Wishing You Happiness

Hiya!!

This is my second post today! If you are looking for my Art Impressions post, click here.

I have a sneak peek to share with you! Crafter's Companion has a new release of some yummy Christmas dies later this week! Today's peek features the new Die'sire Edge'ables Christmas Collection - Christmas Bow. For my card i actually didn;t make a Christmas card!! Some of these new dies can be used for almost any occasion!!

I started by die cutting a pink card base, placing the die about half way down the front of the card. I just trimmed down the crease and the top part comes off. Then i cut it again from some vellum card stock.

Then i adhered the vellum piece over the matching part of the cut card base. Next i added added some twine and tied it in a bow. To wrap the card with a crease to one side, i just cut a small slit in the crease and threaded the twine through it.

Last i stamped the Wishing You Happiness sentiment from the Kimono Lotus Flower stamp set. I stamped it with a grey pigment ink. Oh, i almost forgot i added a few pearls to the die cut flowers.

Congratulations on your Wedding Day

Hi,

I'm popping in to share a card and some exciting news!!! I'm happy to announce that i have joined the design team at Addicted to Stamps and More!!! I'm so excited and can't wait! They are currently on break, but will be back January 14th! (which will also be my first time joining the team!!) Whoo Hoo!!
Ok on to my card!! I made this for a PC&S call, but since that's not happening i'm sharing it today! My inspiration for this card came from some girls cloths i saw at work. They had an image and certain parts of the image had glitter.

I first started by inking up the flowers from Altenew's Painted Flowers. I chose to use three different colors, pink, purple and blue. Then i used three different shades for each color when i stamped each flower. I stamped the flowers randomly around a white card base.

Then i added a liquid glue to select areas of the flower, then covered them with fine glitter. I set it aside to allow the glue to dry.

Meanwhile i cut a few strips of black card stock, then on one of them stamped the Congratulations on Your Wedding Day sentiment and embossed it white. I added these strips across the top part of the card base with foam dots.

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope to see you at Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge!!

Wedding Day

Hiya!!

I'm popping in with a card i made several months ago i think! I remember when i was making this card i wanted to use some pattern paper and a new stamp set, Painted Flowers from the new stamp company Altenew.

It started with the pretty pink and grey flower pattern paper i found in my stash. I die cut a desktop file die from watercolor paper. I used grey ink to stamp just the outlined flowers. I also stamped the sentiment from Altenew's Ori Kami in grey ink.

Then i played with my ink pads to get a pink that would match the flowers on the pattern paper. I tried to be 'messy,' you know that not perfect look, which is really hard for me because i like smooth shading and coloring!! I also colored the leaves grey like the pattern paper flowers.

I added the pattern paper to my card base and then found 3 grey strips in my extra do-dad bowl that matched!! Score!! I added them to my card along the bottom, then added the stamped and colored file with foam dots. Last i added a few grey enamel dots!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Easy One Layer Card

Hiya!

So i didn't mean to disappear there again, i was sick last week and just got back into the craft room this past weekend. My mojo was a little hit and miss as i didn;t have a lot of energy.

This is a quick card i made, just because. It was made during 'i'm tired, have no energy, but really want to something instead of sitting in front of the tv' moment!!! LOL

I wanted to play with some new stamps and new ink. I stamped the heart wreath and sentiment. Then i added a little glitter to the flowers! See... super easy, perfect when you don;t have a lot of energy!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season!!! I be back in a couple days!! (probably playing with some new crafty goodies!!)   :)

Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy Wedding Day

Hiya!

Today i have a card Cheery Lynn Design's challenge this week. The theme is Wonderful Weddings. And the weekend before last i attended a cousins wedding, so when i made their card i tied it into Cheery Lynn's challenge.

I used the Button #2 set twice in my card can you tell where???

Well the obviously is the flower centers, i die cut white duck cloth with the button dies. The other place i used the button dies is in the background. I die cut several buttons and lined them up across my cardbase and then i used some ink spray's, after it dried i lined them up again below the first row and sprayed again.

The i used two ink spray's so the background came out a nice peachy color. So i used some matching pattern paper and cardstock to stamp and cut out some flowers. I also used some Tim Holtz Rock Candy on one of the flowers.

I layered the flowers and used metallic thread to attache each flower layer and button. Then i adhered the flower to my cardbase and last stamped my sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

CAS-ual Firday's Round and Round

Hiya!

I have a card for this week’s CAS-ual Friday's Challenge, Round and Round. You have to use 2 circles on your card, i used 2 ovals.... ovals are technically circles.. right?!?! hehe! Anyway when i saw the challenge i thought of the Happy Hydrangea set and knew it had an oval stamp and matching die and though i could come up with something!

cfc59

First i made my card base, then i tested my idea on scrap paper and when i had it down, i did it again on my cardbase. I die cut the oval from thin paper twice to use as masks. I stamped the front oval first then using a die cut oval masked it and stamped the flower image.

Next using masking i stamp the next oval, so it would be behind the first. Then using both die cuts i masked both ovals and stamped the individual flowers in the second oval.

Then i stamped the sentiment and last added a twine bow and tiny amounts of glitter glue to the hydrangea.

Hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend!! Happy 4th!!

CAS-ual Friday's Put A Bling On It

Hey there!!

I made today's card for a friend who saw a similar card i made months ago. This one just like it for a friends wedding with purple and flowers. The card also includes a little bit of bling so it fits great with this weeks CAS-ual Friday's Challenge: Bling!

I started with the sentiment, which is from Papertrey Ink free 4th Anniversary Tags. After printing out the sentiment i cut it out with a circle die and added little glitter dots around the sentiment.

Next i stamped the frame in black ink on the cardbase and again on scrap cardstock. With the scrap piece i cut out the inner frame and used it to mask the cardbase. I stamped a solid flower in purple ink multiple times inside the frame.

As the inked dried i found some purple ribbon that matched (the ribbon looks a little bit bluer in the pic then it really is!) I looped the ribbon on each side of the sentiment, adhered it to the cardbase and notched the edges. Last i added the sentiment circle with pop up dots.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Tropical Wedding

Hey there!

Long time no see!!  :) I'm moving in 3 weeks, so i've been spending a lot of time packing and organizing. I have also been making cards!! Lots of projects for friends and design team!! So to kick off what i have been making i have 2 wedding cards i made for friends at work.

One card was used for the wedding shower and the other for the whole office to sign and give to the bride to be. The theme for the wedding shower was pink, orange and tropical. So for one i went with a little more tropical, the other, same colors but a little bit more elegant.

The first one i used a flower stamp, that was the closet i had to a tropical flower. I found some cardstock in pink and orange, and stamped the flower and embossed it in white. I cut them out and added some embellishment to the centers. I also used markers to darken some of the flowers.

Next i made by cardbase, then inked up a background stamp in pink and orange. I stamped it off once on scrap paper then stamped it again on the card base. I added the sentiment Happily Ever After in a dark tan color.

Last i added the flowers, die cut leaves and twine to the card front.

For the second card i die cut fabric with PTIs card base-ics die and stamped the background with pink and orange ink. I did the same thing with mat stack 1, but i didn;t ink the background.

I used a heart die and cut out hearts from pink, orange and white cardstock. I pieced together the hearts to make it look like the hearts coming together at the white part. I adhered the heart to mat stack 1.

I adhered mat stack 1 to the card base-ic along with wrapping twine around the card base-ic. I stamped the sentiment along the bottom and then adhered the card base-ic the cardbase. Then last i rounded the corners.

Thanks for stopping by!
