I made two cards, one a fall themed card and the other my first winter card of the season! My first card features Coffee Talk and the To Go Cup Fri-Die. I started with a fall themed pattern paper pad from Recollections and cut the coffee cup from different patterns. Then just assembled the cup.

Next, I added a wood grain pattern to a white cardbase. For the sentiment I stamped the Coffee with some very old specialized metallic paint like stuff. I made this card while I was at home, and these paints have been on my mom's craft desk for ages!! It was a little soupy, but it still worked! I painted the coffee and stamped it on white cardstock. When it was dry I fussy cut it out.

I splattered a few other colors all over my cardbase and when that was dry I stamped the Because Adulting is Hard sentiment. The coffee cup was added with foam tape and last I added the Coffee sentiment to the cup with foam tape.

For my second card I went with a winter theme, using Fancy Pants Wish Season pattern papers, ephemera pack and puffy stickers. I started with a pink pattern inking the edges with distress ink. I used the coffee cup dies to cut a couple patterns and then assembled the pieces. Then I wrapped some twine around it and tied it in a bow above the mug wrapper.

From the ephemera pack I picked out the Chill sentiment, a snowflake and a flower bunch. I added the cup and cut outs with foam tape. At first I planned on a sentiment, but in the end I liked it with out one and just went with the Chill! Last I added a few puffy stars.

School

Hey there!!

I love winter and snow... i do NOT love a -39 windchill!! That was yesterday after 17 inches of snow!! Its a little better today and by Saturday it will be 38!! Yep and a little bit of rain!! I wish it would just stay cold, like 30 all winter long, i don;t like the up and down!!

But anyway since i've been staying in (other then snow blowing or shoveling of course!) i've made a few cards! Since receiving more Distress Markers for Christmas i have been in a major coloring mood!

I did this card for Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge - Anything Goes and CAS-ual Friday - In a Word challenge. The In a Word challenge is a word to describe what you hope for the year. My word - School. I will be applying for a 2 year program this spring, if i get in and complete the program i will finally have my bachelor's degree, but for me its so much more then that, it will mean i will have a super good paying job, job security, health insurance and financial security after the student loans are paid off.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps

I created a background using several stamps from Paper Smooches Smarty Pants set. I stamped them on a journaling card then trimmed off a portion of that card. I added a little paper clip and then adhered it to my card base with foam tape.

I then used some alpha stickers to spell out Good Luck at School. This would be a perfect card for any student at any time in their academic year!!

Exciting News!!!!

Hello everyone!!!

Today i have exciting news that has been sooo hard not to spill!!! I'm happy to say that i am one of several ladies on the Sweet Stamp Shop Fall Design Team!!! I am sooo looking forward to sharing some awesome new and old stamping goodness with you over the next few months!!

To celebrate i made a card with some yummy Sweet Stamp Shop stamps! I came up with the idea in the shower!! LOL It started with when i saw the challenge at CAS-ual Friday's: Kraft and Text.
I started with using a ruler and pencil and made two lines, then i stamped letters from Alpha Tab to spell out Happy Birthda. The lines were a guide, i didn't want them perfect since i was going to add legs and surely letters with legs wouldn;t stay still!! Next i stamped the Y a little bit lower and off to the side.

I drew in some legs on the letters and added 'quit your lolly gaggin' Y!! Then i stamped the balloons from Admit One set on my cardbase and again on some watercolor paper. I colored the balloons with Distress Markers and cut them out. I then adhered them to my cardbase with foam dots!

Thanks soo much for stopping by!! I can't wait to share some Sweet cards with you!!! The next release is Tuesday and there are some new AWESOME stamps!!! Click here to check out their shop and here to visit there Facebook page!!

Extraordinary

Hi!

It's CAS-ual Friday Challenge time! This week the challenge is Material Girl, use any kind of material like fabric, felt, canvas etc. This card came to me as i was working on another card, i still had on my desk a couple left over fabric birds from another project and when i saw them, my brain started churning out ideas. After i completed the other card i whipped this one up.

CFC108

I picked a pink cardbase, (i usually go for white, then cover it!) I looped and tied some twine. Then i found on my desk these wood veneers that i just got and started playing with the placement of the bird, twine and embellishments.

When i got it the way i wanted it, i thought it still need a little something and that's when i stamped a flourish with watermark ink. Then i just adhered all my embellishments.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

You're The Best

Hello!

How is everyone doing? Today i have a card that features some cute stamps from Stampcow. They have a great selection of stamps in their etsy shop.

The stamps are wood mounted and are roughly 1.5 by 1.5 inches. And they stamp great!! I'll be featuring several cards through out the week using their stamps and craft supplies, so make sure you stop by over the next few days!!

