Art Impressions - Wobbles and Spinner Card

Hello!!

Have you heard about the NEW mini action wobbles now available at Art Impressions? They are available in several different packs and are perfect for smaller images. Today I'm on the Art Impressions blog sharing a card I made a few months ago before these came out. The images I used were smaller than the regular size wobblers so I had to cut the wobbles to fit the images and let me tell you these mini wobbles would have made this card so much easier!!!

The stamp set I used is actually a Mini Spinner set, I think makes for a perfect set to use the mini wobbles with. I stamped, colored and die cut out the raccoon and cupcake from the Mini Raccoon Spinner stamp set. I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color the images, I used: CR2, CT4,  IG1, IG2, IG4, IG6, IG8, OR1, PP2, TB6.

Since I was using a spinner stamp set I decided to go ahead and made this card 2x as interactive with the cupcake spinner and the wobble raccoon! With a small circle die I cut circles in a white card base and some striped pattern paper.

To make my cupcake spinner, I ran the two cupcakes through my sticker maker and then added some floss before adhering the two together. Next, I added the spinner to the circle window and used double sided tape to adhere the spinner to the white card base.

Then I adhered the striped paper to the card front. After cutting the bigger wobbles (get the mini's and save yourself some time!!) down I added the front raccoon to the front of the card and the back raccoon to the card inside. I also stamped the sentiment on the inside of the card!

Crafter's Companion - Together Forever - NEW

Hello!

I'm popping in because Crafter's Companion has a new release today by Sara Davies!! Her new Signature Collection Together Forever is an awesome collection. It can not only work for birthday's but is perfect for weddings and anniversaries!!

I started my card by cutting a strip of the Printed Vellum, the vellum comes in several patterns in gold and silver. For my card, I picked the gold damask. I added double sided tape on each end and placed the strip on a black card stock panel. I wrapped the ends around after peeling off the backing paper from the tape.

Next I from vellum I die cut the Celebrate and Tiara Mini Edgable. I added a little bit of liquid adhesive to the top of the tiara and adhered it just under the vellum strip. When that was dry I wrapped black twine around the panel several times, this hides the edge between the vellum strip and tiara and of course the glue.

Last I added the Celebrate just above the twine and added the panel to a black card base. The Together Forever collection makes elegant cards super easy!!

Art Impressions Challenge 190

Hello!

There is still time to play along with Art Impressions Challenge 190! The theme is Glitter and Shimmer!! And I have a lot of shimmer with the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens I used to color the super cute Wildly Cute Set.

I am also entering this into Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. The theme is Let's Go Wild, my sentiment is perfect for this theme!! :)

I started by stamping the adorable giraffe on watercolor paper with brown ink. Then I used Sparkle Pens and some water to layer the color on. I used Biscuit, Smoked Quartz, and Starry Sky. I used a bit of water to get a watercolor look with the giraffe. Also for some reason, the brown ink reacted with the Smoked Quartz, but I liked the messy look it gave so I just went with it!!!

While the giraffe was drying I pulled out some cute baby pattern paper and die cut it with a rectangle die. I used the Clear Sparkle Pen to coat the pattern paper. I kept it light because the paper is thin. I wrapped the panel with twine and tied it in a bow and then added the panel to a white card base.

From white card stock I cut a small banner and stamped the Wildly Cute sentiment. I fussy cut the giraffe out and added him and the sentiment with foam tape.

Enjoy The Little Things

Hiya!!!

This is my second post today, click here for my Art Impressions post.

I hope everyone is having a great week so far! It's starting to get hot and humid again here, so no crafting for my until the weekend when it's supposed to cool down!!! Today I have a card I made for Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge, the theme this month is Anything Goes! But it ends tomorrow so you have to hurry to play along too!!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Simon Says Stamp
I started by die cutting a stitched rectangle from watercolor card stock. Then I used Simon Says Stamp Spring Flowers and stamping the flowers and leaves in brown ink. To color, I used Gansai Tanbi watercolors and I tried to not blend the colors but to hopefully get a nice watercolor look!

Once everything was dry I mixed some of the purple and water and flicked it over the panel. While that was drying I pulled out SSS Lovely Spring stamp set and matching dies. I die cut the banner and stamped the matching sentiment banner.

I added the banner to the watercolor panel, then adhered the panel to a Kraft card base. Last I added a few gold sequins that were from a very old SSS kit.
