The Alley Way Stamps April Blog Hop

Hello!

Welcome to The Alley Way Stamps April Blog Hop!! These are some seriously adorable stamps!!! Today i'm featuring the Phone Home set! Below is info on how you can win the 3 new sets!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I started by stamping the little space ships twice on white card stock. Next i stamped the small aliens in the space ship's bubble, the stamps are just the right size to fit (no masking necessary!!) I also stamped the small moon and earth, then colored them all up with copic markers. Then i cut them out and set them aside.

For the background i started with a piece of white card stock. On my craft sheet dabbed some Distress Paint, Salty Ocean, Barn Door and Black soot. Then i spritz some pearlized water, lots of it! I just smooshed the white card stock panel in paint. I did this repeatedly, smooshing it at areas that needed some paint, i just wanted a little bit of white left, but really there is no wrong way to do this!

I set it aside to dry, then i used some White Distress Stain and did the same thing, though you don;t need much stain on our mat! After that was dried, i used some spray inks to flick some black and white spots.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Once that was dry i added my space ships and planets with foam dots. I embossed the sentiment in white on a piece of black card stock and adhered it to my card.

The Alley Way Stamps - Sneak Peek #2

Hello!

Today i'm sharing a Sneak Peek card for The Alley Way Stamps April release!! The set is called Say It Don't Spray It (cool name, huh?) It is a fabulous sentiment set!!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I started with a dark orange card base and i masked off the top and bottom part of the card. Then i laid a Tim Holtz stencil over the card and inked it up with a dye ink that is a little darker then the card stock.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Next i pulled up the bottom mask and moved it up so it masked off the stenciling, then i did the same with the top mask covering the stenciling at the top. This set has a few flowers and leaves that i used to stamp up the blank space left by my masks.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Then i cut a strip of white card stock and stamped one of the several sentiments from the Say It Don't Spray It stamp set. I used the same dark orange ink that i used for the flower stamping. I also added two extra arrows to either side of the Beautiful. I added the strip to my card with foam dots. Last i added some dots around the flowers with a white opaque pen.

Exciting News!

Hello,

Today i have exciting news to share with you today! I'm excited announce that i have joined the Art Impressions Design Team!! The ladies there are very talented and i am so looking forward to working them and showcasing these stamps!!

I am also submitting this tag Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - Anything Goes Challenge and to Darnell's NBUS #4 Challenge (this is the first time these little kitties are seeing ink!).

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions
To celebrate i made a little tag using one of the new 2015 Front & Backs cling stamps, Purr-thday! I started by die cutting a tag from white card stock. The inside rectangle comes out and i stamped the front of the kitties along the bottom. I colored the kitties with Copic markers, then i cut them out.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

With the left over, i flipped over and pressed it against the back of the cats, then trimmed off the extra. This way i can hide the messy back of the cats. I adhered the tag to a piece of acetate, then added the colored cats in the window.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions
Next i cut the tag again and adhered it to the back of the first tag, to hide the adhesive holding the acetate. Then i added the plain backing that i cut to match the cats.

I inked up the sentiment that comes with the set and stamped it on the small back piece. Then i added some black ribbon and twine. Of course i got a text finger print smudge on the back so i had to add some enamel dots!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I look forward to sharing my Art Impressions creations with you!!

Hello

Hi!

Well the paper is done and turned!! Yahoo!!! Now i can get back my normal activities!!! Today i'm sharing a card i made last week, or was it before that.... i don't know the past week has been kind of a blur!! hehe!! I am entering this in Simon Says Stamp Wednesday's Challenge - Anything Goes.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I wanted to use up this sheet of stickers that have been hanging out on my desk for like forever!!! So i started adding the label stickers to a white card base.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Next i stamped the little chicks from The Alley Way Stamps Hard Boiled stamp set in a brown ink. Then i stamped the Hello from the same set.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I thought it still needed something, so i went through my embellishments and found some brads. BUT i didn't want to have to punch holes and have the brad backs on the inside of the card. So instead i cut them off with a wire cutter thingy (a very technical name!!). I add a tiny dot of foam tape and a little bit of liquid glue to adhere it to the brad, then a little more glue to add the brad to the card and wa-la a brad without the whole punch!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Addicted to Stamps Challenge #137

Hello!

