Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #151

Hello!

It's time for a new challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More! And its a favorite one!! Anything Goes!! I decided to play with some new to me Avery Elle stamps i got awhile back!!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Avery Elle
I'm using the the Avery Elle Super set and i wanted to make a more feminine card, so i found some stripe pattern paper with spring like colors. The same pattern paper pad had some pink polka dot vellum paper in it. I thought it was perfect for my feminine super card, it saved me from having to stamp the dot background in the stamp set.

I added the stripe pattern patter with vellum overlay to a white card base. Next i die cut the cityscape from grey card stock and then stamped the matching stamp in black. I used a versamark pen to add some shading to the cityscape.

Next i die cut the explosions from some other pattern papers from the pad. Then i stamped the explosion outlines and added Boom and Pow to each. I also cut the spotlight from pattern paper, stamped the outline and added the Happy Birthday sentiment. I add the cityscape, explosions and spotlight to my card with foam tape.

Hello!

Today is the day for the new The Alley Way Stamps July release stamps!! Make sure you stop by The Alley Way Stamps blog for more inspiration and your chance to win the three new stamps sets!

I'm featuring the new set Oh, Splat! This is such a fun set, lots of different splats and awesome sentiments to go with them!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I started my card by cutting some watercolor paper with a stitched rectangle. I used some Spectrum Aqua Floral markers to color the splat stamps directly, then spritz a little water and stamped them on the rectangle. With a watercolor brush spread the ink from the marker around a bit more. I found that coloring the markers on rubber is better then clear, but its not impossible with clear stamps!!

Next i stamped the Splat Happens sentiment in black ink. I also found some flat neon sequins that i thought went well with the bright colors i used. I added yellow sequins to the yellow splats, green sequins to the green splats and so on.

After i added the sequins i thinking it needed something else so i added some clear Stickles to the sequin centers. This added a little sparkle i think to the card! I added the panel to a black card base.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I started with the little game pieces that look very similar to the pieces in the game Sorry. I stamped several on some watercolor paper, then colored them with distress markers. Then i fussy cut them out.

My plan was to have a small pile of the them on my card, but after i placed them on my card i look how they looked spread out a little. So then i thought they really needed fill the whole card, so i stamped, colored and fussy out a bunch more!!!

When i was happy with the placement of the pieces i adhered them down to my white card base. Next i stamped the I'm Sorry sentiment on a double ended banner. When i placed the banner on my card it blended into the card too much, so i cut a strip of black card stock and adhered the banner to it. I added it to the card with foam dots.

Happy Birthday

Hello!

I'm stopping by today with a card i made a earlier this month for Hero Art's Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge. The challenge is to pick three in a row and incorporate all in a project. I went down the middle with a stencil, birthday and tag.

I started by cutting a stitched rectangle from watercolor paper. I placed the Hero Arts stencil, Petals Pair over my panel. I used three different blue distress inks and an ink applicator to color and blend the colors over the stencil.

Next i stamped the hot air balloon and clouds in brown ink on watercolor paper. (These stamps are from an older Hero Arts set) I colored them all with distress markers, then fussy cut them out.

Then i cut a tag from watercolor paper and stamped the Happy Birthday vertically on the tag in the same brown ink. I added some blue ribbon to the top of my tag that matched the blues i used on the background.

I added one cloud directly to the background, then added the tag and balloon with foam tape. Last i added the other cloud with foam tape.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I started with a black card base and stamped Line Upon Line with versamark ink. Then i heat embossed some cool metallic embossing powder! I just love the love of the metallic on black card stock.

Next, i found a small piece of extra watercolored paper that i made at some point. I just had enough to fit the cake from the Slurp set. I colored the cake part brown and left the cool watercolor for the icing. Then i stamped the little candle from the set and color it with some distress markers.

I cut an oval from black card stock and stamped then embossed the sweet wishes in white. Then i added the cake and candle with foam tape to my card base.
