Hello!
I'm popping in with a card I made for Virginia's View Challenge! I was searching for some inspiration and found that the challenge has a link up party, with the theme of any type of friendship card. My card is for a friend that is a little down and needs some cheering up!!
I started by die cutting a stitched rectangle from water color card stock. Then I pulled out a Hero Arts stamp set that has been gathering dust, Layering Bird and Branch. I started with the bird using Papertrey Ink's Hawaiian Shores, Aqua Mists and Ocean Tides. For the beak, eyes and feet I used Smokey Shadow.
For the flowers I used Hero Arts Bubble Gum and Raspberry Jam inks and for the leaves Field Greens, and Forever Greens. I used PTI's Dark Chocolate for the branch and sentiment.
Last I added white sequins and then adhered the panel to a Kraft card base. The card is flat enough and even with the sequins I think it will go through the mail well enough!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Peace Comes From Within
Hello!
This is my second post today, if you are looking for my Art Impression post click here.
Today I have a project featuring some new stamps available at Crafter's Companion! Sheena Douglass is releasing a few great Day of the Dead stamps! My project features the flowers from the Floral Fiesta stamp set. I am also entering this in Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes!
These flowers can be used for any occasion, and I used them on a wall decor. I found a wood box frame thing, on clearance at the craft store. It's basically a wood frame with both the front and back with a thin sheet of wood, it was painted black and had a fancy sentiment of some sort on top.
I placed the box over some water color card stock and traced around it with a pencil. Then cut out the square with my trimmer. Next I scribbled Orange, Aquamarine and Heather Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers on a palette, added water and painted the colors all around on my water color square.
While that was drying I stamped the flowers several times. Then I used my Spectrum Nori Markers to color them all up. I used BT7, CR11, CR10, HB2, HB3, IB2, IB3, LV3, OR2, OR3. Then I fussy cut all the flowers.
When the water coloring was dry I stamped the sentiment from Sheena Douglass Taste of India Mandala stamp set. Next I used double sided adhesive to adhere the water color square to the box frame. Last I added the flowers.
Here is a picture of it hanging on the wall!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Love
Hello AI fans!!
Today I'm on the Art Impressions blog with a cute card that is all about the love!! My card today uses the newer clear stamp set In The Air! Even though the set has Valentine sentiments, you can use the images with any love theme sentiments you might have or in my case with a sentiment die!
I started with some water color card stock and trimmed it to fit a 4.25 x 5.5 inch card base. Then I used Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick Distress Ink to make my water color background. When these colors where dry I used a little bit of black soot and water to flick some black dots on the background.
When the everything was dry I cut the panel with a Lawn Fawn Love Sentiment Die. Then I cut the same die from black card stock. Next i added the water color panel to a white card base and then inlaid the black Love into the negative space left from the first cut.
Next I stamped adorable little skunks, who are making a heart with there tails (awww), and used my Spectrum Noir markers to color them. Then I fussy cut them out and added them to my card base with foam tape.
I thought the card need just a little something more, so first I rounded the corners and I found some heart stickers which I added to the card with foam tape.
Now you can stamp the inside with any kind of greeting that you need, like anniversary, just because or special birthday!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Thinking of You
Hello!
Today Sara Davies Signature Collection - Floral Delight is now available at Crafter's Companion!! This collection is full of great pattern papers, embossing folders and dies!!
Today's card starts with the Rambling Rose embossing folder and Scarlet, Orchid and Moss Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers. I used the markers to color the flowers and leaves on the side that the flowers and leaves were the grooves. Next I spritzed a little bit of water, too much and the colors blend too much, and not enough water the color doesn't go anywhere.
Next I placed a piece of Crafter's Companion Watercolor card stock in the embossing and carefully closed it, I then immediately ran it through my die cutting machine. I had my machine already to go, you want the ink and water to soak in as its being as embossed.
Remove the embossed panel from the folder and set aside to dry. Next I used Pretty Petals die's and cut some black flowers. Before I removed the metal dies, I used versamark in and inked in the little lines the dies has, I made sure I really got the ink in there. Then I popped the flowers out and added white embossing powder and heated it.
I cut a strip of black card stock and and then stamped the sentiment from Downton Abbey's A Moment In Time stamp set. I also heat embossed it and then notched one of the ends. Next I trimmed the embossed panel and adhered it to a white card base. Then I added the sentiment strip and then the flowers.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Hello!!
If you are looking for my Art Impressions post, click here!
This is my second post today! I have a little sneak peek of Crafter's Companion Floral Delight Signature Collection by Sara Davies! The collection will be available on the website tomorrow!!
