Be Inspired Challenge #60- Take Two

Hello!

Today i'm sharing a card for The Alley Way Stamps Be Inspired Challenge #60. This is the LAST Be Inspired Challenge, instead of the challenge you can enter ANY new card in a special linkup on The Alley Way Stamps Blog for a chance to win a prize. This will start in January on the blog, look for this logo for the linkup:

Now on to my card (by the way you still have plenty of time to play along with this last challenge for your chance to win some stamps). This is the photo inspiration:

I got my inspiration from the Christmas tree and the colorful ornaments and packages. I imaged how it would be with some of those packages open. I started by stamping the chick from Chick Magnet. I stamped it again on a post it note, cut it out and placed it over the little chick. I did this again and again for each of the toys and presents. (i used a bunch of stamp sets to get all my toys and presents, the list is below!!)

Once i was done stamping and masking, i pulled out my distress markers and i colored it all up! Next i cut out along the top part of my images. Then i stamped the sentiment from Tickle Me Happy in the lower right corner. I was thinking this would be great for a kid to give to a grandparent as a Christmas thank you!

I found a neutral pattern paper and added it to a card base. Then i added the cut out image with foam dots along to the bottom of the card base, remember i just cut out the top part of the images.

Last stamped the little Santa hat from Bee Happy, i colored it up then cut it out. I added a little bit of Stickles to the white parts. Then i just added the hat to the little chick!

Thank You Enough

Hiya!!

I'm popping in super fast!!! This week and next i'm all about finals and i thought i had everything ready, but realized yesterday i didn;t have a card for The Alley Way Stamps Be Inspired  Challenge! So a sentiment and dies and wa-la a card!!

Its super easy, i had an idea of what i wanted to do, but first i had to make i had a sentiment that would go with it! I pulled out the new More Than Words TAWS stamp set and decided to go with 'I Can't Thank You Enough'
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
Next i pulled out a watercolor panel and 2 pink watercolor crayons. I just scribbled randomly on my panel and then added some water to color the panel. I set that aside and then die cut some snowflakes from white card stock.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
Then i added some gold glitter washi tape to a strip of card stock and cut it in half. I decided to add the sentiment at the bottom left, splitting the sentiment up into three lines. I added the strip of washi tape in between the sentiment.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Last i adhered the snowflakes directly to the panel and added some gold and white sequins. Then i just added the panel to a white card base! Super easy when you are in a time crunch!!

Be Inspired Challenge #59

Hi!!

I'm popping in real quick to share a card for The Alley Way Stamps Be Inspired Challenge #59. Its a new challenge with a nice fall theme. For my card i went with the fall colors and used a TAWS set that was on the top of my stamp pile!

I am entering this into Inkspirational Shine Challenge, and yes their is shine on my card (i used perfect pearls). I thought i had taken pictures that would show the shine, but apparently i only thought i did, so later today i'm going to take a picture of the shine and update this post, so check back for my shine proof!!! hehehe!!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
It started with the Tri- Me stamp set and i stamped the triangles all over a white card base with orange, yellow and brown inks. Next i used two different color perfect pearls powders to color the triangles (i used pigment ink so the powders sticks to the ink nicely).

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
Next i die cut a triangle and used yellow pigment ink to color it. Then i stamped the Just For You in brown ink. With all the triangles shiny i wanted to tone it down a little so i wrapped the card with twine. I also found some wood veneer triangle and added them to the card base. I added the die cut triangle with foam dots and wa-la!

Edited to add this photo! It was hard to get the shine, you can see the copper like shine to the triangles, tilt the card another way and other triangles would shine.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Be Inspired Challenge #58 - Take 2

Hello!!

Today i have my second take for The Alley Way Stamps Be Inspired Challenge!! The inspiration is Halloween, but you don;t have to make a Halloween card (since Halloween was yesterday!!). I didn;t make a Halloween card, or at least i don't think i did. If it has bats, does that make it Halloween??

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Anyway i used the left overs from my last Be Inspired card. I was playing with them and i liked how it looked when i layed the orange layer over the black layer and shifted the orange a little. I backed the two chevrons over a panel of blue card stock.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I glued all the layers together and trimmed off the excess. Next i stamped three bats from the Bumps in the Night set, cut them out and then colored them with a black distress marker. Next i cut out a circle from water colored paper and stamped the sentiment.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I added the bats and circle to the card base with foam tape. Then i adhered the panel to a white card base.

Thanks for stopping by!!! I hope you will play along with us a the Be Inspired Challenge, you still have plenty of time to submit a card!!

Be Inspired Challenge #58

Hi!!

Time for a new challenge at The Alley Way Stamps Be Inspired Challenge!! We have a fun Halloween inspiration to get you in the Halloween mood!! Don't forget you have like 3 weeks left o play along and you have a chance to win a stamp set and be a guest designer!! Here is the photo inspiration!!

