Hello!
I'm back with another I made for Winnie & Walter's 3rd Birthday Bash Challenges! This one was fun, it's been awhile since I played with my embossing paste. This card is for the Stencil Challenge!
I don't have any Winnie & Walter stencils, but I just received the new Typecast: Cary Letters Cutaways. The alphabet comes attached and I decided to run the whole thing through my die cutting machine as it is. I used some thick white card stock because I am going to use it as my stencil and it has to hold up to the embossing paste and being scraped.
I pushed out all alphabets, I'll keep these for another future card. I placed my handmade stencil over a white card base. Then I mixed embossing Paste and Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals - Chateau Rose, this is a powder pigment. I got this gorgeous dark peach color, that I spread over my stencil. Since I had a lot extra I pulled out a couple other stencils and used it all up with them and now I have some cool backgrounds for future use.
While the background was drying I used Winnie & Walter's The Party and stamped a couple balloons in mint. I used an opaque white pen to add polka dots to the smaller balloon. I fussy cut them out and then added some white and gray twine to the balloons. I tied a small piece into a bow.
I cut a strip of white card stock and stamped Let's Celebrate in gray and added it over the alpha background. Last, I added the balloons and bow.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Ink Smooshing with Distress Ink
Hello!!
I have another card I made for fun and for Winnie & Walter's 3rd Birthday Bash Challenges! This card is for the Ink Smooshing Challenge! This is my favorite way to watercolor a background!!
I started with Winnie & Walter's Welcome to the Family stamp set and placed the small baby sentiment stamps and couple hearts together in a group on my Misti. Then I started stamping the group all over a watercolor panel, moving the panel around until it was covered.
Then I pressed Wild Honey Distress Ink to a flat plastic palette and added a spritzed or two. I pressed the stamped panel into the ink a couple times. Before doing the same thing with the Work Lipstick ink I let the yellow dry first.
While the background was drying I stamped the super cute Giraffe and then colored him with my Spectrum Noir Markers. I used: FS6, GB1, GB7, TN1,TN7, TN8, TN9. Then I trimmed the top part of the image. I stamped New Baby below the giraffe.
Before I added the image I used Ground Espresso Distress Marker to squiggle some ink on the palette and then added some water. I flicked the ink over the background and let that dry.
When the background was totally dry I added a strip of vellum to the bottom of the card and then added the giraffe panel to the card with foam tape. Last I added some dark wooden dots to the card.
Thanks for stopping by!

Watercoloring not on Watercoloring Paper
Hello!
Today I have a card I made for Altenew Inspiration Challenge. Below is the photo and color inspiration! I decided to do something a little different and watercolor, but not on watercolor paper!! Don't worry it still works, just not as well! But, I like how it looks, so well I just do it!! LOL!! I am also entering this in Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes!
I started with Altenew's Painted Flower stamp set, adding just the outline layer flowers to my Misti. Then I first colored the flower parts with Worn Lipstick Distress Marker, then stamped it. Next, I colored the flowers with Picked Raspberry and stamped again. With a water brush, I went over the pink lines pulling the color into the flower, it was helpful to also pull color from the solid parts and add it here and there.
I did the same thing with the leaves using the Peeled Paint Distress Marker. For the sentiment I used Brushed Corduroy Marker, stamping it a couple times. The sentiment is from the Ori Kami stamp set.
With the Brushed Corduroy, I added some dots with the marker and for some added texture some sequins.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Simple Card to Get the Mojo Flowing
Hello,
I've been in a bit of a slump, not feeling like creating or I feel like creating but continue to mess up and then end up frustrated!! So after a few days away from the craft table, I was ready!! To just ease into it (I didn't want to mess up again and so on!!) I made a really easy simple card!! Before my slump, I wanted to play along with Winnie & Walters 3rd Birthday Bash Challenges! So I used the challenges as a way to bring back my mojo and to just have a little fun for fun's sake!
This card is for the Cute Critter Card Challenge!
