Sunday's Bits & Pieces 24
Happy Sunday!
I have a quick little card that i made from my scrap bin. But first i just want to remind you that today is the last day to leave a comment in the Shaping Up Blog Hop and Giveaway. Click here to see the post and comment!
Ok now on to the card! I used a blue card base and a sentiment stamped in black. All the other elements i found in my scrap bin. I don;t have many extra elements since moving and i think i have used almost all on this card, lol!
I found the note card die cut and added this to my cardbase with pop up dots. The flowers were already stamped, i just cut each out and added to the bottom right. I also already had a couple clouds die cut and added those at the top of the note card.
Last i used a small butterfly punch, from some scrap pink cardstock. I added it to the flower with a tiny pink pearl. I also use a piece of scrap green and a circle punch to make the leaves.
Using elements and scraps is super easy and a time saver!! I hope this inspires you to make a card with nothing but your bits & pieces!!
Have a great day!!

**Click here to see my Shaped Up Blog Hop & Giveaway post!! (there's prizes!!!)
Its time for Papertrey Ink's monthly Blog Hop and we have this photo for inspiration:
I really like these colors, very summery!! I had a good friend who needed a Bachelorette card and she wanted a denim/white eyelet trim, country chic card. I had the eyelet part, but wasn;t really sure what do to, until i saw this picture, i knew these colors would go great with a denim color and white eyelet trim.
First i had to come up with some denim. I recently moved and didn;t keep my denim fabric. But i came up with what i think is a good alternative. I used some blue textured cardstock and PTI Linen impression plate. Before running it through my Big Shot, i inked up the impression plate with white pigment ink. I used an older ink pad, i didn;t want major coverage just the hint of white. You can kind of see it in the picture, but it looks really good in person!!
Next i stamped and embossed the flower image in white, along with the sentiment 'celebrate.' Then i did the flowers again on white cardstock. I used all the colors in the inspiration picture to color the flowers. I just pressed each ink pad onto a clear blog and used a little water and a paint brush to color the flowers and leaves.
I then cut out each flower and leave and adhered them to the card. I added a bit of white eyelet trim around the blue panel and last added some alpha stickers to spell lets.
Since this card is for a Bachelorette party, i used 'lets celebrate' on the front and on the inside stamped 'the bride'
Thanks so much for stopping by!

****************************************************************************************************
Instead of doing just one shaped card, i did 4 MINI shaped cards!! I think these make the perfect little love notes!
I used the biggest butterfly die (that i have anyway!) from Papertrey Ink. I pulled out a piece of cardstock and laid the butterfly at one edge. I marked the cardstock just a little bigger then the die, this is my fold line. I moved the butterfly to the other side of the line and made another mark, this is where i cut my cardstock.
After folding the cardstock, i placed the die over the fold so just a tiny bit of the top wings are past the fold. I ran it through the Big Shot several times (twice is not enough).
Once the cards were cut i used the remaining cardstock and embossed it with an impression plate. Then i die cut 4 butterflies. I used the matching stamp and and stamped each butterfly with a different color.
Next i stamped the Love You stamp, inked it up and stamped it 4 times. I cut each by hand and made a tiny tag out of them. I adhered each die cut butterfly to a butterfly card. A little bit of the top wings will overhang, you only notice if you look at the back.
I created a loop from twine and placed the loop between the two wings on the inside of the mini card, wear the antenna would be. I threaded one tail with the tiny tag, then pulled both tails up through the loop. I added a pop up dot behind the tiny tag to keep it in place.
These were super easy! I went with soft colors, but you can do them in any colors!

