You Fill Me With Happiness

Hello!!

Today I'm sharing a card I made for the CASology Challenge - Row. I needed a break from some design team stuff so I just googled card challenges and this was the first one that came up. At first I wasn't sure about it, but I was looking through some new stamps that needed some ink and I got an idea!

I started by die cutting the small jar from Stampin' Up's Jar of Love from some watercolor card stock. Then I used some navy ink to second generation stamp the jar on the die cuts. I pulled out a little watercolor set and used the blue to add water to the jars. When that was dry I went in and added a punch of green stems.

From the same set I die cut a bunch of the small flowers and then stamped them with varies colored inks. I also stamped up a bunch of leaves. Next I stamped the sentiment in brown ink on one of jars and on another stamped the string and bow.

Then I added the jars to a white card base and then added the flowers and leaves to each jar. Last I just rounded all the corners.

You & Me

Hiya!!!

Today i'm sharing a card i made for a few challenges! First Darnell's NBUS Challenge, Second CASology's NBUS Challenge and Third The Penny Black Saturday Challenge - NEW. and finally Craft Stamper Take It, Make It - Take A Stamp Challenge This card is all about the Never Before Used Schtuff!! This is the first time for the cute couple stamp, the sentiment stamp and the flower die!

I started by stamping the super cute Penny Black couple stamp with Memento ink. I colored them up with Copic markers. Next i cut the image out, leave a small white boarder. Two of the hearts were free standing (not part of the heart the couple is in), so i made sure to cut those out too.

Next i used Waffle Flower's Flower Circle Die and cut out the scallop flower from a dark red card stock. I first added it to a white card base with foam dots.

Then i added the couple with foam dots, along with the two free standing hearts above them. They all fit within the Flower Circle Die. Last i stamped the You & Me sentiment below the flower.

You're a Rare Breed

Hi!!

Today i'm sharing a card feature some of the new September stamps from The Alley Way Stamps!! I also used a stencil and some distress ink! I haven't used my distress inks on white card stock in a while and wow they are so bright against the white!!

Edited to Add: Carol pointed out that over at CAS-ology the cue word is Grass! And guess what? I have a Dino dancing on some grass!! :D

I started by placing my stencil over the card base. I used 3 colors to ink in the chevron pattern. I stamped, colored and cut out the cute dino from Livin' Fossils. I colored him and some grass with various distress markers.

Next i die cut a label shape and stamped a sentiment from the Rock Solid stamp set. Last i added the label, grass and dinosaur to my card base with foam dots.

I love how the background turned out against the dinosaur. Thanks for stopping by!!

Good Morning!!!

Today i have a card for CAS-ology Book Challenge, i'm just getting it in under the wire!! As soon as i saw the challenge i new i wanted to use this bookshelf background stamp! Does a busy background make a CAS card?  No white space, but a it is a simple card!!

I stamped the background stamp on my cardbase. Then i die cut the banner and stamped the sentiment in red ink.

Next i pressed wood hearts into red ink. I adhered the banner and hearts to the cardbase.

Good Morning!!

Today i have 2 cards to share, i'll be back later today with the second. I want to get them both in today since i plan on participating Papertrey Ink's Stamp-a-faire this weekend, so the blog will be hopping!!! 

With this card i some how managed to combine 3 challenges (don;t ask me how, it just all came together!!)

To start with i stamped and colored the teacher image from Paper Smooches and cut it out. I also stamped the notebook page (the paper for CAS-ology Challenge). I cut the page out also, and placed it in the teachers hand. 

To incorporate yellow twine, i added several eyelets and threaded yellow twine through them. At the very bottom i tied the twine in a small bow.

Last i stamped the sentiment Great Job

Today i'm using more new goodies, these came in the mail (not a scrapbook show). I am linking this card up to CAS-ology Dessert Challenge.

I actually had a different plan for this card, i wanted to use these inktense pencils i recently got, but after i masked and stamped the jars i thought about filling them with with these small metal and glitter accents i have, so i used the black and lots of water to get grey and shaded the jars.

 After the shading i added the accents, some on top of others, so it gave some nice dimension.

Next i masked and stamp just the word scrumptious from multi-worded sentiment. Then i added two sticker letters so my sentiment would read UR scrumptious.

S'more Birthday Wishes

Hello!! Happy Sunday!

I hope everyone is enjoying there weekend!! I have a card to share today with a camping theme to it!! I am linking this up to CAS-ology Challenge: Camp and to Newton's Nook Designs First Sketch Challenge and last to Moxie Fab's Birthday Card Challenge, because well why not??? Its a birthday card!! LOL

The challenge for me was to make a CAS card from the sketch and luckily Newton's Nook has a camp themed stamp set that i happen to have!

Instead of using pattern paper for the rectangle behind the circle and banner in the sketch, i stamped the tiny little lightening bug, in white ink, filling in the same rectangle shape. I did stamp off the bug first as i didn;t want it to be glaring white!!

Next i punched a circle and stamped the fire and two marshmallows. I colored them in with some water and distress inks.

Last i had a banner that laying on my desk that i had die cut at some point and it was a perfect fit for the birthday sentiment. I adhered the banner and circle with foam tape to my cardbase.

Talking about camping i hope you stop by tomorrow, i am a guest designer, and the kit just happens to have a camping/travel theme!! I'll have all the details, plus a bonus card on my blog tomorrow!!

For the Love of Bikes

Hello!

Today i have a card for another new to me challenge, CAS-ology, i've seen a few people participate and its been on my to do list! The challenge this week is Neon.

So first, i have a love/hate relationship with this card. Its a little bit out of my comfort zone, but on the other hand i kind of like it in a weird way!

First i stamped the bike image on a piece of canvas with adhesive on the back. I really like how the ink bleeds into the fabric. Next i stamped the sentiment with neon green and i really like how yellow ink bleeds into the canvas and separates from the green.

Then to make it a little less 'perfect,' when i placed it on my cardbase and purposely folded under a corner and made some creases. Then i added a few metal dots.

Then i thought it still need a little something, so i 'doodled' (and i'm no doodler!) on the canvas with a black pen and surprisingly liked it and on the other hand it's, at least to me, kind of weird looking.

Let me know what you think! Love it or hate it?? and be truthful, trust me i can take it!! LOL!! :)
