Hello!
I hope everyone has a great weekend! I will be doing lots of studying and lots of crafting!! But before i got started i wanted to share a card i made for one of the Papertrey Ink's Anniversary Challenges, Color Recipe Cards. I picked the recipe by Laurie Willison because i need to make a baby card for a cousin. From my PTI stash i had picked out a flower set and a baby set, but as i tried arranging the stamping and die cuts, well... it just wasn;t working so i went in another direction and made it in to a birthday card instead!
First i die cut a stitched rectangle from white card stock. Then i used the poppy stamp from PTI's Botanical Silhouette set (PTI's 2010 Anniversary stamp set). Since this was meant to be a baby card, i used the second generation stamping with the stems and flowers. But even though i used Raspberry Fizz and Hibiscus Burst for the flowers, after the second generation stamping, you can't really tell which color is which. It's not bad, but i had hoped for some variation!!
After the poppies were stamped, i used the dandelion stamp with Lemon Tart. but it was really really light (no second generation stamping here) that i pulled out Summer Sunrise. I used the light orange with the small dandelion stamp, and stamping it off before adding it to the Lemon Tart dandelions.
My panel is about 1/4 smaller then a 4.25 x 5.5 card base and to save time from trying to match some card stock, i cut another panel that would fit my card base. With Hibiscus Burst ink pad i colored around the edge of the bigger panel, no need to color the whole thing because my stamped panel is adhered to the bigger one.
Next i cut a strip of Kraft card stock and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the stamp set at the right of the strip. I trimmed the strip so it was only as wide as the stamped panel, then added it to the card with foam tape. Last i added a few pink and white sequins.
Thanks so much for stopping by! If you are in the midwest and northeast, stay warm!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!
Hello!!
I'm on the Art Impression's blog with a sweet Valentine's Day card today!! I used the new In the Air Clear Stamp set! I just love these cute skunks!! And you can use the set past Valentine's Day!!
I started with some white watercolor card stock and a tiny heart stencil. After covering the paper with the stencil i used my Spectrum Noir Aqua Scarlet Marker to color in each of the hearts. A little tedieous, but it turned out great!!
Next i stamped the cut little skunk holding the love balloon and then used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color it. Then i fussy cutting it out, leaving a little bit of white around the image.
I added some gold stripe washi tape across my heart panel. Below the washi tape i stamped the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment.
Last i added the image with foam tape and for a little sparkle a few clear sequins!
Thanks for stopping by! Hopefully this puts you in the love mood, just in time for you play along with our, Love, Love, Love Challenge!!

Relax It's Your Day
Hello!
I'm popping in with a card i made for Unity Stamp Co's Show & Tell Facebook Challenge. I needed to do something a little different and set aside my DT stamps for a few hours and this is one the cards i made!
The challenge is a sketch:
I started by cutting white card stock rectangles and then stamping the couch, chair and lamp from Unity's Comfy Cozy stamp set. Then i decided to do some paper peicing so i found some pattern paper that i liked.
Next i picked out one pattern paper and wrapped some black twine around the panel, tieing it in a bow. After adding the patterns to the furnature i stamped the sentiment Relax It's Your Day above the couch.
Last i added the rectangles to my panel with foam tape and then added the panel to a white card base.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Skip a Beat
Hello!!
I'm stopping by with a Valentine card I made for Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge #37! The Challenge is Anything Goes as long as you use at least one SSS product! I decided to use a few SSS products, including a valentine stamp set that saw some ink for the first time!!!
I cut a panel of white card stock with a stitched rectangle die, then i used SSS Falling Backgrounds stamp set (the hearts) to stamp a background. I used Kraft ink because picked out a piece Kraft colored pattern paper that i decided to use on my card.
Next i stamped a small heart from SSS Locking Hearts stamp set. I used red ink, second generation to stamp the hearts over the Kraft hearts. Then i added the grid pattern over the hearts and off to the left with foam tape.
Then i die cut and stamped three of the hearts from the Locking Hearts set. The two with the kind of heart cut out, i scored down the middle and added foam tape to one side of the heart. This helped the hearts stand out.
I stamped the You Make My Heart Skip a Beat in dark brown ink and last added a few clear sequins!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Chin Up Buttercup
Hello!!
It's time for a new challenge at Pinterest Inspired Challenge!! It's a great challenge this month, lots ways to get inspiration!!
Here's the photo:
I really liked the geometric pattern and the watercolroing of the each triangle. My goal was to do something similar! First i found a stencil with a pattern and then cut a stitched rectangle from watercolor paper.
I picked out three distress ink colors that i used for the card, Peeled Paint, Rusty Hinge, Peacock Feathers. I placed the stencil over the water color panel, then i added water over the stencil, which i think allowed the color to seep under the stencil a little more! Next time i'm not going to add the water and see if the pattern is a little less blurry!
After applying the ink with some water i set the panel aside to dry. I noticed that the stencil had some water and ink still on it so i pressed the stencil on some extra watercolor paper. It looked like i had flicked ink all over, i liked how it looked so i stamped the from Darcie's Heart & Home Buttercup Bee stamp set. In the center of the frame i stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set.
The flowers i used on the card came from the same stamp set. I used the same ink colors to color the flowers, then i fussy cut them out. Next i added the watercolor panel to a black card base and a black strip over that. With foam tape i added the frame and flowers, then last a few black enamel dots!
Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope you will play along with at the Pinterest Inspired Challenge!!
