The Alley Way Stamps September Blog Hop!

Hi!!

Its time for The Alley Way Stamps September Blog Hop!! That means its release time and we some fun stamps!!! Three new sets plus a mini set free with a $40 purchase. There is also a chance to win all three new sets!!! (details below)

But first i made not one but two projects to share today!! My first project is a Kraft pillow box that can be filled with candy or gift card. I used my Silhouette to cut the pillow box from Kraft cardstock. I also die cut a tiny little tag and stamped the You're Dino-Mite on the tag. I wrapped the box with orange and white backers twine, threading the tag on it. I tied a bow at one end of the pillow box.

Next i stamped a cute little dinosaur from the new Livin' Fossils set on some watercolor paper. I colored him with distress markers and then cut him. I adhered the dino to the pillow box with foam dots. I also used foam dots to the back of the tag, so it would stay in place and not flap around.

I also made a card to go with the pillow box! I started with a Kraft cardstock panel and a stripe stencil. I added white pigment in with an ink applicator. After i cleaned the stencil, i placed it back over the panel but i moved it over a bit. I added more ink this time a dark orange.

Next i die cut a tag from Kraft and stamped my sentiment, the Happy Birthday from Rock Solid and To A Living Fossil from the Livin' Fossils set. I added a little orange twine to the tag.

I stamped a Dino from the Livin' Fossils and colored him with Distress Markers. I also stamped and colored some grass and a rock. I cut them all out and added them to my card base with foam dots. I also added the tag with foam dots and trimmed off the extra that over hang.

The Alley Way Stamps - Sneak Peek #2

Hi!!

Today i have a Sneak Peek of the upcoming The Alley Way Stamps September Release!! This is an awesome release, you are going to want all these stamps they go together so well!! In fact my Sneak today is for the new set Prehistoric (a sentiment set) but i also used a stamp from Livin' Fossils!

There are many, many sentiments in the new Prehistoric set and there are many occasions to in which to use the sentiments. I thought one such sentiment would be great for a little Valentine bag meant for a little boy.
The Alley Way Stamps - Kraft Paper Stamps
I started by cutting a little bag with my Silhouette. After i assembled the bag i ended up trimming off the flap from the bag. Next i die cut a red heart and adhered it to the bag.

Then i stamped the cute Dinosaur from the new Livin' Fossils set. I stamped the dino on watercolor paper and colored him with distress markers, then cut him out.

Shazam!

Hi!!

I'm a little behind in checking out every ones blog, but i'll catch up soon! Classes started yesterday (booo!) so summer is over! Today i'm sharing a TAWS card feature new stamps from the August release, the Ta-da set! I played a little with some dies and pattern paper!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I first die cut a label shape from water color paper. I stamped the magician and colored him with distress markers. I colored his cape with a black glitter pen that i have. For the sentiment i stamped Shazam in a light blue and added glitter to the sentiment.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

While the glitter was drying i cut out a few stars from my pattern paper panel. I adhered the panel to a piece of black card stock, trimming off the excess so the black showed through the die cut stars.

I placed a few of the die cut stars on my stamped label, then added it to the card base with foam dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Hi, Friend

Hi there!!

Another card from my card pile!! This one i made only a few days before my mini break (mini because i'm still creating for my DT's) I had purchased a bunch of Simon Says Stamp goodies with my Birthday money and when i got them i made this card.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Simon Says Stamp

Looking at the goodies i received i decided to play with the new You Are Pawesome stamp set. I also got the matching die and die cut the little dog. I stamped the dog, then colored him with Inktense pencils and a colorless Copic blender.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Simon Says Stamp

I also die cut the new Frames die, colored the thin frame with a blue Inktense pencil and Copic blender. Next i placed the Falling Snow stencil over a white card base. And used the same pencil and blender as the frame to color the dots in the stencil.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Simon Says Stamp

Then i started playing with the layout of the frame and dog, until it was in its current potion. I adhered the frame, then added the dog with foam dots. Last i stamped the sentiment Hi, Friend inside the frame.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

First i trimmed some pattern paper to fit my card base, then die cut the bottom with Custom Panels by Avery Elle (the wavy piece). I did it again with some other pattern paper and a strip of wood tape, i fit the pieces together and trimmed off the rest.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

Next i die cut a tag and stamped the elephant with Memento ink. To color the elephant i used a black Inktense pencil and a Copic Colorless Blender (this will stain your copic tip).

Then i die cut some alpha dies out of the wood tape to spell baby. I peeled the backing off the alpha's and added them to the tag. Last i added a little bit of twine to the top of the tag and then added it to the card base with foam dots.

Be Inspired Challenge #56 Take 1

Hi there!!

