Coffee Loving Cardmakers Fall/Winter Blog Hop - Card 5

 Hello!

Only a few more days left of the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Fall/Winter Blog Hop! Make sure to get your project linked up by Friday for your chance at some wonderful prizes from our sponsors!!

Todays card features Newton's Nook and embellishments from Twiddlers Nook!  I've been eying this Newton's Nook Lovable Llamas for awhile and while think about my next card to make, I though I could have the llama's carrying coffee ups on their backs. That is if it works out how I think it!!

I used a couple cups from Newton Loves Coffee stamp set, stamped them, the llamas and a couple blankets. I colored everything up with Copic markers and added a little gold with Wow Embossing Powder.

Then I fussy cut everything out and arranged the blankets and cups on the llama's. I liked how it turned out! So I moved on to make a shaker card.

To make my shaker I picked out some purple polka dot pattern paper and used a rounded rectangle to cut a window. I covered the window with acetate and then added foam tape around the window's edge. Then I added my fun embellishments!! These came from a new to me shop and fellow Coffee Loving Cardmaker Design Team Member, Amanda Wilcox! Her etsy shop is called Twiddlers Nook! Her shop features fun embellishments and craft tools (more on that in a minute!).

So I used the Burning Embers embellishments and added a pile to the center of my acetate window, then adhered the card base to the foam tape. And wa-la a shaker card!! I added the llamas and the sentiment to the card last!

You might have noticed in my pictures two orange objects, one with some embellishments another with a die and a rabbit paper clip. These are just some of the caft tools from Twiddlers Nook that I mentioned above!

New just in time for the hop is a Magnetic Die Cut Stand! Mine is a coffee cup and in orange!! (orange is my favorite color, and I LOOOOVE the color, its a perfect orange!!!) Amanda has several more colors to pick from, purple, blue, black just to name a few. Plus, there are other shaped stands to choose from!!
The stand is magnetic so you can place the small dies that you use most often or are working with at that moment! Plus the stand sits in a small little tray and you can use that too!!

Another crafty tool Amanda has are little trays in a few different shapes. Mine is a Donut Tray how fun is that!?!?!! Goes great with coffee!! hehe!! Works great with embellishments or those tiny bits!!

Last here is a picture of them both on my desk. I cleaned off my desk before starting my Coffee crafting and of course it got a little messy, though not as bad as it was!! When I'm not using the tray to corral embellishments, it's holding my embellishments that are waiting to be put away!!

The Magnetic stand is holding an die that has to home yet, the stray bunny paper click and I use the stand it sits in to hold the only clear block I use any more! (I use the MISTI for 99% of my stamping!)

Wow, a long post I know, but so worth it!! Make sure to get your project linked up before Friday for your chance to win a gift card to Twiddlers Nook!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Shaker Card with Crafter's Companion

Hello!!

I hope everyone is having a great day!! Today I'm sharing an easy shaker card with you! And I made it masculine, which is really easy to do with a basic birthday stamp and die set!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Crafter's Companion - Spectrum Noir

I started with Crafter's Companion Hip Hip Hooray Shaker Card Stamp and Die Set! I made the shaker using the balloon die and cutting some CC Bright Textured Cardstock. I also cut the hooray from the pad using the orange.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Crafter's Companion - Spectrum Noir

Next, I used a circle stencil and Spectrum Noir Inkpads to ink the circles in. I used Midnight, Holly Leaf and Orange. Then I used a stitched rectangle die to cut a panel. I added the panel to a blue card base.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Crafter's Companion - Spectrum Noir

To create the shaker I adhered clear acetate to the back of the balloon, then added foam tape. I added some matching sequins and then adhered the balloon to the panel over the sequins with the foam tape.

I stamped and cut out the Hip Hip and adhered them and the Hooray to the balloon. I found some twine that happened to match and tied that around the bottom of the balloon.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Trinity Stamps

I added foam tape around the cup and then added some of Trinity Stamps sequins and confetti included a few Coffee Bean Hearts as the bubble's in my coffee cup! Then I added the panel over the sequins adhering it to a white card base.

Last I stamped the thankful for you sentiment and added the girl and flower with foam tape!

The DT's are playing with some fabulous coffee goodies!! I had so much fun I made two cards! For the first one, I started with the Coffee Helps stamp set. I used my MISTI and Distress Marker Gathered Twigs to do some watercolor stamping. From the set, I used one of the cups, coffee ring, and coffee beans.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Fun Stampers Journey

Then I stamped the Cup of Happiness sentiment next to the cup. I scribbled some of the Gathered Twigs on a palette and use water and brush to create some ground for the cup to sit on.

When it was dried, I used a stitched rectangle to cut the panel. Then I added some polka dotted pattern paper to a white card base and added the stamped panel on top. Last I added 3 FSJ Fashion Silver embellishments below the sentiment.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Fun Stampers Journey

For my second I decided to do a fun shaker card! I started by using a circle die to cut two sheets of orange fun foam, a circle of pattern paper and a circle from acetate. Then I used the Coffee First Die Set to cut out a cup of the center of the fun foam and pattern paper.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Fun Stampers Journey

I added a solid aqua paper to a white card base. Then I adhered the two layers of fun foam together and then adhered those to the card base. Next, I added some sequins to the cutout cup and covered it with the acetate circle. I let it all dry overnight to make sure all the layers were okay.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Fun Stampers Journey

Once I was sure that everything would stay in place, I added the pattern paper circle on top. Then I cut the cup top from the white wood pattern paper. From the same pad, I also cut the straw. I added the straw on top of the acetate and then the cup topper. Last I added the Cup of Happiness sentiment, that I know released that I used them on both cards!

