Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I started by stamping the cute buffalo on Kraft card stock with brown ink. Then i used a few brown copic markers to color the buffalo. The markers kind of blurred some of the lines of the buffalo, so i used a brown fine tip copic marker to go back and add the lines back in, along with making his eyes and noses darker. Next i fussy cut him out.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I stamped Line Upon Line with brown ink on a Kraft card base. Then i found western looking pattern paper, i cut a strip of it and added it to my card base. I have some wood embellishments that went along with the pattern paper and

Last i cut a small strip of kraft card stock and stamped the sentiment What's Up. Its from the new Yappy set in this release. I added the strip across the bottom wood and gold embellishment!!

Addicted to Stamps & More Challenge #133

Hello!

Its time for a new challenge over at Addicted to Stamps & More!! This week the challenge is Holiday!! I went with Easter!! I used bright spring like colors because i am so ready for spring!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - A Muse Studio
I started with a light blue card base then added a white notched banner with the flat side at the bottom of the card base (oh, i almost forgot, before adding it to the card base i tied a twine bow around it!). Next i die cut several Easter eggs from pattern paper. I also cut some white felt flowers and green felt leaves.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - A Muse Studio
Next i arranged the eggs and flowers at the bottom of the card, when i was happy with the arrangement i adhered some eggs directly to the card and a couple with foam dots. I adhered the flowers and leaves on and around the eggs then added a little pink glitter glue to each flower center.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - A Muse Studio

Last i inked up the You're Egg-stra Special' sentiment and stamped it above the banner. I just love this sentiment, a perfect little message to send to a special someone for Easter!!

Woot Woot

Hello!!

I'm popping by with a card i made with The Alley Way Stamps new release stamps!! (Guess what?!?! March is around the corner and so is new TAWS stamps!!). I had the stamps spread out on my table and i was thinking up ideas when i thought, you know i need to give some love to the small little images that are in these sets!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I started by stamping lots of images all on white card stock. I colored them all with Inktense colored pencils and water, but i didn;t use watercolor paper. Next i cut a small white card stock panel and stamped one birch tree on it, then colored it up with a black Inktense pencil and water too.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

With all the images (which i cut out) i arranged them on my birch tree and when i was happy with the arrangement i adhered them down. Next i stamped the sentiment Woot Woot from Spellcheck, cut it out and added it to the panel.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I found some orange pattern paper that i added to a white card base. The panel went on next with some foam tape. I also added a few light brown sequins to the panel.

Wishing You Happy Birthday

Hello!

Today i am sharing a card i made for A Day For Daisies Challenge #115. I've been wanting to play along with their challenges for some time now and i finally got around to printing out a few of the ADFD digi stamps. The challenge is to add glitter, i used black glitter ribbon on my card (see photo below to see the sparkle).
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - A Day for Daisies
I started by using a stitched rectangle die to cut out the image from my card stock. I just love the little girls with the adorable kittens, i colored it with Copic markers.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - A Day for Daisies

Next i pulled out a pattern paper pad, it had a nice purple that i embossed with an embossing folder. And of course i ended up doing to wrong, so the dots are pressed into the purple side rather then being raised, but oh well, it still works!! LOL

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - A Day for Daisies

I adhered the colored image with double sided tape and then did the same with the glitter ribbon. Next i die cut 2 wishing words from white card stock, one i ran through my small sticker machine to make it easier to adhere the two wishing's together.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - A Day for Daisies

Then i adhered the wishing to the card and stamped 'you happy birthday' to the right of the wishing. Last i added two tiny black glitter above the wishing to dot my i's.

Happy Birthday

Hello!

Today i'm sharing a card i made for Penny Black's Simplicity Challenge! This card was inspired by Mayuri card here. I also tried a new technique i learned from the Online Card Class, but it didn;t work quite how i wanted it to!

