Hiya!!
Today i'm sharing a The Alley Way Stamps card from my card pile (its slowly getting smaller, but there are still lots of cards to share!) Meanwhile i'm enjoying this little mini-break from card making, and i say mini break because i have completed a DT card last week along with a special card and this weekend i will start thinking about the TAWS September release!! But other then that i'm not making any more new cards until i through my card pile!! :)
This card features a stamp from one of the new August release!! I also played a little with a stencil, i started by placing the stencil over my Kraft card base. I inked the dots with blue distress ink. Then i moved the stencil a little and with a white opaque pen traced the dots.
Next i stamped the big flower from the new Flower Show set on Kraft and embossed it with white embossing powder. Then i thought i would see what coloring copics on Kraft would look like, sufice to say it didn;t really make a difference. To me it looks like i used a watermark marker, but in fact i used a light and dark purple Copics, but you don't really see the purple, but i like how it looked so i went with it!!
After cutting the flowers out i die a PTI tag from Kraft cardstock. I added a little bit of white ribbon and twine to the top of the tag. I added the tag to my card base with foam dots and then added the flowers.
Have a great day!!
Dana

Your kraft card is so pretty! The colours are subtle, but still visible and the white embossed flowers are eye-catching delights. They remind me of swirly candies! Fabulous card, my friend! Hope you get through the 'stash' quickly, because I'm guessing you're about ready to start creating anew!

Hi Dana! I'm so glad to have a chance to come for a visit and a catch-up with you! Your "card pile" is hecka inspirational and delightful! You make it seem so easy, but we both know your "effortless" works of art take time, creativity, and talent! I'm glad you have cards to share with us while you take a bit of a restorative break! Enjoy!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat idea with the stencil! Gotta try that. Fun layout too - I love the look of colour on kraft!
