Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #135

Hello!!

Its time for a new challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More!! This week its a photo challenge:

I am also entering this into Cupcake Inspiration's Challenge!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Lawn Fawn
It's pretty apparent i was inspired by the cupcakes in both these photo's!! Plus i just happened to get the new Lawn Fawn Baked with Love stamp set and what a perfect excuse to use the cute little cupcakes in the set.

I started by stamping and masking the cupcake dish and cupcakes. I colored everything up with copic markers and then cut it out. Since my cupcakes were colorful and bright i decided that a light watercolor background would be just the thing.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Lawn Fawn

From the Lawn Fawn set Scripty Sayings i stamped and embossed the birthday sentiment. I did the same thing with the hearts from Backed with Love. Then on a clear block i pressed a few PTI ink pads, then with water colored the background.

Last i added a few sequins here and there! Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Hello!!

I'm popping in to share a card i made with the The Alley Way Stamps new stamp Hard Boiled! Its such a cute set!!! Don't forget to link up your TAWS creations, visit the link on the TAWS blog!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I started by using a stencil and embossing paste to add a little bit of texture to the background of a white card base. While it dried i die cut a couple a red and blue faux washi tapes. On the red strip i stamped Chicken Soup in brown ink.

Next i stamped several of the images from Hard Boiled and colored them with distress markers. I cut each one out and once the background was dry i added the faux washi tapes to the card with foam tape. Then i added each image with foam tape.

I found some wood grain alpha stickers and i added them to my card base to spell out 'for the soul.' Kind of my version of a clean homespun card! :)

Can i Borrow?

Hello!

I'm popping in today with a just for fun card today! I recently ordered a couple new goodies online and as soon as they came i did a little playing and this was one of the cards from that playing. This card is being submitted to the Cards in Envy Challenge - Anything goes with a Bow. Me and this challenge are like on the same wave length or something. Its seams like every other challenge, i make a card, then see the challenge in my blog feed and lo-an-behold my card fits the challenge perfectly, with no planning!! I must be getting vibes or something!! Hehehehe!!!!

I used a Avery Elle dotted border die to cut some white card stock. I stamped the new (to me) birthday image from Art Impressions Out to Lunch stamp set. Colored it up with some Copic markers and added a little glitter glue to the candle flame (i know its a little hard to tell in the close up photo, but it is there!!! :D )

Next i stamped one of the sentiments at the bottom of the panel, i thought the sentiment was pretty funny! Then i was lucky enough to find some thin lavender twine, i wrapped it around the panel and tied it in a bow.

I found a purple card base that i had already cut at some point and adhered my panel. I think this card could work for any occasion, i figured i'd stamp a sentiment (birthday, thinking of you, etc) depending on the occasion i might need it for. And its pretty flat (only thing 3D about it is the twine), so its perfect for mailing!!

Thanks for stopping by!! I'll be back tomorrow with a new TAWS card and later in the day we start a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More!!

Yay!

Hiya!!

I'm stopping in to submit a card for the Cure for the Monday Blues Challenge #45! Today is the last day, so make sure you get to crafting to play along! Here is the photo inspiration:

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Simon Says Stamp
I really liked the pink and orange, along with the Yay on the card or present. The colors reminded me of this bright pink panel that i had made a long time ago, well i found it and it was perfect. With it i found some orange card stock stripes, score!!!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Simon Says Stamp

To make the background i used distress ink and a stencil. You can see this video i made here, it describes how i did the same technique but with a different card.

I arranged the orange stripes over the watercolor panel and when i was happy with the arrangement i glued them down. Rather then trimming off the edges i wrapped the stripes around to the back of the panel and adhered them down.

Next i stamped the sentiment Yay (luckily i remember a recent stamp set with the sentiment Yay in it! I hope to eventually have all my stamps organized and cataloged on my computer so i can do a quick search for any sentiment or image i might need!) in black pigment ink, twice. I really wanted it to be black and since its a solid stamp that meant stamping it twice for super good coverage.

Last, but not least, my card need something else and that was sequins! I think i have everyone of Neat & Tangles sequin mixes, they have such a great mix of colors that i have yet to find a color that i need but don;t have!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - Guest Designer

Hello!!

