Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I really love how this card turned out! A little labor intensive, but worth it!! I started by using the TAWS set Framed. I inked up the large Polaroid frame in black ink and stamped it on white card stock. Next i cut out the frame, along with the inside part of the frame. Then i used the Birch trees from the new Branching Out. I stamped them a couple times next to each other on white card stock with black ink. I also stamped the lone tree by itself on another piece of card stock.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

To color the trees i colored a clear block with a brown Distress Marker, added a little water and with a paint brush colored the trees. Next i cut out the lone tree. I set these aside, to stamp the Moose from the new Moosing You set. I colored him up with Copic Markers, then cut him out.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Next up i had to assemble everything. I started by adhering the lone Birch tree to the back of the frame, so you could see it through the Polaroid frame. I did the same thing with the moose. Then i added foam tape to the back of the frame, tree and moose. Pulling out the row of stamped birched trees i adhered the frame with the tree and moose attached, over the row of trees. I trimmed off the excess card stock.

Now that i have this 3D Polaroid, i needed to put it on a card base. I thought that a white background was a too plan, so i used a Simon Says Stamp stencil. I placed it over a white card base and then used the same brown Distress Marker to sketch the stencil. By sketch i mean that i used the fine tip to add color to the open spaces of the stencil. Then i went back with the other tip to color the circles.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
Last i added the Polaroid frame to my card base. But at this point i thought the card sure had a lot of brown. So to add a little color i stamped the bird from the Moosing You set, colored him red, cut him and added him to sit on the moose.

The Alley Way Stamps - Sneak Peek #2

Hello!!

Its time for a new release over at The Alley Way Stamps, today i have a sneak peek of the new stamp set Tootharina! The full reveal is this Saturday!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I started with a mint ombre paper and placed a stencil over it. I added some transparent embossing paste, then set it aside to dry. Meanwhile i die cut a piece of white card stock and then stamped the Tootharina fairy in black.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I colored her with copic markers. For her skirt i stamped her a few more times on scrap card stock and colored just a row on each one, skipping the petals too. I cut out each petal and added them to my fairy from the bottom up with foam dots. Rather then adding the skirt as a whole, i think adding each petal individually adds a bit of texture! Before adding the panel to my card base i stamped the sentiment Tootharina above the fairy.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

When the embossing paste was dry i added my fairy panel to the card with foam dots. To finish off the card i added a few mint and purple sequins! Oh and i added a little Wink of Stella to the skirt and wings!

Next i went through my pattern paper scraps, found one i liked and cut a wave along one edge. I added the pattern paper to a white card base with foam dots, trimming off any over hang. I added the little monster to my 'ground.'

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Simon Says Stamp

#Party

Hello!!

Today i'm sharing a The Alley Way Stamps card today! I need some birthday cards and i wanted to make one that was more for a older teen or young adult.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I started with a bright pink and kraft pattern paper and adding it to a kraft card base. From the same pad i picked out a black and kraft flower pattern. I stamped a cupcake top on the pattern paper and cut it out. With a white opaque pen i colored in parts of the flowers. I stamped a cupcake bottom on kraft card stock and cut it out.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Next i stamped a candle and strawberry on kraft card stock, then cut them out. I added a little yellow glitter glue to the candle. I colored the strawberry with a sparkly red pen. I added the cupcake, candle and strawberry to my card base.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
Last i cut a strip of black card stock and stamped and embossed the #party sentiment. I added it to my card base with foam tape and trimmed off the over hang.

Love You (again!)

Hello!!

Yep! I have another card for you!! All these wonderful challenges have really gotten my mojo going!! I made today's card for Winnie & Walter's 1st Birthday Challenge, the Color Combo Challenge this is my 4th and last card for the W&W challenges! I've had fun playing along, i just wish i had more time to play with the remaining challenges! The color combo is white, silver/grey, mint/aqua, and blue.

This card was inspired by Taheerah Atchia's Hello My Friend card (third card). I loved how she used a sequin stamp and stencil to create the Hello. For my card i stamped and embossed the LOVE from The Big, the Bold and the Happy W&W stamp set. I embossed it with a silvery/pearl embossing powder.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Winnie & Walter
Then i used Copic marker G40 to stipple around the sentiment. I left the space inside the L, O and E white, along with not stippling below the sentiment. G40 is a nice light mint color, i swear, it really looks awesome in person, but no matter the background or lighting i could not get my photos to look any better!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Winnie & Walter

I stamped the you just above the swoosh from the E. Then i added a strip of grey and blue card stock below the sentiment. I though about adding sequins or enamel dots, but i finally figured the stippling was enough!

I hope you have a great week! Thanks for stopping by!

Love You

Hello!

