My first card features some fab coffee goodies from STAMPlorations!! They are one of the sponsors, so make sure to submit your fall/winter coffee project for your chance to win the STAMPlorations prize!! Seriously, they have 98 items when you search for coffee!!! What couldn't be better?!?!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - STAMPLorations - Coffee

I'm starting with my fall card (I'll be sharing more cards as the week goes on!) and pulled out STAMPlorations Zen Coffee 2 Cover Plate die. I first cut the die from some matte gold card stock, then I adhered it to a dark red card base.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - STAMPLorations - Coffee

Next, I picked out a fall pattern paper pad and different patterns out for different areas of the die cut. For example, I used a darker pattern for the coffee beans and the coffee inside the cup. After cutting I used liquid glue to add the different pieces inside my gold one. I did leave some of the areas not filled on purpose!

Then I stamped and white embossed the Perk Up! sentiment from the After Coffee stamp set. I cut the sentiment into a rectangle and adhered it to the die cut panel. To describe this, it sounds fast and easy, but it took away to cut and then adhere all those pieces!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Make sure you hop along and submit your own fall/winter inspired coffee card!! I'll be back in a couple days with another I made for the hop!!

The DT received the awesome Zen Coffee 2 Cover Plate Die!! This die can be used in so many ways, the inspiration on this hop is amazing!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - STAMPlorations

I started by die cutting the cover plate from black cardstock. Then I placed the black panel over watercolor cardstock, keeping it in place with washi tape. I used a pencil to lightly trace around all the cutouts.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - STAMPlorations

I flipped the panel up so I can color inside the lines. I used my Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers and a little water to color. For the most part, I stayed in the lines, I didn't worry too much about the small little areas.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - STAMPlorations

When it was all dry I erased the pencil lines and then added liquid glue to the back of the die cut and flipped it back over on top of the watercoloring. While that was drying I stamped and white embossed the sentiment Perk Up from the After Coffee stamp set. Last I added a few white sequins!!

Your next stop on the hop is the fabulous Helen Gullett!! Have a great day!!

3rd Annual STAMPlorations Giving Thanks Blog Hop

Hello!

This is my second post today, if you are looking for my Art Impressions post, click here.

If you arrived here from the wonderfully talented Cornelia Wenokor you are in the right place!!

Welcome to STAMPlorations 3rd Annual Giving Thanks, Blog Hop! I'm so happing to be a guest designer representing the Coffee Loving Card Makers!! (check back tomorrow for some more STAMPlorations & Coffee goodness!!)

Even though any time is okay to be grateful and/or thankful, it's just that kind of season with it being fall and Thanksgiving around the corner! Even with life's hardships, there are always things to be thankful, even the small things! I am so thankful for all my crafty friends, family and most especially my mom! I am currently in a Bachelor program and it is happening in a big part to my mom!!

Okay, on to my card!! I started with STAMPlorations Tag O'Coffee die set and cut some masking paper with the coffee dies. From watercolor cardstock I used a stitched rectangle die to cut a panel.

Next, I placed my mask with the coffee dies taken out, the negative I think. I started with the coffee one in the center, using Distress Ink Frayed Burlap, Tea Dye and a tiny bit of Walnut Stain. I did the same thing with the coffee cup with the straw, one on each side of the cup.

I used Frayed Burlap to ink all around the edge of the panel, leaving the center mostly white. With Papertrey Ink Dark Chocolate ink I stamped one of the sentiments from STAMPlorations Words of Gratitude over the center coffee. It says Let Our Lives Be Full of Both Thanks & Giving.

Then I added a bit of water to some Walnut Stain and added some splatters all over the panel. While that dried I thought about added some enamel dots or sequins, but after trying them out I really preferred the card without them!

Thank you so much for hopping along! Your next stop is the wonderful Amy Almeida!! If you get lost or find a broken link or find more info on some the fabulous giveaway, check out the start of the hop at STAMPlorations!

Addicted to Stamps Challenge #165

Hello!

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! The challenge is a photo inspiration!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - STAMPlorations

Our sponsor for this challenge is STAMPlorations and i used two digi stamps they provided to the design team! I started by printing the framed pumpkin and sentiment on some white card stock.

Next i colored the framed pumpkin with my Spectrum Noir markers, then cut around the frame. I also trimmed the sentiment to a strip.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - STAMPlorations

To follow the photo i cut some thin strips from red, green, blue, purple and orange card stock. Then i adhered them too a 5.5 inch square card. Next i cut a thick strip of black card stock adding it to my card on top of of the colored strips. Bellow that i added the sentiment strip.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - STAMPlorations
Last i just adhered the framed pumpkin on top of the black strip. I thought about adding sequins or enamel dots, but finally decided that the stripes made the card busy enough!!

I hope you will play along with us at Addicted to Stamps and More!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Addicted to Stamps Challenge #139

Hello!!

Its time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More!! This week the challenge is CAS (Clean and Simple) and our sponsor is STAMPlorations, i'm using a digi they provided to the Design Team!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - STAMPlorations
I started by printing the digi on some white card stock. I cut it out with Lawn Fawn Stitched rectangle and added it to a white card base with foam tape.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - STAMPlorations

Next i used a few solid flower stamps from the Alley Way Stamps. I colored up one at a time with distress markers, then spritz it with pearlized water and stamped them on white card stock (not watercolor paper). I repeated it many more times until i had a bunch of flowers.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - STAMPlorations

Then i arranged the flowers around the sentiment and adhered them to my card. I decided against adding enamel dots or sequins, figured less was more and since the challenge is CAS the less the better!

