Make It Monday - Thank You's

Hello,

Whew what a week!! Classes started this week, plus i had to finish a wedding gift, go to the wedding and at work we went paperless this week. I am so glad i get a day off tomorrow!

Today i have 2 cards, both thank you cards. The 1st one is for PTI's Make it Monday. The second is for a coworker who donated tickets for a silent action we have been having at work to raise money for breast cancer. The 1st card is for the coworkers mother who also donated tickets.

I used the marigold from Year of Flowers Collection, stamping them in brown ink on rustic cream cardstock. I colored them colored pencils and distressed the edges. Then i matted this on dark orange paper and sewed around the edge with brown thread. I wrapped twine around this and adhered it with a button. I stamped thanks three times on a tiny tag.

Next i adhered the rectangle to a autumn pattern paper with pop up dots. Then i adhere this to my card base.

For my next card i cut the guitar out of red, black, blue, green and orange cardstock. I used versamark and iridescent embossing powder on the black guitar. Then i stamped a modern red rectangle and stamped thanks inside. Next i used a couple different stamps to make the background, using white ink on black cardstock. I added a strip of pattern paper with sheet music.

I adhered the guitars over the sheet music with pop up dots and add the sentiment to the bottom right.

Have a great holiday!!

Dana

  1. Dana these are two fantastic cards! I love the marigolds on that great Fall patterned paper. The stitching adds the perfect touch. And the guitar card totally rocks! I must CASE that card. Love everything about it.