Balloon Shaker Card

Hello!!

Today, I have an interactive shaker birthday card that's geared toward a little boy! I didn;t use actual balloon dies, but regular circle dies to create my balloons. And what little boy isn;t going to get a kick out of shaking this card?!?! :) I am entering this in Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Crafter's Companion
I started by using a square die and cutting some boyish pattern paper with it. Then with Crafter's Companion Die'sire Essentials Circles I first cut a big circle, then a little one. With the same dies, I cut circles from an orange and yellow pattern paper and set those aside for later.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Crafter's Companion
I placed my square with the circle holes on a 4.75 x 4.75 inch card base. With a pencil, I lightly traced around the two circles. Then I adhered the orange and yellow circles within those lines. Then I added foam tape around the two circles making sure there were no gaps. I also added some foam tape throughout the rest of the card base.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Crafter's Companion

From my stash of sequins, I added some matching sequins and stars to the center of the circles. I added a piece of clear acetate to my square top piece with the two circles cut out. For a sentiment, I stamped Happy Birthday on a piece of card stock and ripped one end. I used a stapler to attached the sentiment.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Crafter's Companion
After removing the release paper from the foam tape I carefully lined up the circle cut out with the orange and yellow circles and pressed it all down firmly.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Crafter's Companion

To finish my balloons I hand cut some blunt triangles and adhered them below the circles. I also adhered some twine from the balloons to the side of the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope you have a great day!!

Rock N Roll Birthday

Hello

I'm on the Art Impressions blog today with a card featuring the new Mini Shakers! There are holiday shakers, along with non-holiday Birthday shakers!! My card today features the Rock & Roll Mini Shaker.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions
I started by die cutting a stitched rectangle and then stamped the skating lady. I used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color her skin, hair, and skates, I used: BG2, BG4, EB3, EB5, FS4, FS6, FS9, OR1.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

Then I stamped the big image and the smaller image that will be the shaker on a few different pattern papers. I fussy cut them out and added them to the images.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

With a brown marker, I gave her some ground to skate on and then stamped the Rock & Roll sentiment in the top left corner and the It's Your Birthday in the bottom left the corner. I added some pattern paper to a white card base and then added the stamped panel.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions

Then I used a mini action wobble on the smaller image and added that to the card. Last I found some yellow and black enamel dots to the card.

Poppy Stamps Shaker Card

Hello!

This is my second card today! You can find my Crafter's Companion card here.

Today is the last day to enter Poppy Stamps Shake It Up Challenge and I am just making it in before it closes!! I made this last week and thought oh I have all the time in the world before the end of the month.... well it is now the end of the month!! LOL!!

I am also entering this in Darnell's NBUS (Never Been Used) Challenge #7! I got this Poppy Stamp set Ewe Are The Best many, many months ago and when I saw the shaker challenge earlier this month I decided it was time to use it!!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Poppy Stamps
To start I picked out some pattern paper and I used a Simon Say Stays Frames Die to cut some green and purple pattern paper. From the green paper, I cut out the lamb body twice. To make sure I had the placement right I first added the green panel to the center of a white card base and used washi tape to hold the dies in the right spot. After die cutting the bodies I stamped the Ewe Are The Best on the green panel.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Poppy Stamps

I also die cut the heads and legs from Kraft card stock and then stamped the matching heads. I also stamped the heads on white card stock, fussy cut out the hair and adhered them to the Kraft heads.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Poppy Stamps

To assemble the shaker I adhered some acetate to the back of the green panel and then added foam tape around each of the bodies. Then I added a few sequins to the card and with some more foam tape around the rest of the panel I added it to the card base.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Poppy Stamps
I added the purple border around the green panel directly to the card base and then last I die cut a tiny heart and added it above one of the lambs.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Winter Wonderland

Hello!

This is my second post today, click here if you are looking for my The Alley Way Stamps post.

Today Crafter's Companion has a new release that includes lots of goodies!! Stamps, embossing folders, and a CD collection. Check out all the new items at Crafter's Companion online store!

My card today features stamps from the Cool Christmas stamp set and to do something a little different i made a shaker card!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Crafter's Companion

I started by stamping the snowman on what card stock and coloring him with Spectrum Noir markers. Next i found some snowflake pattern paper and with CC's Die'sire Essential Circle dies cut out a large circle from the middle of the pattern paper.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Crafter's Companion

The circle is the snow globe and to make the base i hand cut a piece of black card stock. I adhered it below the cut circle, then placed the circle back it so i could cut it again, this time cutting the black base piece.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Crafter's Companion

Next i added some CC's Acetate to the back of the pattern paper, then added foam tape all the way around the circle and the rest of the card.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Crafter's Companion
I placed some sequins and glitter on my snowman and then adhered the pattern paper piece with the foam tape on top. Shook it around and the sequins and glitter moved around nicely and nothing came out!! I added this to a white card base.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Crafter's Companion
Last i stamped the Winter Wonderland sentiment, notched one end and it to my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!
