I hope everyone has a joy filled Holiday!!! I have one last Christmas card to share! I mixed a little Art Impressions and Essentials by Ellen together for an easy card! 

I started with some watercolor card stock trimmed to fit a white card base. Then I stamped the cute chickens from Art Impressions Dairy Christmas set in brown ink. Then I used the following Distress Markers to color it: Weathered Wood, Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick, Forest Moss, Barn Door, Ground Espresso, Hickory Smoke, Rusty Hinge, Wild Honey, Vintage Photo, Blue Print Sketch, Seedless Preserves, Carved Pumpkin.

Below the image I stamped the sentiment from Essentials by Ellen Cozy Christmas stamp set, also in brown ink. Then I tied a tiny bow from twine and added it to the card. 

I used the Weathered Wood marker and lots of water to color around the birds and the sentiment. This helped to ground the image and sentiment.

Happy Christmas Eve!! I'm sharing two cards today that I made a few weeks ago for a challenge, but got behind and didn;t get the photo edited in time! And since tomorrow is Christmas I need to share pronto!!!

I started by stamping 3 little moose from Poppy Stamps Moose Crossing, yes I said 3! I was first going to use all three on one card but later change my mind and instead just made two cards. The third is sitting on my desk still! Probably going to be hanging out until next Christmas.

I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color the moose (CG2, DG2, DG3, IG1, IG2, IG4). I stamped and paper pieced a shirt and tie.

Then I started mixing pattern papers. I decided to use a stitched rectangle die and cut one pattern for the background and another for the ground. For the ground, I cut a wave in each and discarded the top portions. I adhered the ground patterns on rectangle patterns.

Next, I stamped the sentiment after bending it slightly. I added the moose to each panel with foam tape and then added panels to white card bases. Then I added wood snowflakes!

Holiday Stencil & Embossing Paste

Hello!!

It's almost Christmas so I need to share the last of my Christmas cards! This first one I made a few months ago. My mom is into Genealogy and found some relations in Germany. They exchange Christmas cards and she was needing some ideas for this years Christmas card, this was one of the ideas I came up with!

Last Christmas I think it was I gave her a German Christmas stamp set from Create A Smile. I also got for myself a few other items including the Ornaments stencil. I am entering this into Create A Smile Challenge of the Month - Christmas/Winter.

I started with a white card base and placed the stencil over it. Then I added some black embossing, scraped off the excess and removed the stencil. I let it dry nice and good (probably overnight to be safe!).

Then I applied three colors of Distress Ink, each color highlighting an ornament. Next, I stamped the German Merry Christmas sentiment on a strip of card stock. I cut one end at an angle and added it to the card with foam tape. Last I found some blue, pink and yellow neon sequins that I added to each ornament.

Festive Fun with Spectrum Noir ColourBlend Pencils

Hello!

Today I'm sharing a card I made that features Spectrum Noir New ColourBlend Pencils! These are so nice!! They blend beautifully and are so creamy!!

I started by die cutting a circle from Crafter's Companion's Watercolor card stock. I stamped the image from The Makey Bakey Mice, Festive Fun & Frolics set. Then I used the ColourBlend pencils to color the image. Because I used watercolor card stock I got a nice texture look to the image! I used the following colors: Lemon Grass, Maize, Smoke, Pebble, Yellow Ochre, Spice Brown, Espresso, Bark, Pink Blush, Cranberry, Poppy, Carmine.

Next,  I trimmed a snowflake pattern paper from Sara Davies Signature Collection - Festive Wonder. With Antique Linen Distress Ink I inked around the end of the panel. I also lightly inked around the colored circle.

I added the colored circle to the panel with foam tape. From my stash, I found a rusty snowflake, removed the twine that came with it and added it to my card. Then I stamped the sentiment, trimming it to a square and rounding the edges. I added it to the card over the snowflake. Last I adhered the panel to a white card base.

Honey Bee Stamps is the sponsor today, I didn't have any of their stamps, so I just had to a little shopping!!! 

I started by stamping the bear and two snowmen, along with some hats, ear muffs, and scarfs. Then I used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color them all up. I used BG1, BG6, BG7, DR5, DR6, IG1, IG2, JG5, JG6, OR1, OR2. I fussy cut everything and then glued down the hats and scarfs to the bear and snowmen.

Next, I used a Simon Says Stamp Holiday Frames die and cut it from black cardstock. I adhere all three images together, making sure they would fit inside the frame. While my adhesive was drying I wrapped some black twine around the frame and tied it in a bow. 

I found some red and snowflake foiled pattern paper and added it to a white card base. I adhered the frame over the bear and snowmen so it looked like they were a part of the photo frame, then I added it to the card with foam tape.

2016 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - Card 2

Hello!

I'm sharing my second card for the 2016 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! I found this super cute image from Darcie's Heart & Home, Yeti to Party, at a scrapbook show this past summer that I knew was perfect for the Winter Coffee Hop!!

I started by stamping the bear on watercolor paper and then using my distress markers and water to color. I used Pumice Stone, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, Hickory Smoke, Black Soot, Spun Sugar, Carved Pumpkin and Candied Apple. Then I fussy cut the image and set it aside to dry.

