Happy Anniversary

Hello!!

Today i'm playing along with the Runway Inspired Challenge #74. Because, well.... its orange dress, so i had to play along! (if you don;t know orange is my favorite color!!!) I was making a holder for my stickles with my Silhouette and it cut a ton of these circles. At first i placed the circles in my extras stash, but then i got to thinking that the orange card stock i used was perfect for this challenge!

So i pulled out a white card base and glued on almost all of the circles, trimming ones that went over the edge. Next i stamped the poppy images from Altenew's Painted Poppy stamp set. I inked up most of the flower with black ink, except for the center, i used a red Distress Marker to color the flower center. I did this twice, then cut out both flowers.

Next i cut a strip of white card stock and stamped the sentiment Happy Anniversary from the same set. Then i stamped the 'to the love of my life' underneath Anniversary coloring it with the red distress marker first.

I added the flowers with foam dots, then the sentiment strip, trimming off the extra. I also had to trim a little of one of the flower stems.

UR Special

Hey there!!

How is everyone doing?!?! Its cold and there was snow yesterday, but i'm so done with that! I'm thinking out of mind out of sight!! (think it will work?!?! hehe)

Today i have a card i made for The Runway Inspired Challenge. Here is the fashion inspiration! (so shiny!)

I dug out some silver glitter paper and wondered if i could emboss on it! Well turns out you can! And i love the result. I used watermark ink and The Alley Way's new stamp set Spotted. With some washi tape and post it notes i masked of all but a triangle at the top of my glitter panel. I stamped and embossed each line until the triangle was complete. Removed the washi tape and wa-la a nice shiny, dotty triangle!!

For a sentiment i die cut a U and R, then pressed them into watermark ink and embossed them with the same black embossing powder i used for the triangle. This gave the letters a nice glossy look to them.

Next i stamped and embossed the sentiment special from The Alley Way's Tooty Fruity stamp set. I added the U and R and a grey jewel. I also added 3 big silver sequins at the triangle, adding enamel dots to the sequins centers!

Always Here

Hey!!

Today i am sharing a card i made for Runway Inspired Challenge. The inspiration is this photo:

I started with a triangle pattern form The Alley Way Stamp set Bitty Borders. I stamped a long strip of it on watercolor paper. Then i used distress markers to color in stripes. I used the red, yellow, blue and black that is in the inspiration photo. I also colored the triangles twice to darken the colors.

Since my strip was so long first adhered in across my card base then trimmed. I stamped the sentiment above this first strip. Then i adhered the remaining strip next to the sentiment, trimmed it and then added the remaining piece above it.

Just a Little Bit of Love

Hey there!!

Well yesterday my Christmas break officially came to an end as the new semester started! It should be a fun semester 3 academic classes and a dance exercise class! Yep you read it right dance exercise! I needed 1 credit to make it to the full time minimum and i wanted to take the easiest class available and i figured any lost weight will be an extra bonus, YAY!!

Today i have a card for The Runway Inspired Challenge and for Keep It Simple Challenge: Text.

I started with some pattern paper that has text, the word love, very tiny loves!! Next i die cut a heart from a full adhesive post it note. I adhered it in the center of the pattern paper panel. Next i use dye ink and an ink applicator tool to ink up the area around the post it note heart.

Next i used various ink colors to stamp several different hearts. All the hearts are from various The Alley Way Stamp sets, the specific sets are listed below. I stamped off a couple of the hearts and also used a tiny circle and star cluster to stamp around the blue cloud in the same ink (but you can;t really see it in the picture!)

I also added tiny dots of glitter glue. After i was done stamping and inking, i pulled up the post it note heart and with a fine black pen i added some lines, dashes and dots to outline the heart.

Last i die cut the sentiment love from blue glitter paper. To make it pop more from the card i die cut it 3 more times from white cardstock, then run 2 of them and the glitter one through my sticker maker machine. I adhered each layer together, then because i didn;t like the white edge i used a black marker to color all the edges. I then adhered the love to my card base.

I also want to mention that this month is The Alley Way Stamps 3rd birthday and to celebrate, there is a coupon good for January, 25% off your purchase, use code TAWSbirthday3 at checkout!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Die Cut Flower

Hello!

Today i have a card i made for the Runway Inspired Challenge. This is the inspiration photo:

I couldn;t find any paper that matched the green/yellow of the pants, so i made my own. I started with some yellow pattern paper and then i stamped a pattern over the paper with green ink. I used a stamp from The Alley Way Stamp - Bitty Border set. I think with the yellow paper and green ink, i got close to the color in the photo.

Next i used a flower die cut and cut the flower from my stamped pattern paper. I saved all the little pieces to use later. I adhered the rectangle (with the flower shape cut out of it) to my cardbase.

Next i wanted to re-make my flower with the little pieces you usually through away. I placed the flower outline back into the space i die cut. Then i added all the pieces back with foam dot. Its like a puzzle fitting each piece into the flower. When they are all added, i carefully pulled up the flower outline.

To finish i added a glitter gem to the flower center and stamped my sentiment, also from the Bitty Border set.
