Merry Christmas (yes, again)

Hello!

So its November .... which means December and Christmas is around the corner. I'm ramping up my Christmas card making to prepare for a Holiday Bazaar in the beginning of December so be prepared for lots and lots of holiday/winter cards!!

I am entering this card into Moxie Fab World's Tree-mendous Trees Challenge!

Today's card started with a background that i made months and months ago, for whatever reason it didn;t work then so it went into my 'extra's bowl.' I pulled it out to use in my on going quest to use up the ton of stuff in my 'extra's bowl.'

The background is black and i used a flower from The Alley Way Stamps  Flower Show and stamped it in white ink all over the panel. I pulled out Making Holiday's Bright stamp set and used three triangles to make Christmas trees. I used the swipe technique on the solid triangle.

I found a white card stock piece and just cut a simple wave into one edge. I added the snow and trees with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment in the bottom right corner. Last i found some gold washi tape and added a short strip to a card stock piece, then die cut three tiny stars. I added them to the tops of the trees!

Having a background already done sure does speed up the card making processes!! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Rawr!

Hi!!

Today i am sharing a card i made for Moxie Fab's Fabulous Friday Challenge: Graphic Garland. I took inspiration from the colors in the garland along with the chevron shape! I also used some stamps from The Alley Way Stamps September release!!

I started with white card base and used a Chevron stencil and matched the colors to the photo as best i could with several kinds of ink. Next i die cut 3 squares, i trimmed around the negative squares and then adhered it to the card base with foam tape.

Then i stamped, colored and cut out the tiny dino's from the Livin' Fossil set. I added the dino's to the positive squares. I added the squares to the negative frame.

I stamped the sentiment Rawr from the Stomper set three times vertically along the square frame. I colored one of the sentiments with distress markers.

Blue Bird Hello

Hey!!

Today i am sharing a nice springy card with a lovely blue bird! I've started to see birds around here so spring must be on the way! Birds would know wouldn't they? lol

I am entering this in Moxie Fab's Styling with Stencils Challenge.

I used a technique i learn at the Online Stencil Card Class, i forget what its called but basically you draw lines in the stencil shape. For my card i used the fine tip end of my distress markers and filled in each part of the stencil with several colors. For example with the bird i started with a light blue, making long lines (vertical lines, top to bottom). Then i went in with a darker blue, added my lines from about middle down. Next i used my darkest blue and added lines starting near the bottom of the bird. Last i went back with my light blue and added more lines to help blend. I also added a few darker lines above the main line to help blend a bit. (hopefully this all makes sense!!)

I continued to do this for the leaves and the branches. I went in with a find tip black marker and gave the bird a eye. Next i stamped the sentiment Hello in black ink. Last i trimmed the panel a little and added a blue strip at the right and adhered it all to my card base.

Season's Greetings

Hi!

Today i have the Christmas card i promised you yesterday! I am linking this up to Moxie Fab's Holiday Card Challenge.

I'm using a new stamp i got at a scrapbook show a couple weekends ago. I thought this tree was really cute!!

I stamped the tree in brown ink on watercolor paper. Then i colored it with distress markers and water! One side of paper had torn when i got it out of its binding and i liked it, so i tore the top part, but left the other 2 sides alone.

Next i pulled out some orange cardstock and inked the edges. I adhered some jute ribbon to my cardbase, then adhered the tree panel to my card. I stamped the sentiment Season's Greetings in brown ink at the lower right, below the tree.

Last i adhered a length of rusty star's. I picked this up a couple years ago at Hobby Lobby in the mini tree decoration aisle.

Dang... Belated Birthday Wishes

Happy Sunday!

Today i meant to share a new Christmas card i made a few days ago, but yesterday i made a card i really liked and wanted to submit it to Moxie Fab's Birthday Card Challenge AND Moxie Fab's Trendy Triangles Challenge!

I am also submitting this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Triangles. I have no triangle stamps and i THINK i have triangle dies, but i was too lazy to go looking.

 Instead i pulled out a square punch, punched out some squares out of various scrap papers. I cut a couple of the squares in half (to get triangles) and played with the layout until i liked the shapes the squares and triangles made.

I used double sided adhesive to adhere the squares and triangles on my cardbase. Last i stamped the word dang, added three dots with a marker. Then i stamped Belated Birthday Wishes below it.

Hello!! Happy Sunday!

I hope everyone is enjoying there weekend!! I have a card to share today with a camping theme to it!! I am linking this up to CAS-ology Challenge: Camp and to Newton's Nook Designs First Sketch Challenge and last to Moxie Fab's Birthday Card Challenge, because well why not??? Its a birthday card!! LOL

The challenge for me was to make a CAS card from the sketch and luckily Newton's Nook has a camp themed stamp set that i happen to have!