One of the many techniques in the class was to make a stamped faux tile, only my attempt dosne;t really look like a tile. I think i need to get the super thick embossing powder!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Penny Black
I don't have any art inchies that were used for this technique, so i made my own from some thin chip board (think cereal box) and white card stick. I used a  rectangle die to cut each piece, then adhered them together. Then i covered the rectangle with a post it note

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Penny Black

Next i used Penny Black's Field of Dreams poppy flower die, i placed over my rectangle and ran it through my Big Shot once. It cut through the post it note and card stock but not the chip board. I learned that a die that more solid shape would be best as i had a little trouble with the steam, but it worked out in the end.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Penny Black
I carefully pealed the background post it note, leaving the post it note over the flowers. With a couple distress inks, i added blue ink to the background. When that was done, pealed the flower post it notes off and colored the flowers and stems with Copic markers.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Penny Black

Next i added several layers of clear embossing powder to the rectangle. I think i did four layers, but i still didn;t get a dome or at least a smooth finish over the flower, so it dosent; really look like a tile. But i still like it!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Penny Black

I added the rectangle to a white card base and stamped the sentiment below it. Last i used a butterfly punch to add black butterflies.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! (stay warm!!)

Lost a Tooth

Hello!

I hope everyone is staying warm, it has slowly warmed up to the twenties today... but tomorrow back to the below zero with a -25 wind chill or so!! I'm so ready for spring!! But anyway today i have a quick card for you!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I used The Alley Way Stamps new Toothrina stamp set, specifically the tooth and the tie that goes around the tooth. I started by stamping the tie three times on a white card base and a fourth time on a scratch piece of paper. The tie isn't long enough to reach the top of the card, so i extended each line with a black marker and a ruler.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Next i stamped the tooth three times on the card and once more on the scratch paper. I cut out the tooth from the extra paper and added it to my card base with foam dots.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
Last i stamped up the sentiment below the teeth. For a little pop of color i stamped the tiny hearts in the set on either side of the sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I trimmed a fourth pattern into two strips and added them to a white card base, one on each side. Next i adhered a white panel to the card center. I stamped the sentiment Special Delivery from Baby Talk.

With Deepest Sympathy

Hello!!

This is my last card for Papertrey Ink's Anniversary Challenges. Its super cold and winding here in Michigan, so i will be catching up on my blog reading and do a little studying, all inside!!! This card is for the Blue Ombre Challenge.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Papertrey Ink
I started with a panel of water color paper, i added water to it with a paint brush. Next i pressed three blue distress ink pads on the panel, light at the top and dark at the bottom. With a wet paint brush i blended the ink together, then set it aside to dry.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Papertrey Ink

Meanwhile i die cut the leave and stem from Rosie Posie set, along with one of the flowers. I colored the matching stamps with distress markers and spritzed them once or twice with water. Stamping them on there matching shape. I used watercolor paper with these too and let them dry.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Papertrey Ink

When my panel was dry i stamped the sympathy sentiment at the bottom. I added the flower to the card base with foam tape, and wa-la and super quick sympathy card.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Papertrey Ink
I hope everyone has a great weekend and stay warm!!

Sending Prayers

Hello,

Stopping in with another card for Papertrey Ink's Anniversary Challenge! I have done a couple craft shows over the past few months and baby cards and sympathy cards were in need so i need to add them to the stash. So this card is a sympathy card for PTI's Metallic Challenge.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Papertrey Ink

I started by using the Chevron Cover Plate and cutting it once with black card stock and a second piece from a matte gold washi tape sheet. I originally wanted to lay down the washi tape chevron, but well that turned out to be a mess, picture super thin, sticky die cut.... So instead i adhered the black chevron piece on a white card base.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Papertrey Ink

Then i inserted the smaller chevron pieces to fill in the cut outs, much easier to add then the hole chevron cut out. And since the washi sheet is so much thinner then the card stock, it looks almost embossed.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Papertrey Ink

Next i cut a strip of black card stock and then embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder and adhered it to the card base. Then i cut a butterfly from vellum card stock, added three gold enamel dots to the butterflies body. I added the butterfly to the card along with a couple other enamel dots.

Thanks for stopping by! Only one more card in a bit and then i'll leave you along!!!

Hello #3

Hi!!

It's me again!! LOL Apparently i really like hello sentiments!! This card is for Papertrey Ink's Anniversary Challenges, the challenge is to be inspired by a card from Maile Belles, i was inspired by the first card on this post.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Papertrey Ink
I started with some water color paper and used water color crayons to color stripes on the panel. With a small paint brush and water i went over the lines, dissolving the crayon lines.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Papertrey Ink

Then i cut out a strip of paper and adhered the two pieces on a white card base leaving out the strip (i'll be saving it to use for another card!!). I inked up the Hello from PTI's Wet Paint set and stamped it to the right of the cut out.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Papertrey Ink

Last i added a few grey gems, i was thinking that i might needed more, an image or something, but finally decided less is more!