This card is really simple and was really nice to do! Not hard, just easy coloring and die cutting! I got really lucky and won a new W&W stamp set and dies, they came just in time for me to get back into!! I started by die cutting the kitty image from Welcome to the Family, then used my Misti to match up the stamp to the die. Then I used a few Spectrum Noir Markers to color her up! I used FS6, IG1, IG2, IG4.
Next, I die cut a stitched rectangle from some pretty flower pattern paper. From the same pad, I also cut a strip of pink pattern. I used a small doily die with some light pink paper. Then I die cut a circle from white cardstock. I added the kitty to the circle and then added it to the pink doily with foam dots.
On the pink paper strip, I stamped the Happy Birthday and then added the pink doily. I added the strip to the pattern paper panel and then adhered that to a white card base. Last I added some glitter enamel dots.
From here I went on to make several more cards that I will be sharing over the next couple days! It's so nice to create again!!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Art Impressions Challenge 202 - Playful People
Hello!!
It's the second week of Art Impressions Challenge 202 - Playful People! AI has also released 4 new clear stamps and they are AMAZING!! Stop by the AI blog to see all 4 stamp sets!!
My card today features the Reel Great Guys stamp set! I started by stamping the guys in the boat on a stitched rectangle. Then I stamped the fish hook sign and added the sentiment inside the sign. I also stamped the fish in the stamp set below the other fishing pole.
Then I used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color everything. I started with the fish first, color it green. Then I went in with some blues for the water, going over the already colored fish. I was hoping it would look like the fish was under the water and I wanted to make sure it would work before coloring everything else. Well, I think it worked so on to the other color I went! I used: DR1, DG3, CG4, CG5, EB1, EB2, EB5, EB6, FS4, FS6, FS9, GB8, GB9, GT2, GT3, IG1, IG4, IG6, JT3, TN8, TN9. Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers: AB1, AB3.
Next, I found some pattern paper that matched and added it to a white card base. Since this is a guy card I didn't want a lot of 'extra' stuff so to keep it simple and still masculine I added a few matching enamel dots to the panel. Last I just adhered the panel to the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by!! Make sure you stop by the AI blog for more inspiration and your chance to play along with our Playful People challenge!!

Masculine with Distress Markers
Hello!
I'm on the Art Impressions blog today with another masculine card!! What can I say I was in the mood! Masculine cards can be tough, but a good way to make it easy is a cool manly stamp and manly pattern paper!! For my card I used Art Impressions Old Guy Club Set with Fancy Pants Swagger pattern paper.
I started by cutting some watercolor paper with a stitched die. Then I stamped the Old Guys and then used my Distress Markers to color them up: Tattered Rose, Pumice Stone, Ground Espresso, Peeled Paint, Peacock Feathers, Black Soot, Carved Pumpkin, Rusty Hinge, Iced Spruce, Evergreen Bough, Vintage Photo.
I picked out the vintage looking pattern added it to a white card base. From the same pattern paper pad, I cut a strip of wood grain and cut notches in the ends. I folded it in half and added a brad to the center. With some adhesive, I added the embellishment to the corner of my stamped panel.
Last, I added the stamped panel to the card with foam tape. Another tip for masculine is to keep it simple: Pattern paper background, stamped and color image and one embellishment!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Art Impressions Masculine Paper Piecing
Hello!!!
Today I'm on the Art Impressions blog with a cute little card for that special golfer in your life, Gordon Golfer!! Sometimes they did a little pick me up or just a hello! I did some simple paper piecing today, the best way to do paper piecing, pick pattern paper from the same paper pad!! Super easy, no matching necessary!
Whenever I do paper piecing I always start with the paper! Since this is a card for a guy I used Fancy Pants Swagger pad. I think golf pants always call for plaid!! A little stamping and fussy cutting and I have a pant and a hat for my golfer!
Since I went with the gray striped background I kept his shirt basic white and added just a touch of color to his outfit by coloring his socks!! To color everything but his hat and pants I used my Spectrum Noir Markers: BG5, BG6, EB5, EB6, FS4, FS6, FS9, IG1, IG2, JG6.