Instead of using pattern paper for the rectangle behind the circle and banner in the sketch, i stamped the tiny little lightening bug, in white ink, filling in the same rectangle shape. I did stamp off the bug first as i didn;t want it to be glaring white!!

Next i punched a circle and stamped the fire and two marshmallows. I colored them in with some water and distress inks.

Last i had a banner that laying on my desk that i had die cut at some point and it was a perfect fit for the birthday sentiment. I adhered the banner and circle with foam tape to my cardbase.

Talking about camping i hope you stop by tomorrow, i am a guest designer, and the kit just happens to have a camping/travel theme!! I'll have all the details, plus a bonus card on my blog tomorrow!!

Sweet Girl Birthday

Hi!

Today i have a Birthday card for you, perfect for a young girl! I am linking up the card to Moxie Fab Birthday Sketch Challenge and Penny Black's Beat the Heat!

The challenge for Moxie Fab is to either All Stamped or Or No Stamping. And as you can see i went with stamping!!

I stamped the Penny Black Flowers for Mimi in black ink 3 times on white cardstock. Next i punched a 1 3/4 circle and used the negative space to trace a circle over my stamped images, that way i would only color the areas that i planned to punch out.

I used distress inks and water to color the 3 images. Then i punched them out. Next i adhered them to my pink cardbase with foam dots.

Next i stamped happy birthday, masking each word before stamping (the stamp has Happy over Birthday). Last i added a sparkly gemstone in between Happy and Birthday.

Moxie Fab World - The Gift Challenge

Hi!

So i had no plans to get this project done in time to submit it to Moxie Fab World - Gift Challenge that ends today, but Sunday morning i decided to get it done and submitted! I am a little late in sending this baby gift, but in my defense Olivia did came a little early! LOL Now that it is done, i hope to get it in the mail this week! :)

*** Warning **** Lots of Photos!!! LOL

 I already had the little box and album cut and assembled but i was a little stumped as to what to do next, but last week i saw a baby card by Taheerah (check it out here) and when i sat down to make a card and finish the album i remembered Taheerah's card and cranked this out yesterday!

I'm not going to go out into detail, but i did the box cover first and i die cut her name and then added the tiny bear and heart, like some people do in baby's room with those giant letters!

Before i started on the pages, i die cut a bunch of flowers, tags, and bows and layered up a few. This way i had embellishments at the ready as i did up each page.

Pocket with Journal Card

I decided to keep this pretty clean with not a lot of embellishments on each page and no mat for pics. Manly b/c i only have the pattern paper that i used for the box and album cover. It also helps when you don;t have a lot of time! LOL

When i send this i will include the double sided photo adhesives so Olivia's mom can add pictures and journaling to the album as she likes!

Moxie Fab World- The Card Set Challenge

Hello!

Today i have a set of cards that i have been meaning to make for a looong time!! Almost a year ago i moved back to MI from TN, and i have 4 good girlfriends that i have been wanting to send them some just because cards since i moved, but this past semester i've been a bit busy, so i never did! BUT i used the challenge at Moxie Fab World to actually get a card set done that i can mail to them!

I used this super cute image of two mice hugging! To keep it simple i colored the mice with 2 colors, grey and light pink. I just used  a couple markers on a clear block, water and a tiny paint brush! Then i adhered tiny rhinestone to the mice's bows.

Then i found a perfect sentiment that had a hug and a because! :) I stamped the Hug, You and Because in the same pink marker that i used to color the mice.

So as you can see coloring can be fast and easy, just keep it simple!! And cute! :)

Moxie Fab - Itty Bitty Card Challenge #4

Happy Sunday!

Today i have the last card set for Moxie Fab - Itty Bitty Card Challenge. Its been fun making them and now i will have to make some little envelopes!! :)  This mini card set is very similar to some ones that i already made, click here to see that post. I really love these tiny butterflies, so i wanted to make some that were a little more valentiney! I also noticed that when i made the original butterflies it was summer and could take my pictures outside on a sunny day and they are so much better then these ones below that were taken inside.

Just like the my other tiny cards, i scored and made a fold with some cardstock. Place the top of the butterfly die just above the fold and run it through your die cut machine a few times. Next i cut the butterflies from cardstock.

I picked out a few pink inks and stamped the butterflies on the die cuts. Next i stamped the tiny Love You. I cut it out and punched a tiny whole. Then i adhered the die cut butterflies to the mini cards.

Last i added the twine and tags to the mini cards, adhere the tags with pop up dots.