I really loved the blue pick-up truck with the orange pumpkins in the back bed, so i decided to use those as my main colors. I found a chevron die that i haven;t used yet. So cut it from black, blue and orange card stocks. I also cut the chevron pattern from a piece of white cardstock. I pushed out all the the positive pieces from the white panel and i adhered it to a white card base.

Next i placed the positive pieces from the blue, black and orange cuts into the negative on my card base. I played around with the placement, but once i liked it i glued them into place.

I really wanted to use this Zombie sentiment from the Bumps in the Night stamp set, in fact i tried using it last week but it wasn;t working for the card i was making. I already had a couple of the brains cut (i used the stamps matching SVG file) and stamped, so i was determined to use the brains and sentiment with this card!! I finished stamping the brains and then used a couple distress markers to color them.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I cut a stitched rectangle from white card stock and stamped the sentiment off to the side in black ink. Next i added the brains to the other side of the sentiment. I added the stitched panel to my card base with foam tape. I thought it still needed something so i added a few black sequins!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I can't wait to see your take on the Halloween inspiration!!

Be Inspired Challenge #57 - Take 2

Hi!!

I'm here with another card for The Alley Way Stamps Be Inspired Challenge #57. You still have plenty of time to play along!!! Here is the photo inspiration:

I liked the grey baby onsie with the white car so i used that part of the photo for my inspiration.  I started with a piece of grey card stock and drew a line with a pencil then stamped the little truck from the Mrs. Rogers Neighborhood with versamark ink. I did another line above (using the lines on my mat so my lines were straight and had the same width between them). I stamped the car from Got It Covered in versamark ink, then did another line, stamped another row.... you get the idea!! When the stamping was done i embossed it all with white embossing powder. I next went in with a fine tip black marker and made a road for my trucks and cars!!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Next i use Out of This World stamp set for my sentiment. I picked the birthday stamp, inking one part with green ink then stamped it. Cleaned the stamp and then inked the other part with brown ink. I cut out each part.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

When i placed the sentiment pieces on my card base i thought it still needed something so i cut a strip of the grey paper, tore it in half and placed it underneath the sentiments. I liked it so i adhered the sentiments to each strip, then added them to my card base with foam tape. To finish it off i added three wood arrows!

Be Inspired Challenge #57 - Take 1

Hello!!

Today i have a card for The Alley Way Stamps Be Inspired Challenge. Instead of one photo for inspiration we have 4 different photos from which you can glean some inspiration from!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I got my inspiration from the paint can lids! I went through my ink collection and picked out a few colors that matched the photos colors. I pressed, swiped and dabbed the ink onto various scrap white card stock. (i used both dye and pigment inks)

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Then i pulled out 2 different sized circle punches and punched a few circles from each color. Next it was all about playing!! I moved the circles around this way and that way until i decided that stamping a sentiment in the center and placing the circles around the sentiment was the way to go.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I decided to use some pattern paper and i found some wide grey stripe pattern paper. I first placed the circles around the center then i added them to by card base with foam dots. I trimmed any that went past the edge.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
Next i stamped the sentiment Always Here for You from the Speak Easy stamp set. I thought it still needed something so i added some black, gray and clear rhinestones.

I hope you will play along with us at the Be Inspired Challenge! I can't wait to see what you make!!

Enjoy Life

Hi there!!

Hows everyone doin'??? Well i've been busy as i'm sure everyone is!! This was the first full week of classes and its off with lots to do!! And of course dumb me thought i was all good and ready for today's Be Inspired Challenge post, BUT i wasn't!! I found out Wednesday night when i went to up load my card and write my post, that instead i had a card for the NEXT challenge!! Duh!! So off to the craft table i went (after homework was done, of course!) and i made a quick card! My photo's are a little wonky too because i was trying to be all fast and i took my pictures in the early morning light (not good light to use!!)

But anyway here is my card for The Alley Way Stamps Be Inspired Challenge. You have about about a week or so to play for your chance at a stamp set and be a guest designer!! Here is the photo inspiration:

This time around i took inspiration from the triangle of the tent along with the quilt like qualities of the tents fabric. So to make this card quick and easy i pulled out the TAWS set Tri-Me and stamped a few of the triangles on some different pattern paper. After a little testing i ended up using the grey in as i like how the pattern paper came through the ink just a little.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I cut out all the triangles and arranged them on my white card base a few times until i was happy with the placement. Quick application of double sided tape adhered them to my card base.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

To keep things easy i used a kraft banner that was already cut and stamped the sentiment Enjoy Life from the Tri-Me set. I also found a wood button and tied a twine bow. I added the banner with foam dots and then glued on the button.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

See super quick and easy and not that bad of a card either!! LOL I hope you play along with us at The Alley Way Stamps Be Inspired Challenge!

Have a wonderful day!!
