Hello!!
Today i'm excited to be joining The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers as a Guest Designer! Whoo Hoo!! The challenge is L is for Leprechaun!! How fun is this!!
So i don;t have any St. Patrick Day stamps (probably not even a clover), so i went to google. At first my plan was to find a digi stamp i liked and use that for my card. However on my sure i found a super funny cartoon by Robin Crossman. He dose some super funny cartoons called Ned & Larry, i couldn;t find a direct link to the cartoon (what i found had a bunch of pop ups, yuck!), but you can find some of other Ned & Larry cartoons here. I'm sure you could see the actual cartoon if you google Robin Crossman and St. Patrick Day!
I started my card by die cutting the fish bowl out of water color paper. I also cut two of the fish from Simon Says Stamps Best Fishes stamp set, stamped the matching images and colored them with Papertrey Ink dye inks.
At this point i new i was going to try a shaker card (i'm really bad at shaker cards!!). So i cut a panel of water color paper and with a pencil lightly traced the fish bowl. I also lightly sketched rainbow lines, i wanted the rainbow to look like it ended in the fish bowl, similar to the cartoon. I used PTI inks and a little water to color the rainbow. I also added a little blue color to were the fish bowl would be.
I added the two fish to the panel with foam dots, then piled some black and silver sequins in between them. To my cut fish bowl i adhered some clear acetate, then added foam tape all around the bowl before adding it to my card base.
Last i needed a sentiment, i came up with Where's the Gold?!?, you know because its the end of the rainbow, i sure would want gold!! I used a stamp set and matching die from Lawn Fawn for the work bubble, then hand wrote the sentiment!
I hope you will stop by The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers to see Design Team's projects and hopefully play along with us!!
Have a great day!!

Sorry That Stinks!
Hello!
Today i have a card i made for The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers G is for Grey Challenge. I was visiting One Crafty Mama, aka Jessi and i saw Jessi's card, saw the challenge and went straight to my craft table! Grey is perfect for the cute little skunk in The Alley Way Stamps new stamp set Stumped. And of course the set wouldn;t be complete with a little snarky sentiment!!!
I started by pulling out a few different shades of grey card stock. I trimmed the paper (they were 12 x 12 sheets) down to two inches wide. I laid the strips on a white card base and after playing around with them i decided to have each color get smaller as i went up the card base.
Next i cut a circle from white card stock, i stamped the skunk with black memento. Then i colored him with a black inktense pencil and a copic colorless blender. I stamped that stinks above him, along with a ! from the stamp set Prehistoric.
I found a wood speech bubble and stamped Sorry, masking off the ! at the end of the sentiment. Then i found a heart wood piece and added some black glitter to it. While that was drying i saw that i had a smudge on the card stock, so i found some small grey and black dots. I added everything to the card base and way-la, a card with a few shades of grey at least!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Love You To Pieces
Hiya!!
Today i'm sharing a card i made for a brand spanking new challenge: Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers! My friend Jessi is on the design team and makes the best snarky cards ever!! The first challenge is A is for Anti-Valentines!
So i made a card that i think would qualify at least for a non traditional valentine's! It all started with the Love You To Pieces from The Alley Way Stamps In Stitches stamp set. It got me thinking about about pieces of cupcakes or chocolate, so i went searching through my TAWS stamps for a cupcake!!
First i stamped and masked it on some watercolor paper and cut it out. I used a small (3/4 i think) circle punch to take the "bites" out of the cupcake. I like how it looked so then i colored the cupcake with distress markers.
When i was placing the cupcake on my card base and contemplating the layout i thought my card base was to plain. So i found a big die cut heart and used some Fine Linen distress ink to ink around the heart. When i went to take a picture of it later, i realized its really, really light, but by then the sentiment was stamped and the cupcake adhered, so watch-a-gonna do?!?! :D
Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope you'll take some time and play along over at Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge!