I hope you will play along with us and I look forward to see your CAS creations!!

You're Not Extinct

Hi there!!

I'm popping in quick today because i have three other cards to post today!! I didn;t release till to late that yesterday was Friday and i should have posted a card or to, so to get the cards in before the deadline and before i have to work later this afternoon, i have to get these posts up over the next few hours!!

So on to my TAWS card! The October release included this super cute mini set Lava You, its free with a $40 purchase and is super cute!! It goes great with last months release!!! I am playing along with Stamplorations Sketch Challenge:

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I started with a white card stock panel and used washi tape to mask off the edges. I stamped the cute little dinosaur in the Lava You set all around the rectangle i made with the washi tape. Next i stamped the dino again on post it notes so i could mask all the dinosaurs.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Then i used distress inks to fill in the rectangle. Once it was done i flicked in water over the background which i thought added some inetrest to the background. Then i removed the masks and then the washi tape. However, when i removing the washi tape some of the paper came with it (even though i tested it before starting) so i colored the dinosaurs with green copic markers then i had to trim off the white edge and then added the panel to a white card base with foam dots.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I stamped Rawr from the Stomper set on the right side of the panel, like the sketch. I colored in the sentiment with a green copic I added the sentiment 'at least you're not extinct' in brown ink below the panel.

I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Let's Chill

Hiya!!

Today i'm sharing a The Alley Way Stamps card! I'm using a new October release set All Wrapped Up along with an older favorite Chill Out! I am entering this card in STAMPlorations October Challenge: Stamps & Embossing (i used embossing paste).

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I started with a white card base and used some distress ink and applicator to add blue all around the card, leaving the middle white. Next i placed a stencil over my card base and added some embossing paste. I lifted the stencil and set aside the card base to dry.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Meanwhile i used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the All Wrapped Up SVG (The Alley Way Stamps have matching cut files for their stamps in SVG and PNG files). I cut the super cute bird wearing a hat and a scarf along with the tree branch. I stamped the branch with brown pigment ink and the bird with black ink. I made my bird black using a black distress marker. To color the hat and scarf i used Copic markers. I also added a little Wink A Stella on the hat and scarf.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

When the embossing paste was dry i stamped my Let's Chill sentiment from the Chill Out set. I also added a few blue sequins to the background and last adhered the branch and bird.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow with craft room post, along with a card or two that made on Saturday!

Be Extinct

Hi!!

I'm sharing a card i made for the STAMPlorations Sketch Challenge #20. Here's the sketch:

And here is my card:

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

As you can see i took a few liberties with the sketch! Flipped it on it side AND made the strips wide.... like almost wide as the card base! :) Hey i was having fun and i was dealing with a cold so ..... i went with it!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I started by stamping a piece of white card stock with several of the small images from the The Alley Way Stamps new September release. I cut the panel in to four pieces, then ....... decided to die cut a heart from the strips. I adhered the strips to my white card base.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Next i stamped, colored and cut out one of the dinos from the Livin' Fossils. I added the dino to my card base with foam dots. Last i stamped a sentiment from the new Prehistoric set, i stamped it in brown inside the die cut heart.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

For You

Hi there!!

Today i'm sharing a The Alley Way Stamps card with you! I made it this past weekend, though i wanted to get started on it earlier in the week, buuuutttt...... thanks to a cold i didn;t feel like doing anything creative until the weekend! I'm almost over the cold luckily! I'm getting darn tired of blowing my nose every five minutes!! :D

But anyway i needed some inspiration so i wondered around the web looking at challenges and i found one that had a photo prompt that featured apples, however the challenge itself was over! So i wondered around until i found the STAMPlorations blog (i don't have any of their stamps, but luckily you can still play along!)! I've been meaning to play along for awhile, i've been seeing lots of awesome cards on Carol's blog, and this weekend was the day to do it!!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
The challenge is to use stamps & markers, i used both ... not all equally, but hey what can i say, i was lucky to get something done!! :D

I started by stamping the jar from the Buggin Out stamp set on vellum. I stamped it with grey pigment ink and then clear embossed it, then cut i out. Next i stamped several small apples from Tag Alongs. I colored them up with distress markers and cut them out too!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I didn't plan it, but i ended up making a shaker jar.... kind of! I didn;t use any foam adhesive for my shaker but instead just placed my apples on vellum, added glue to the very edge of the jar (behind the stamped jar line) and placed it over the apples. A little weight and once dry, a quasi shaker jar!! I found a tiny die cut tag in my extras bowl and stamped For You from the Got It Covered stamp set. I added the tag to the jar with some brown and white bakers twine.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

I pulled out some pattern paper, inked the edge and added it to my card base. I also cut a stitched rectangle, inked the edge and added it to my card base with foam dots. Last i adhered the jar to the rectangle.

So there you have it, my cold induced take on the stamps & markers challenge over at STAMPlorations!! :D

Thanks for stopping by!!
