Papertrey Ink March Blog Hop

Hi!

It's time for Papertrey Ink's March Blog Hop. I have a quick card and post cuz i have to hit the books and keep studying for my Organic/Bio Chemistry test later this week (Ugh!!)

CAS cards come in handy when you need a clean and simple card! I stamped and embossed the flowers and sentiment.

Spritz some green ink spray, let it dry and then glued on a few sequins. Easy peasy!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Country Mother's Day

Hello Everyone!

I have a super quick post today. Its been a busy weekend of studying, working and card making, so i'm making this post short and sweet, but it took me a week to finish the card, working on it each day for 10 or 15 minutes depending on time available!

I'm submitting this to Paper Crafts March Gallery Challenge. The challenge is country, so i dug deep into my stamps and embellishments and this is what i came up with!

The peach flower is a piece of fabric that i spritzed with ink, then made the flower. The brown and green button is a vintage button. The brown button i made with a button maker kit and brown fabric.

That's it today! I'll be back tomorrow with a card for Papertrey Ink's March Blog Hop! CAS cards are so nice with time so scarce, stop by for my fastest card ever!! :)

Thanks!

Dana

Orange and Mint

Hello!

How is everyone?!?! I know its been awhile since my last post, unfortunately my Organic/Bio Chemistry class this semester is taking up must of my time!!! But this past week was Spring Break and i was finally able to get into my craft room! I made a couple DT cards and a card for a contest. I also did a card for a color challenge, but i missed the challenge, but i'm posting it anyway!

The color challenge included a dark and light orange along with mint. I really like this color combo, especially since orange is my favorite color!!! I'm also really loving the minty clothing and accessory's that you can find in stores lately!

I also wanted to play with a new spritz that i found at Michael's. For my card i stamped and embossed a houndstooth background, spritz, let it dry, then wiped the embossed areas lightly with a damp baby wipe. I trimmed it to fit my cardbase.

I trimmed a scrap piece of cardstock and stitched mint bakers twine around the rectangle. Then i stamped Happy Mother's Day.

I found some minty music pattern paper and die cut some flowers, and amazingly found some pearls that matched! I adhered the flowers to the orange piece, then to the houndstooth and finally to my cardbase.

I hope i'll be able to get back to the craft room soon! Just a month and half left of chemistry... hopefully i'll make it to the end! LOL

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I made a Valentine Ensemble: a love banner for Hampton Art/Core'dinations Feature Week and a card and candy jar for Made With Love Blog Hop! There are tons of inspiration and giveaways on these two hops too!!

If you are here from Gloria's blog you are in the right place!! OR if you are here from Erin Lee you can scroll down for my Made With Love post or click here to go directly!

More details and links to the Made With Love Blog Hop and Part 2 of my Valentine Ensemble are at the end of this post!

We received some awesome cardstock from Core'dinations and it was fun to use them with some Hampton Art stamps!

I recently got a Silhouette and have been playing with it ever since! I'm not going to into a lot of details, just a few notes on how i made each part of the banner!

I used an embossing folder for the polka dots and used my Silhouette to cut the triangles. I also used it out the flowers and hearts.

For the letters, i first stamped and embossed some cardstock, then used the Silhouette to cut them out. I also stamped a arrow, a love circle and a ticket, those i cut out by hand!

I used some twine to string it up! Each flag is movable so you could space each flag out like this:

or push them together like this:

Hampton Art and Core'dinations are both having giveaways. You have until Sunday February 17th to leave a comment on each designers blog from the whole week AND both Hampton Art & Core'dinations have an extra giveaway when you enter the Rafflecopter on each of their blogs!!

For those you might not know, last summer i was lucky enough to make it into Paper Crafts Gallery Idol Top 20 and have had a wonderful time getting to know the other 19 ladies ever since! We talk pretty much every day and have all become good friends. Last year we did a blog hop and are doing it again, only bigger and better this year!!
This year we have awesome giveaways on EACH blog!!! And there is a grand prize from Ribbon Carousel! Details Below!!

For my Valentine ensemble i made a cute jar to fill with candy and a card. To start with i found a smooth glass jar at Michael's. I used my Silhouette to cut a row of negative hearts. Wrap the negative around the jar and ink up each heart with watermark ink.
Add embossing powder to the hearts and CAREFULLY heat the embossing powder. Then fill with candy!!

I stamped and cut out a little tag, added some flowers and hearts and tied it to the jar with twine. I also stamped and embossed a circle with a die cut heart for the jar lid.

For the card i layered more flowers and hearts (i cut a bunch of each, so i had plenty to play with!) I added a stamped ticket and sentiment along with some twine.

Here is picture of the whole Valentine Ensemble.

Each designer today on the Made With Love Hop is having a giveaway! Thank you to all wonderful sponsors volunteered prizes for our hop! As you can see below we have some awesome sponsors!!

The Crafts Meow has generously offered up 1 stamp set of your choice!! How cool is that!!! Leave your comment on this post by Thursday, February 21st. I'll be announcing the winner Monday, February 25th!

AND every comment will be entered in the Grand Prize - A $90 gift card at Ribbon Carousel

Your next stop in the hop is the lovely and talented Laurie Wilison!

Moxie Fab - Itty Bitty Card Challenge #4

Happy Sunday!

Today i have the last card set for Moxie Fab - Itty Bitty Card Challenge. Its been fun making them and now i will have to make some little envelopes!! :)  This mini card set is very similar to some ones that i already made, click here to see that post. I really love these tiny butterflies, so i wanted to make some that were a little more valentiney! I also noticed that when i made the original butterflies it was summer and could take my pictures outside on a sunny day and they are so much better then these ones below that were taken inside.

Just like the my other tiny cards, i scored and made a fold with some cardstock. Place the top of the butterfly die just above the fold and run it through your die cut machine a few times. Next i cut the butterflies from cardstock.

I picked out a few pink inks and stamped the butterflies on the die cuts. Next i stamped the tiny Love You. I cut it out and punched a tiny whole. Then i adhered the die cut butterflies to the mini cards.

Last i added the twine and tags to the mini cards, adhere the tags with pop up dots.

Have a great day!

Dana