Happy Sunday! Hope everyone is having a great day!! Today i am sharing a card i made for the Sparkle and Shine Challenge Design Team Call. I've had the idea for this card kickin' around my head for awhile and i figure now was a good time to make it happen! I work retail and kids cloths that i am around a lot have had these shirts with different icons, hearts, stars, peace sign etc. Each one was covered in sequins and i thought it turn into a great card!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Penny Black
I am also entering this into Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, the challenge being hearts!!
I started by die cutting a big heart. I added liquid glue a little bit at a time and added the sequins, kind of overlapping them a little. The heart used a lot of sequins, so its a great way to use up some if you like or as i was doing it, though smaller images with smaller sequins would work great too!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Penny Black

Once i had everything adhered i set it aside to dry real good! Later i came back and manipulated the sequins to make sure they were all attached good! The glue made the heart warp a little, so i die cut another heart and added it to the back of the sequin heart with double sided tape.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Penny Black

Next i stamped the cute elephant image from Penny Black and colored him and his heart balloon with copics, then i cut him out (isn't he so cute?!?!). I cut a circle from black card stock and then embossed in white the sentiment love you.
Last it was just a matter of adhering the heart, the circle and the elephant to a white card base. Oh i also rounded the corners of the card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I have a category for sequins if you want to check out my other cards with sequins.

Make It Stop!

Hello!!

I'm popping in to share a card i made a couple moths ago, its been kickin' around my desk for awhile just waiting for its time on the blog. This Newton's Nook set Winter Tails is so cute!! I love winter and the snow so its the perfect set for me! I really needed this set last winter, it was just under the record for snowfall!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Newton's Nook

Anyway, i started by stamping the bunny holding the snow shovel and the sign. I used versamark and embossed the images with clear embossing powder. I also stamped the Make it Stop! sentiment in the sign and embossed it.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Newton's Nook

Next used Copic markers to color the bunny and sign. I colored the shovel with pink and red distress markers as i didn;t have red copic markers yet. I also stamped some of the snow banks around the bunny and sign, then cut around everything. I added a little shadow with a grey copic marker, then added some glitter glue.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Newton's Nook

On a white card base i stamped and embossed in clear, several snowflakes. Then with an ink applicator and light blue distress ink i colored the card base. I added the cut out panel with foam tape.

Hello

Hiya!!

Today i'm sharing a card i made for Neat & Tangled Little Tangled Challenge Blog. The challenge is Saying Hello!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Neat & Tangled
I started with a white card base and then pulled out Neat & Tangled's Party Dots stamp set. There is a strip of dots in the stamp set and i inked that strip up with navy pigment ink. I stamped it on my card base with the close dots at the top. I continued the dots across the card.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Neat & Tangled

Next i used one of the small dots in the set and with bright pink ink added pink dots randomly around my card. I found some navy ribbon to add to the top of my card. I wrapped some around my card base and adhered it to the card. With another piece of ribbon i made a bow which i adhered to the card.

Happy Mother's Day

Hello,

Today i am sharing a card i made for Winnie & Walter's 1st Birthday Sketch Challenge. Here's the sketch:

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Winnie & Walter
I started with a ombre pattern paper, cutting it to fit a white card base. Next i picked out some pretty flower pattern paper from the same pad. Then die cut the peony from the flower paper and black card stock. The flower cuts an outline of the peony and i adhered the black and flower outline on some white card base, then added the little inside pieces, black in the flower outline and the flower pattern in the black outline. I originally thought to only use one flower, but later decided to make the both flowers represent the two circles in the sketch.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Winnie & Walter

I cut out the flowers from the card stock i adhered them too. With a black marker i inked the flowers edges. On the black outline flower i added a couple dots to the center with a white opaque pen.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Winnie & Walter
At this point i decided to add some black ink splatters to my ombre pattern paper. While that was drying i worked on my sentiment. I die cut a double ended banner twice. Looking at W&W's The Big, The Bold and the Happy stamp set i decided to make a mother's day card. I stamped happy one one banner and mother's day on the other.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Winnie & Walter

I added the black flower to my card base and the banners to the flower pattern one, then i added it to the card with foam dots. Last i added some sequins because sequins make anything better!! Luckily i had some pink ones that matched the pattern paper.

Party!

Hello!!

How is everyone today?? I'm doing great, i made 6 cards Sunday! Yep i was in the groove!! I'm sharing one today! This card didn;t turn out quite like a planned but i still really like it!! Since i did a bunch of coloring i am entering this into Marker Pop's Anything Goes Challenge #60! I'm going to have to place an order at Marker Pop soon, i need more Copic colors!!! I'm thinking yellow and orange, or maybe pink and purple.... its so hard to choose!!

Anyway, so my plan for my card was a one layer card but it didn't turn out that way! lol! I started with a white card base and used The Alley Way Stamps Bubbly and Cake Day to create my background.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I used Memento ink since next i colored it with Copic markers. I think i used every marker i have except my skin and brown colors! (i don;t have very many markers!).

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

So i was about 95% done with my coloring when i messed up a balloon. To cover up my mistake i stamped 3 balloons from Cake Day, cut them out and added some black twine to the backs of them. I added the balloons to my card with foam tape and added a little grey Copic for shading. I tied a bow around the twine tails and then adhered it to my card.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
Thanks so much for stopping by!! I'll be sharing more cards this week! Along with a giveaway here on my blog later this week, oh and before i forget The Alley Way Stamps still has a sale going over at their shop in celebration for their 3rd Birthday!!

Take care!