With two circle dies I made a black circle frame and cut some plaid paper for the inside of the frame. From the same paper pad, I picked out the color snowflake pattern and added it to a white card base. Then I added the plaid frame with foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment on a light pink pattern from the same pad and then wrapped some twine around the tip of the strip. Next, I notched the end and added it to my card at the top left. Last I added the colored image!

2016 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

This is my second post today, click here if you are looking for my Art Impressions post.

Today, I'm stopping by with my first card for the 2016 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! Winter is my favorite season, not just for the snow but for the hot chocolate and hot cider!!

My card features a stamped and watercolor background, I did this first and was planning on doing something else but as it dried I found these cool foiled die cuts. I started with Honey Bee Stamps Flakey Friends and stamped the hats, scarfs and snowflakes in grey ink. Then I used my Kuretake Watercolors to color the hats and a light blue for the background.

While the background was drying I was looking through Becky Higgins Christmas Wishes Pocket Card Kit and found the hot cocoa, mug and snowflake die cuts.

I added the background to a white card base and then added the die cuts with foam tape. Last I added a few Neat & Tangled sequins.

I'm on the Art Impressions blog today!! Do you have your Christmas shopping done?? I'm done and glad!! More crafty time for me!! Hehehe!!  Well if you happen to find yourself at Michael's make sure you pick up Art Impressions & Hampton Art's Snowman set! The sentiment is for Christmas, but you can still use these images for a winter birthday!!

I made two cards with this set, each featuring the two different snowmen in the set! First, I stamped and then die cut them both. Since there is always a chance I could mess something up, I stamp and die cut first before coloring!! To color these cuties I used my Spectrum Noir Markers. I used: DR1, DR6, HB2, HB3, IB2, IB3, IG1, IG3, LG4, LG5, PL4, PL5, PP1.

For the background I used a roll of Post-It Note tape and with scissors cut a wave, discarding the top portion. I applied the tape to a white card base, about where I wanted the horizon. Above the tape I used Faded Jeans and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to make the sky. 

Next, I stamped and clear embossed the snowflakes. Removed the tape and then stamped the sentiment on each card. Last I just added the snowmen with foam tape!!

Art Impressions Challenge #198 - Shake a Little

It's the second week of Art Impressions Challenge #198 - Shake a Little! It's a great little break from Christmas cards and your chance to win some Art Impressions goodies! AI also has a new release to go along with the challenge!! 3 New Mini Shakers!!

My card features the Wheelie Mini Shaker, perfect for that cool guy in your life. I started by stamping the images and using my Spectrum Noir markers to color them. I used: BG6, BG7, CB3, CG2, DG2, EB5, EB6, FS2, FS6, FS9, IG2, LG4, LG5, OR2, OR3, TB4, TB8, TN6.

I used the die to cut the piece that will wobble and fussy cut the larger image out. I added the smaller piece with a small Action Wobbler.

Next I trimmed some pattern paper and added it to a white card base. On a strip of darker pattern paper I white embossed the sentiment and then added it to the card. From the same paper I die cut Zoom! twice, this die is included in this set. Last I added the image and wobble to the card!

Vintage Merry Christmas with Art Impressions

Hello!!

Now that Thanksgiving is over it's really time to start thinking about Christmas!! I'm on the Art Impressions blog today featuring the new Christmas Wreath Die and Stamp Set! The included die makes using this stamp a breeze!!

I started by stamping the wreath and bow on white card stock, then I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color them both. CG2, DG2, DG3, DR3, DR5. 

Next, I placed the outside and inside wreath dies over the image and used some washi tape to hold them in place. I did the same for the bow, running both through my die cutting machine.

From a pattern paper Christmas stack I picked out a vintage pattern and used some Distress Ink Old Paper to ink around the edges. I added the panel to a white card base and then added the wreath with foam tape.

I used Papertrey Ink Banner die with some Kraft card stock. White heat embossed the Merry Christmas sentiment and then added some of the Distress Ink to the banner. This made the Kraft card stock even darker! I added the banner and bow to the wreath and last a few sequins to the card.

Art Impressions Collage Card

Hello 

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!! I'm on the Art Impressions blog today with a card that is a little tongue in cheek, I paired the Gobble Set with some elements from Jillibean Soup Happy Camper Stew Collection. I think the Detour, Pit Stop, and The Fun Never Stops make for a cute and funny Thanksgiving card!! 

This card is my take on the collage style cards! I'm not really good at it (I'm a bit of a perfectionist!) but I tried really hard to just let it come together without a lot of changes!

I started by stamping the turkey behind (haha!!) on watercolor cardstock and then used my Distress Markers to color it. I used Vintage Photo, Rusty Hinge, Tea Dye, Gathered Twigs, Mustard Seed, Seedless Preserves, Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade. Then I fussy cut it out with sharp scissors.

Next, it was just a matter of adhering all the elements. I have the collection together, including some extra pieces I die cut but didn;t use. I used a notebook page and the turkey as the center and added the flowers, buttons, and sentiments.

The turkey behind was added with a wobble, making the card a little interactive. Last I stamped the Gobble 'Til You Wobble sentiment at the bottom.