It's time for a new challenge over Addicted to Stamps and More!! This week the challenge is Make Your Mark! The sponsor for the challenge is Sweet Pea Stamps!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Simon Says Stamp
I made a spring theme card using some new goodies i purchase a bit ago. I started by using a Avery Elle die to cut rectangle. Then i stamped the girl, flowers and puddling, doing a little masking here and there. I colored her up with Copic Markers.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Simon Says Stamp

Next i stamped the sentiment, first masking the spring and stamping the happy. Then masking the happy to stamp the spring. I used a pigment ink for the puddle and rather then just having plain old solid flowers i used a colorless blender to light up the flower petals.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Simon Says Stamp
Then i added a few enamel dots in a couple shades of mint and a clear glitter. Last i adhered the panel to a light mint colored card base.

Never Stop Dreaming

Hello!!

I'm popping in with a The Alley Way Stamps card!!! It features one of the new March stamps, Wigwam.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I made a simple background with the dream catcher image by stamping it multiple times with a brown ink. Then with a red copic marker i colored the beads in each dream catcher. And that's the background!! Super duper simple!!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Next i found some red card stock and trimmed it down. I stamped the Never Stop Dreaming sentiment, also from the Wigwam set. Then i added the strip to my card base with foam dots.

Eggstra Special

Hello!!

I'm popping in with a card today featuring one of The Alley Way Stamps new March stamps, Hard Boiled! Such an adorable set, for my card i went a little vintage with the help of pattern paper.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I started by using a dotted rectangle die to cut some pattern paper, then i inked the edges with distress ink. I adhered it to a peice of card stock that matches my pattern paper. Next i cut a strip of kraft card stock and adhered it across my card. From another peice of kraft i cut a heart and lines die, then inked it up to make it a little bit darker then the kraft, then added it to the kraft strip.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Next i stamped a few of the chickens and chicks from the Hard Boiled set in brown ink, then colored them up with Copic markers. Next i i cut them out and inked there edges with a distress marker.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I have a few matching buttons and brads that are apart of the same collection as the pattern paper. I added one of each to my card, then added the chicks with foam dots. Last i stamped the 'You're Eggstra Special sentiment in brown ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Happy Birthday

Hello!!

A little quite round here i know, its going to be for the next couple weeks! I have a research paper to get done and well i'm a procrastinator when it comes to writing! But today i'm popping in quick to share a masculine birthday card!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I started by pulling out a Basic Grey collection pack called Carte Postale. I found a cool journaling card and a few stickers that i liked. Then i stamped the skull from The Alley Way Stamps Wigwam set on some pattern paper in the collection. I cut out the horns from a brown pattern and added them to my skull. With a brown marker i colored in the eyes and nose of the skull.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Then i played with the arrangement of the skull and stickers, when i was happy i adhered some to the journal card and some with foam dots. Then I added the journaling card with foam dots to a kraft card base.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

With brown ink i stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the TAWS Yappy set. I thought it still needed something so i stamped a row of tiny arrows along the left side.

What's Up?

Hiya!!

I hope everyone has been having a good week! The snow is slowly melting here and the warmer weather feels great i'm starting to sort through my winter cloths to make room for lighter clothes! But anyway, today i'm sharing a card i made for the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge, this is for the color inspiration:

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I started by finding ink colors that are similar to the blue and green in the photo. I went with Hero Arts Green Hills and Soft Pool. I pressed the ink pads into some white card stock, then i did the same thing with two different shades of brown ink. Next i used The Alley Way Stamps Hey Cupcake stamp set and stamped the two cupcake wrappers on the brown ink spots and the two cupcake tops on the green and blue spots. Then i cut them out and adhered the bottoms to the cupcake tops.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Then i stamped the three small circles from he Hey Cupcake set in white ink on the green cupcake. After the pigment ink was dry i colored in the circles with a white opaque pen.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
Next i found some green and white polka dot pattern paper that matched my green cupcake and i adhered it to a white card base. I wanted to use the dotted notched dies, so to make sure they matched i colored up some white card base with the ink again, then used the dies.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I arranged the dies cuts together and used staples to adhere them together. At this point i needed a sentiment i thought that the Sweet Cakes in the Hey Cupcakes set would go great with the What's Up? Sentiment in the new Yappy set. I inked them up and stamped them in black ink on dotted die cuts.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
Last i added the cupcakes and found some white enamel dots to add to my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!
