Winter Hello

Hi there!!

I hope everyone is staying warm! Negative wind chill and snow are never fun!! Looking forward to next weeks highs in the twenty's!!! Today i have a card i made for Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge and Lawnscaping Challenge #97. Both are doing a winter theme challenge, at first i wasn;t going to play along but falling asleep the other night i came up with the idea for this card.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Lawn Fawn

I started by by die cutting a stitched rectangle from dark blue and white card stock. I cut the bottom off by cutting a wave or two. Then adhered it to the dark blue rectangle. Next i splattered some white spray ink over the blue rectangle and set it aside to dry.

Next i made a branch by pulling out a scrap piece of white card stock and cut the bottom slightly wavy. Then i adhered it to a scrap piece of brown card stock and cut the bottom brown edge similarly. I added the branch to my rectangle piece with foam dots.

I stamped the owl from You're a Hoot in white pigment ink on dark blue card stock. Cut him out and added him to the rectangle with foam dots. Next i stamped the small Hello from the A Birdie Told Me stamp set in the bottom right corner of the rectangle panel.

I was going to add the panel to a white card base but i thought my card base needed something so i pulled out Simon Says Stamps Falling Snow stencil and added a scattering of snow with light grey ink (though i know that it is so light that you can't really see them!). Last i added the rectangle panel with foam dots.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Dana