This is my first post of two today, if you are looking for my Pretty Pink Posh Hop post, click here.

There is a new challenge at the Be Inspired Challenge #56 and i have to say this photo is a challenge!! Here is the photo inspiration:

As i was thinking about this picture i kept coming back to the light that is shining down. And i kind of got an idea... and i have to say it turned out just liked pictured it in my head.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I started with a panel of watercolor paper. I used a face from the stamp set Face It, i masked of the mouth and eye brows. I stamped the eyes and part of the light bulb from Lighter Than Air in versamark ink, then embossed it in white. I also made a mask for the eyes and used it to cover them.

Next i used Black Soot Distress ink and a blending tool to apply ink to most of my panel. Then i added yellow ink around the light bulb, i added a little bit of orange around the bulb. Then i lightly blended the yellow in with the black.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

For the sentiment i used Alphabet Soup to stamp and emboss in white the sentiment Any One There? Then i used black soot to color the strip. To clean the embossed letters i used a paint brush and a tiny bit of water. I added this to my card base with foam dots. Last i used a black marker to color the eyes pupils black.

I hope to see your take on the photo inspiration, you have plenty of time to play along with us at the Be Inspired Challenge!!

A Little Bird Told Me

Hi there!!

Today i have a funny card for you!! I just love this image and sentiment! Every time i see it, it makes me laugh!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Penny Black

I stamped the kitty image on a white card base. I used Memento ink because i used Inktense pencils and a colorless Copic blender to color the kitty, ladder, ground and bird feathers.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Penny Black

I wanted to keep the card easy, so i didn;t add any embellishment or glitter. I stamped the sentiment on a piece of blue scrap paper, trimmed it with an angle on one end. I used a staple to attache the sentiment.

Have a great day!!

Happy Halloween

Hey there!!

I'm sharing a The Alley Way Stamps card from my card pile today!! Fall will be here before you know it and with the August release the free with $40 stamp set has a Happy Halloween sentiment which is perfect to pair with the TAWS set Bumps In The Night!!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I started with some black card stock and my Picket Fence Distress Stain. I just dabbed the stain on the card stock to make my own polka-dot paper. I set that aside to dry and then did a little stamping! I stamped the cute bat from Bumps In The Night on watercolor paper and colored him with distress markers. I also added a little Wink of Stella to his wings (not that you can tell in the photo, but i did, i swear!!) I also stamped the Halloween sentiment from Now You See Me on a piece of white card stock.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Once my background was dry i added a strip of orange washi tape. Then i added some pattern chipboard, from deep, deep in my rarely seen sticker/chipboard embellishments drawer! I also added the cute little bat to a chip board tag.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I added the sentiment strip over the washi tape and chipboard. Last i added the chipboard tag!

Happy Everything

Hi!

Yep another card from my pile!! I've been good, other then DT work i haven't made any other cards!! Its been a nice break, but the stamps are calling (especially the new ones, and i did a little organizing and 'found' lots of sets i want to play with!). But i am sticking to my guns and will not make any more until the card pile on my desk is gone, so to hurry it up i'm really working on getting these cards up on the blog, i still have quite a few to go, too!)

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Penny Black

Ok, enough blabbing! This card started with a Penny Black die, Field of Dreams. I cut the poppy flowers from watercolor paper, then i used some distress ink, a paint brush and water to color the flowers.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Penny Black

As the flowers dried i used a Tim Holtz stencil and green distress ink to add a little texture the white card base. Next i stamped the sentiment in brown ink.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Penny Black

I added the flowers to the card base with foam dots. I thought it still needed a little something, so i got out my wood tape and tried to cut it with a punch. It wasn't easy to do, but finally got it to cut, then added the butterflies to the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Chase Your Dreams

Hi there!!

Sharing another card from my card pile!! I made this card a few months ago when Altenew had just released their first stamps.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Altenew

I decided to play with some pattern paper and started with this a pretty chevron stripe pattern. I cut a big star from the paper in the upper right corner. Next i made my own colored card stock. I used a piece of white card stock and pressed and smeared it in a peach ink pad, i adhered it to my card base. Then placed the die cut pattern paper over it.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Altenew

Using one of the sentiments form Altenew Thoughts & Reminders i stamped one part of the Chase your Dreams near the top of my card. Then i stamped the rest of the sentiment below the star.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Altenew

I though it still need a little something, so i found this Kraft die cut in my extra embellishment dish. I added it to my card with foam tape. I still wasn;t quite done, i wanted a little sparkle and really wanted to add some rhinestones, but i didn't have 4 of the same kind. So instead i added glitter glue to each circle.

Have a great day!!