Sunday's Bits & Pieces #23
Good Morning!!
I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday! So far today i have a couple cards to share, i hope to have a few more for Papertrey Ink Stamp-a-faire! Yesterday was busier then had planned so i was only able to do one card yesterday. I hope to do a couple more, get some pics and post them today!
The 1st card i made for Sunday's Bits & Pieces, a card mad just from extra embellishments and scraps. And this card is made just from scrap paper. I wanted to make a card from the stamp set and use a particular stamp, so i dug through my scraps and used some pattern kraft paper.
I die cut the keys and lock from pattern paper, it is a nice light kraft color with a white graph. I then inked up the matching stamps and stamped each key and lock. Next i trimmed the flower pattern paper to fit my Kraft cardbase and inked the edges, I also stamped the sentiment at the bottom.
The pattern on the paper luckily was clear enough for my sentiment, otherwise i would have had to come up with something to stamp on first and i didn;t have anything in extra in my embellishment drawer.
I punch two wholes at the top and threaded twine through each hole. Then i added the keys a couple on each side and last added the lock. Then i tied the twine in a bow. I also added just a touch of glossy accents to the bow, so that way if someone undid the bow they would loose the keys!
Last i adhered the panel to the cardbase. I also just got a new camera that i am using, so i only have one good picture of this card, but i did better with the next one! :)
My next card i made for Papertrey Ink Stamp-a-faire, make and take, i used the small flower in the Natural Beauties stamp set, then i experimented with the inks, i preferred using Hibiscus Burst and Pure Poppy, i didn't think that Raspberry Fizz created very much contrast.
I left off the tiny orange flowers, because i felt that the there was enough to the pattern, at least to my liking! :) I scored the vellum twice at the top and bottom and a used a new sentiment.
I will have a table at a craft sale this coming Saturday at a Church Palooza and wanted to have some cards with religious sentiments and so i was at Hobby Lobby earlier to get a few, since i'm not religious i really don;t have much in my stamp collection. So the next few cards will have those new sentiment stamps that i picked up.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Truckin Magnets
Hi!
Today i have a card for you that i made almost a year ago! I'm busy making new cards and learning a new camera so i dug through my photos and found a card i made for a friends son birthday last year. But first i have some exciting news. Most of the the girls from the Papercrafts Gallery Idol Top 20 are getting together for a Blog Hop!!
We are getting together to share our love for card making!! There will be lots inspiration and giveaways!! Details are being finalized but i think everyone will be able to link up a newly made card too!! Our theme is shaped cards, this is also Papercrafts July Challenge, so you can try your luck with that challenge too! Make sure you stop by Monday July 23rd for all the wonderful cards and details on all the prizes!!
Now on to the card!! I made this card for a super sweet boy, who happens to be the son of a great friend of mine.
As you can see i cut a circle out of the center of my card. I placed a clear sealable bag on the inside of the card, this is to hold the little truck magnets that i made. I used pattern paper all from one collection. Die cut the trucks from a thin magnet sheet, die cut the pattern paper and stamped the truck images. I adhered the pattern paper to the magnet sheet and wha-la cute little magnets
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow with a Hampton Art card and will be participating in Papertrey Ink's Stamp-a-faire this weekend!

Sunday's Bits & Pieces #22
Hi there!
So i had a bunch of cards that i needed to get pics of, so out to the back yard with the cards, white poster board and my camera. I took about 30ish pics, got back in to download to my computer and guess what?!?! only 5 pictures!!!Yep!! Soooo found another card... and again same thing, so it looks like its time for a new camera! This one has lasted about 8 years, so it has had a nice run!!
I started to do some research, and there are a TON of cameras out there!! I used my moms camera for todays card, and know that i have to find something similar to what i have, her camera is only 5 optical zoom and i had a hard time really getting a close up of the strawberry's, i really wish it was closer. If you have any camera suggests, i'd love to hear them.... please!! :)
Now on the the card. I am linking this up to CAS-ual Friday's and this week challenge is strips. I had trouble sleeping friday, and sometime after midnight the idea popped in my head, use tiny strips of paper and die cut it.
First i started with a double sided adhesive sheet. Next i went to my paper scraps and cut a bunch of tiny strips from pink/red and green scraps. Then i peeled one side of the adhesive sheet and randomly placed the pink strips all in a row on the sheet. I did the same with the green strips.
Then i die cut the strips with a strawberry die, i also die cut 2 strawberry's and greenery from white cardstock. I used these to adhere my striped strawberrys to, it helped make the striped strawberry more stable. I did the same with the greenery, but you could just adhere it straight on top of the strawberry, but i liked the additional dimension the cardstock layer gave the greenery.
Next i stamped sweet and birthday wishes on my cardbase. I adhered one strawberry to the card and the other with pop up dots!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Papertrey Ink: Make It Monday #73
Hi!
I have a card for this weeks Papertrey Ink Make it Monday. I made this card earlier this week and wanted to get it up soon after, but we had a garage sale and i got busy getting that ready and sweltering for 2 days, but it was worth it!! And because of the garage sale and plans i had today i wasn't able to get a Bits & Pieces card ready, but i'll have one next Sunday!!
This weeks Make it Monday is about stamping on pattern paper. I love stamping on pattern paper, so i used a new background stamp on my card. I used some Authentique pattern paper and white embossing powder with the background stamp.
Next i used some PTI dies and stamps for the sentiment. I also used a Rolodex die and cut out some flowers to go around the sentiment. I also used a little bit of white twill ribbon. Last i rounded the corners.
Thanks for stopping by!

