Hello!
Today is Papertrey Ink January Blog Hop! The challenge this morning is to make a card with a black background.
I decided to make it a valentine card and i am also entering it in Moxie Fab's Window Challenge. This card came to me as i was falling a sleep one night.
I started with my cardbase and a heart die. I die cut the heart multiple times across the card (keep the bottom part that is now not attached). Next i adhered a piece of transparency to the top part of cardbase.
Then i used a couple heart stamps to stamp on the transparency. I placed the bottom cardbase piece on the transparency, lining it up with the inside or back of the cardbase. DON'T adhere this bottom piece yet, just use it a s a guide as you stamp the hearts in the heart spaces made from the die.
Next stamp and emboss your sentiment on the bottom piece. I went with gold and i also added some gold pearl like embellishments randomly across the hearts. Once your sentiment is embossed you can adhere the bottom piece to the transparency. Last trim the transparency and round two of the corners. Oh and i added a piece of white cardstock to the inside of the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!!
Dana

Love this card and the technique. Aren't you smart to use this with the black background, because it makes the luminous pink hearts all the more striking with the black surround. (I wonder if this would look as good on vellum?)