For my card i was inspired by CAS-ual Friday's challenge this week - Over the Edge.

CFC106

I started with stamping the grass. I stamped one grass image on a piece of cardstock, then immediately stamped it again on my cardbase. I continued across my cardstock and cardbase. Then i cut out my cardstock piece and adhered it to my cardbase with pop up dots.

Next i stamped Stampcow's butterfly image in black ink. I used distress markers to color the wings and then cut it out. Then i stamped the butterfly once more on my cardbase and used pop up dots to adhere my colored butterfly.

Last i added the sentiment, and well it had to go in that exact spot because, of course, as i was making this card a tiny black dot appeared, and well i had to either hide it or start over! (no i couldn;t ignore it, lol) So i that's were the sentiment went!! lol

Thanks so much for stopping by and make sure you check out Stampcow's shop!!

Nothing but Blue Skies

Hello!

Today i have a card for this weeks CAS-ual Friday's challenge. The theme this week is Mapquest, it took me awhile to come with a card as i don;t have very many travel themed stamps, but luckily i did remembered i had a plane from a Lawn Fawn set!

CFC105

I started the card by stamping the plane on pattern paper, cut it out and ink the edges. I also used a printed die cut from the same paper collection. It has the sentiment Nothing but Blue Skies. I added a tiny dots of red glitter on the red spots already on the pattern.

I adhered the plane with pop up dots and before adhering the die i added free hand lines around my Kraft card base.

Quick and easy, nothing earth shattering about this card! lol but that's ok, i still like it!!

Hello there!

Today i have probably the most CAS card i have ever done!! The challenge this week at CAS-ual Friday's is Banners & Flags! And when i sat down at my craft table i was looking at the sets on my desk and that's when inspiration hit as i was looking at a stamp set by Give A Girl A....

CFC104

I stamped the banner in black ink and cut it out. Next i stamped the sentiment 'just a note to say' inside the banner.

Then i adhered the alphabet chipboard stickers to spell hi to my cardbase. Then last i added the banner across the stickers.

Easy peasy!!

Baby Congratulations

Hi There!

Today i'm sharing a baby congratulations card that i made for a friend that just had a sweet little baby a few weeks ago. Yesterday i posted the matching album, you can check it out here. I found the inspiration for the card and album from this card, done by the talented Taheerah.

I am submitting the card to this weeks CAS-ual Friday's Challenge: Congratulations.

cfc103

I used the same cardstock is used with the album for my cardbase. I stamped and cut out the little bear, alpha frame, heart and frame.

I added a tiny twine bow to the heart and assembled the bear, heart and frame on the scalloped shelf. Last i stamped congratulations under the shelf!

Wish Big

Hey!

I have been busy making cards the last couple days and today i am going to share one of them! A coworker of my mom is a great supporter of my cards and she ordered 2 teen boy cards and 2 teen girl cards.... Now i don;t have kids myself and well my teenage years are way behind me so i have no real idea what kind of cards teens want now a days. Now if you told me one kid is really into gaming or skateboarding or something then no problem i can do that! But just general... i'm not so sure... lol

So here i one of my cards i think a teen girl might like... maybe?? lol! I'm linking it to this week's CAS-ual Friday's Challenge - White - Blue and Red. It's been awhile since i could play so i happy to have the challenge again.

cfc102

For my card i was inspired by a card i saw in Paper Crafts 2012 Stamp It! Cards. The card is by Agata Pfister on page 77 if you happen to have the magazine. You can check out her blog here.

I die cut and stamped the pocket and flowers. Added some pearls to the flowers and gold pearls to the pocket. I adhered the pocket to the card with pop up dots.

Then i stamped the sentiment and with a ruler added some lines.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Papertrey Ink November Blog Hop

Hello!

Its that time of the month again! No NOT that!! haha, its PTI Blog Hopping time!!! This month the challenge is to get your inspirations from book covers, you could pick your own or use a cover from this photo:

I used the a cover from the photo, the top left. I tend to go a little more literal with my inspirations so for my card i started out by die cutting the alphabets all in shades of blue. The blue tied in nicely to CAS-ual Friday's Blue Challenge and due to it being thanksgiving i had extra time to enter it at CAS-ual Fridays!

Since i was going with blue i made it a baby card and die cut the word congradulations. I die cut the letters out of differnt shades of blue card stock.

The book cover's letters were askued a bit, but for my card i descided to make the letter all straight. As a final touch and to help tie it into an acutally baby boy card i stamped a tiny sail boat, colored the sail red and cut it out.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!