Sunday's Bits & Pieces #21
Hello!!
*** WARNING**** Super long post!! ****** :)
So now that i've moved and have most of my craft stuff up and running i can start back to doing my weekly Bits & Pieces each Sunday. For anyone who doesn’t; know each Sunday (before the moving craziness!!) i would make a card just from paper scraps and/or extra embellishments. I have a ton of embellishments and do-dads that don’t make it onto cards, so i am doing this as a way to use that up!
Now my extra embellishment drawer had to get packed up, there is no room in my mom's craft room. So i just pulled a few sheets of scraps from each color and figured before long i would have plenty of extra embellishments to work with! And i did! I did a few cards this week and several elements and scraps went into my scrap bin.
Before i show you my card, i thought i would show you my new crafting area. Sadly i didn’t take a picture before i moved, but let’s say it was a lot bigger, it was in nook in my bedroom and i had 2 desks, filing systems, shelves... lots of space!! But now that i have moved in with my mom to get my school done, space is limited.
First up is an overall pic (sorry about the lighting!! and spelling!! Didn't notice it when i was adding the text!) My mom found this awesome 50's kitchen table and took measurements and before i moved i had everything done just like you see it in TN, so i would know what i could get on the desk and what would have to be packed or staying in the car.
I have my PTI/Ranger Inks in a wood shelf (got it at a garage sale ages ago) I also have a lazy susan that holds all my tools and i have the majority of my dies in 2 binders. I got this storage idea here, and it works great for me, especially when space is limited!!
Next pic shows the storage i have under my desk. Originally this bin had all my cross stitch fabric, but that had to get packed away. So i found some storage bins at Target that fit inside each drawer, i can get 3 to a drawer, and each bin holds my clear and cling stamps that are stored in CD cases. The smaller bin has cardbases, envelops and stickers. On top of my stickers sits a small bin that has my scraps.
This next photo shows the rack better, it has a lot of stuff on it!! This is the stuff i use most when making cards, pop up dots, glitter glue, clear blocks, twine, adhesive tape... etc
Last i have a small shelf next to my desk that holds the solid cardstock and Kraft. Next to that are 2 crystal clear drawers that have brads, buttons flowers rhinestones etc by color. Originaly each color had a drawer, but since space is limited, i got 2 colors in each drawer. 3 other drawers are on the second and third shelf. On the top shelf sitting on the drawers is a 3 layer plastic case that has my Studio G pigment ink and PTI's ink refills.
I also have a bin for my punches and misc embellishments are scattered where they would fit. The last shelf (really the floor) has my box of Hampton Art goodies and next to that more bins that hold background stamps, big dies, and my alphabets.
Now this is not all of my stuff, i have at least 10 more 12 x 12 plastic holders that has all my pattern paper. Since i will not have much money to buy more supplies i want to use what i have so all my pattern paper is in my car (wagon, not a sedan). I also have several plastic shoe box like cases that have glitter, more cards and envelopes, small supply of fabric and all my 6x6 paper. I also store my ribbon in clear cookie jars, and those are in a couple boxes, also in my car. So when i need some glitter, ribbon or pattern paper, out to my car i go! When I’m done, it goes back out to my car!
Next up is today's card. So i do have some extra embellishments, not a lot, but i was able to make a cute card. I used some scrap paper, edged with white ink and added it to my cardbase.
I already had the flowers die cut that didn't get used on my earlier project. I had some stickles on one flower so i added it to the others. Then i found a strip of kraft, added some white dash lines and stamped the sentiment in white. I left the right end ragged. Adhered the strip to the card and added the flowers with pop up dots!
LOL are you still with me!?!? Thanks so much for stopping by!!