Today i'm excited to be joining The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers as a Guest Designer! Whoo Hoo!! The challenge is L is for Leprechaun!! How fun is this!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Simon Says Stamps
So i don;t have any St. Patrick Day stamps (probably not even a clover), so i went to google. At first my plan was to find a digi stamp i liked and use that for my card. However on my sure i found a super funny cartoon by Robin Crossman. He dose some super funny cartoons called Ned & Larry, i couldn;t find a direct link to the cartoon (what i found had a bunch of pop ups, yuck!), but you can find some of other Ned & Larry cartoons here. I'm sure you could see the actual cartoon if you google Robin Crossman and St. Patrick Day!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Simon Says Stamps

I started my card by die cutting the fish bowl out of water color paper. I also cut two of the fish from Simon Says Stamps Best Fishes stamp set, stamped the matching images and colored them with Papertrey Ink dye inks.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Simon Says Stamps

At this point i new i was going to try a shaker card (i'm really bad at shaker cards!!). So i cut a panel of water color paper and with a pencil lightly traced the fish bowl. I also lightly sketched rainbow lines, i wanted the rainbow to look like it ended in the fish bowl, similar to the cartoon. I used PTI inks and a little water to color the rainbow. I also added a little blue color to were the fish bowl would be.

I added the two fish to the panel with foam dots, then piled some black and silver sequins in between them. To my cut fish bowl i adhered some clear acetate, then added foam tape all around the bowl before adding it to my card base.

Last i needed a sentiment, i came up with Where's the Gold?!?, you know because its the end of the rainbow, i sure would want gold!!  I used a stamp set and matching die from Lawn Fawn for the work bubble, then hand wrote the sentiment!

I hope you will stop by The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers to see Design Team's projects and hopefully play along with us!!

Have a great day!!

Happy Birthday

Hello!!

I'm popping in today with a card i made for the current Marker Pop Challenge #63 - Bright Colors!

I thought this would be the perfect time to use my small Hero Arts Neon ink cubes. I have a bunch of white card stock strips (left overs from my ongoing stamp organization, i have a ton!!) and pulled out a few and i inked up each strip with each of my neon ink cubes, orange, green, pink and blue.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Winnie & Walter
Next i adhered the stripes together on a white card base. For a little added depth to my background i stamped the outline confetti stamp from Winnie & Walter's The Party, in a light grey ink. Then on another piece of white card stock i stamped several balloons from the same set and then colored them with a few copic markers. Since i planned on cutting out the balloons i didn;t worry about staying in the lines, after cutting them all out i inked the edges with a black marker.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Winnie & Walter

Then it was just about arranging the balloons over the neon strips. I think the green, red and blue colors really pop against the bright neon! I wasn't sure if it was going to work, but all the colors are really bright and intense, so i think that helps. When i was happy with the arrangement i added the balloons with foam dots.

Rather then stamping the balloon string, i used a black pen to add them. Making sure the all ended at about the same area at the bottom of the card. Then i stamped the present with the big bow, colored the bow and then just cut the bow out. I added it to the card were all the balloon strings meet, so it looks like the bow is hold all the strings together.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Winnie & Walter

I thought the card needed a little sparkle, so i added several tiny dots of glitter glue all around the balloons. Last i stamped the Happy Birthday in black ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you will stop by tomorrow as i have special card to share tomorrow!!

Your Teepee or Mine?

Hello!

Today i am stopping in with a card i made with The Alley Way Stamps new Wigwam stamp set! Such a cute set and it goes great with the other sets released this month!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I started with all the tiny little western shapes, these shapes actually fit in the teepee, so you can arrange them how every you might like on your teepee. But for my card i laid them all out on my mat into three rows, i used all of the little images from Wigwam and Buff except for two. they just didn't fit into my three rows that i made to match the size of my clear block.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps

Next i inked up the rows and stamped them on a panel of watercolor paper. I repeated this until the whole panel was covered. I new i wanted a watercolor look, so i added some water to the panel and used some die inks and water to add color to the background. But it was really too light, i wanted more intense color. So instead i pressed each ink pad on my panel, here and there, starting with the lightest color and working my way to to darkest color. Then with a paint brush and water i spread and diluted the color a little. The result a more intense watercolor background.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
While the panel was drying i stamped the teepee from Wigwam on some Kraft card stock. I used a brown and red copic marker to color in/shade a few areas of the teepee and then cut it out. Next i found some red card stock and added it to my now dry watercolor panel. I added the teepee with foam tape to the left of the card and stamped the sentiment to the right.
