Be Bold

Hello!!

Today i'm on The Alley Way Stamps blog and sharing a card that i made with the new Oh Splat stamp set!! This is such a fun set, who dosen;t like splats!! :)
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I started by stamping almost every splat in the stamp set with different colors of pigment inks. These stamps are solid and  you get great coverage with pigment inks, especially Memento Luxe inks (my favorite pigment ink!!)

Next i cut the 4.25 x 5.5 panel in half, then cut each half in half.... you come out with four different strips. I added three of them to a black panel. I couldn;t quite fit all four on the panel with out doing some more cutting and that would be too much work, haha!!! :)

I cut a strip of black card stock and white embossed the sentiment Be Bold in the middle. Then i added it to my card, along the left side with foam tape.  I thought about adding sequins or enamel dots, but in the end thought the splats were enough.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Let's Talk

Hello!

Today i'm on the Art Impressions blog with a little card that would be perfect for a young lady who likes to talk on cell phones!! You can send her a little snail mail note!!!

I started by first finding some pattern paper, that way i could pick out colors that would match when i colored the image. I found some cool light grey with dots pattern paper and cut it to fit a white card base.

Next i die cut a big speech bubble from white card stock. I stamped the image from Texting BFFs on the big speech bubble. The die also cuts a border and i colored the border with a black marker. Then i used Spectrum Noir markers to color the image.

Then i added the speech bubble and border to my card base with foam tape. I stamped the 'Let's Talk Soon!' sentiment below the speech bubble. Last i added a few black and grey rhinestone to add a little sparkle!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Hola

Hello!!

Today i'm on The Alley Way Stamp blog sharing a card featuring the new Cha Cha Cha and Neener Neener stamp sets. Neener Neener is this months FREE with a $40 purchase stamp set!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
This card was really fun to make, i played with some Spectrum Aqua Markers!! Frist i stamped the cactus on a watercolor panel that i had die cut with a stitched rectangle. I stamped two of the faces from Neener Neener. For the sentiment i stamped the partial speech bubble from Cake Day and then stamped the Hola sentiment from Cha Cha Cha!

Then i went to town watercolor the cactus, ground and a touch of blue for the sky. I started by coloring with the marker directly to the paper, then spreading the color with a water brush. As i added different colors (especially with the cactus) i used a damp brush as the water brush puts out plenty of water!

I thought it still needed something, so i pulled out a few different colored sequins and added them to my card.

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you have a great day!!

Beep Beep

Hello!!

I'm on The Alley Way Stamps blog today with a card featuring two new July stamps! They just became available and your going to want them in your little crafty hands!! I also have some exciting news to share this weekend so make sure to stop by!!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
For my card i started with the new alpha set Great Expressions, i inked it up before i removed any of the stamps and stamped it on some watercolor paper. I thought i'd do this before i start using and moving the alpha's from their perfect lines!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I used a couple different Distress inks to get a watercolor background. I think i'm addicted to water coloring!!! Next i stamped the super cute road runner from the new Cha Cha Cha set on watercolor paper. I used Distress Markers to color him up, then i fussy cut around him.
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
Then i found some dark red card stock that i cut in a strip and stamped the Beep Beep sentiment from the Cha Cha Cha set. I added both the card stock strip and the road runner to the watercolor panel, then adhered the watercolor panel to a white card base!

Thanks for stopping by!!

More Candles

Hiya!!

I'm on the Art Impressions blog today with a super easy mini tag card to share with you! So i kind of like tags! Have a lot of different shapes and sizes and sometimes i like to make little cards out of the bigger tags in my stash.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions
It's super easy to make cards out of your dies, even the small ones! Just score a piece of card stock in half (you can use a smaller piece of card stock if your die is small). On the cutting plate lay down your die (cutting edge up) and then placed your scored card stock over the die, with the folded part just below the top of the die. Run it through the machine a couple times since it has two layers to cut through! And wa-la you now have a card in the shape of your die!

On my little tag card i stamped a new AI stamp that you can find at AC Moore called Bigger Cake. I stamped the image again on another piece of white card stock and then colored it with Copic markers.

Then i fussy cut out the lady and cake and then added her to the tag card with foam dots. I added some matching purple ribbon to the top of the tag card.

Thanks for stopping by!!