I kept the panel I stamped and colored the golfer on simple and square! So I did the same for the sentiment, though made it into a rectangle. I added the square and rectangle to the card with foam tape and lastly added a few matching enamel dots!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Art Impressions Challenge #201 - Lots of Love
Hello!
It's the second week of Art Impressions Challenge #201, so plenty of time still left you to play along!! The Design Team are featuring NEW Mini Tryfolds, stamps perfect for Valentine's Day or any day you want to send some love!!
My card ...oh wait, can't say that! Hold the presses!! It's rare I don't make a card, and well I planned on making a card but a big mistake changed that!!! So to not have to throw away all my hard work I made a tag instead!! :D
These new Mini Tryfolds are so adorable! My tag features the Paws to Love set!! I first stamped all the images on white cardstock and then used my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers to color them. I used: Blender, AB1, AB3, AP1, AP3, PP1, DG3, GB2, GB4, GB7, GB9, IG2, IG6, MB2, PP2, patterYG1. Then I fussy cut them out with sharp scissors.
Because my intentions were to make a card I followed the instruction on the stamp packaging to make the card. I added some pattern paper from Pebbles Garden Party pad, a different pattern for the front, fold and inside.
I started with the front of the card and adhered the image in the middle, I also added a little bit of kraft card stock for a ground. With the biggest die I cut through the center of the image, it cut through the image center, the pattern paper and the card cardstock. I did have to run it through my machine a few times!
Then I moved on to the fold and the second image, but this is were it all went wrong!! Instead of reapeating what I did above for the fold pannel, I did instead it instead on the inside! If you are not familiar with Tryfolds, your top image is on the left top panel, open that to the second fold panel and that opens to the right to reveal the third inside image. Well my card now had a nice window in that inside panel.
Instead of scrapping everything and starting over I instead cut the card part at the folds. So now I have three seperate panels! I went ahead and completed the 'inside' panel and then placed everything in the right order.
To make the tag I punched wholes in the top of each panel and then used some white ribbon to attach all three pannels together. For a little added interest I added a twine bow around the ribbon.
Thanks so much for stopping by! And now you know what NOT to do when making a Tryfold card!! LOL!!

Art Impressions Valentine Wobble Card
Hello!!
I'm on the Art Impressions blog today! Send your special someone a card featuring an Art Impressions Valentine Action Wobble card, there are four great wobble sets: Tweetheart Set, Has Hugz Set, Bear Hug Set and Main Squeeze Set.
My card features the Tweetheart set, isn't it soo cute?!?! I started by die cutting a circle from watercolor cardstock and then stamping the full image. On a piece of scrap watercolor card stock, I stamped the small image that will be going on the wobble. With my Distress Markers I colored both images, I used: Fired Brick, Carved Pumpkin, Spiced Marmalade, Ground Espresso.
Then I fussy cut out the smaller image and attached it to the bigger image with an action wobble. I found in my stash some cute love birds pattern paper and I added it to a white card base. From the same paper pad, I used a banner die a few times along with one made from the water color card stock.
I added the circle with the wobble to the card base and below added a few banners. For the sentiment, I stamped it on the watercolor banner and added it to the card with foam tape.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Wanna Share?
Hello AI fans!!
Well, it's February and that means Valentine's day is only 14 days away!!! Art Impressions have some great Valentine stamps and today I am featuring the Wanna Share set!
I started with the background cutting a panel from watercolor card stock. I applied Distress Inks Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick to the panel, then I splattered some water all over.
While the panel dried I stamped the lady from the Wanna Share set on some white card stock. Then I used the following Spectrum Noir Markers to color her up: BP4, BP6, CR5, CR11, CR6, EB5, EB6, FS4, FS6, FS9, LG3, LG4, LG5, IG5, IG6. Then I fussy cut out the image.
I placed a Simon Says Stamp Tiny Spaced Heart stencil over the watercolored panel. I colored the stencil with Barn Door Distress Ink. Then I wrapped some gold stripe washi tape three times around the card.
At the bottom of the panel, I stamped the sentiment. Above it, I adhered the image with foam tape.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
