanks

Hello!!

I'm popping in real quick to share a card i made last week. I job shadowed a Pathologist Assistant last week, spending the whole day seeing some really cool specimens!! PA's are assist Pathologist by preparing specimens (cutting, dissecting, fixing (adding chemicals to aid in the slide making)). I'm hoping to apply again to a 2 year program later this year. But anyway i wanted to send out a thank you to the PA, he let me bug him all day with lots of questions!!

I started by stamping the chalkboard from Lawn Fawn A Good Apple stamp set. I stamped it with white ink on black card stock. While i had the white ink out i stamped Thanks on the chalkboard too. I used my finger to smudge the sentiment, along with picking up some of the left over ink on the Thanks stamp to add smudges to help make it look like a chalkboard.

Next i stamped the chalkboard, in black ink on some Kraft card stock. I cut out the edge that goes around the chalkboard. After inking the edge with a black marker i added it to my black chalkboard, which i then cut out.

Then i pulled out Lawn Fawns Science of Love and stamped the beakers on some light grey card stock. I also stamped each one on red, green and blue card stock. I cut out the beakers and the 'liquid' out of the colored card stock. I added the 'liquid' to the beakers, then added the beakers to my chalkboard.

I added some grey chevron pattern paper to a white card base, then die cut some black card stock with a stitched rectangle which i added to the card. I added the chalkboard and last added three grey enamel dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Dana

  3. Following the PA for the day sounds intriguing. I'm crossing my fingers you'll be admitted to the program. I'm sure your questions were well appreciated, especially since they signal how keenly interested you are in this field. Your card: perfect! Thoughtful, eye-catching and most definitely 'manly'. Fabulous!