My card today features the 6 x 6 pattern paper pad and the Pretty Petals and Scallop Border dies. I started by adding the pretty flower pattern paper to a white card base. Then I cut the Scallop Border die from some purple polka dot pattern in the paper pad and added it to my card.
For a sentiment I pulled out Moonbeam Meadow Hugs & Kisses stamp set and stamped the sentiment in the bottom right corner of the border.
Next I picked out a couple other patterns that matched the flower pattern, along with the purple pattern and used the Pretty Petals die to cut several flowers from each pattern. With my fingers I lightly curled all the flowers petals.
I added the flowers to my card, layering some of the smaller ones one the larger flowers. To finish it off i added some rhinestones to the flower centers.
Thanks for stopping by!! I'll be back tomorrow with another card featuring products from this new Signature Collection!!

Art Impressions Challenge #182 - Show Off Your Stamp
Hello!!
There is still time to play along with Art Impressions Challenge #182. The challenge is pretty simple, just show off your stamp with your card!! Easy right!!!
I used the new Get Well Clear Stamp Set that is now available at Michael's! I started with a Papertrey Ink Tag Sale #11, it looks like a luggage tag, but I thought it also looks like a cell phone!!! So I first die cut it from black card stock and then again from watercolor card stock. From the watercolor tag i trimmed around the inside piece, that tag embosses a line around this interior area, so i just cut along that line.
Next I stamped the nurse from the Get Well set on the cut water color piece. Then I used my Distress Markers to color her. I stamped the Get Well Soon (Now) sentiment above the nurse. I added this piece to the black tag.
I decided to use some older My Minds Eye pattern paper, I only have a few sheets left and some scraps. I'm getting really close to finishing this paper pad, which will be a first!!! Anyway, I die cut a small stitched rectangle from a polka dot pattern.
Then I cut a panel of some other smaller polka dot paper and cut about an inch or so from the left side of that panel, so now i have two pieces. I added a blue wood grain pattern to my card base, then added the smaller polka dot piece to the left side and the bigger piece to the right. I added the stitched rectangle and then the stamped 'cell phone.' Last i added a few black sequins.
Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope you will play along with us at the Art Impressions challenge!!

Strike Up Some Fun!
Hello!!
Today i'm on the Art Impression blog with a card for that guy bowler in your life!! I think this card would be a great birthday card or even a just because card, just stamp the right occasion on the inside along with your personal message!! I used one of the new clear sets available at Michael's, Spare Me SC0680.
I started by die cutting a panel of pattern paper and i added it to a white card base. Then from the same paper pad i picked out another pattern and cut it with a note page die. I also cut some white card stock with the same die.
Then i stamped the guy bowler on the note page and on some scrap white paper. I also stamped him on some other pattern papers, fussy cutting out his shirt and pants. The patterns, i thought at least, were perfect for a bowling outfit!!!)
On the scrap piece i colored his skin and the bowing ball with my Spectrum Noir markers, then added the fussy cut shirt and pants. Next i fussy cut him out, then added him over the stamped note page image with foam tape.
I stamped the sentiment at the top right of the note page and then added both pages to my card base with foam tape. I also found a tiny little paper clip and added it to my pages.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Here's To Love
Hello!!
I'm on the Art Impressions blog today with a card idea that can help to stretch your stamps. Today's card features the stamp set Love and Chocolate and technically it is in the Valentine's area of the AI shop! BUT you don;t have to use this for only Valentine's day card!! The set it self dosen;t mention valentine's and the sentiment that does come with the image is great for any kind of day that you want to express your love, you know, like anniversary, just because, world chocolate day etc!!!
I started by stamped the Love and Chocolate image on some water color paper and then used my Distress Markers to color it in. Next i did a little fussy cutting (don't forget to run black marker around the edges).
Next i die cut a heart from red card stock and cut a strip of Kraft card stock. I added the Kraft, then the heart, trimming off a bit of the heart that went over the edge. The heart die i used by Little B comes with a few extra pieces so can add some faux stitching around the heart die cut, this adds some nice interest and texture to the card!!
Then i just added the colored image with foam tape and then stamped the sentiment in the top right corner! Easy Peasy, especially helpful if your in a time crunch, like when you forget an anniversary!!!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Ship Happens
Hello!
I'm sharing my second card today, i made it for Unity Show & Tell Photo Challenge. The photo inspiration has these colorful raindrops and which reminded me that i have a raindrop stencil that would go great with Unity's Ship Happens stamp set!
I started with a navy blue card base and then placed the rain drop stencil over it. I inked the stencil with an ink applicator and white pigment ink. Then i set the card base aside to dry.
Next i cut a circle from water color paper and stamped the image on it. The sentiment is all on one line, which i didn't want. So i selectively ink each word to get then staggered.
I used my Crafter's Companion AquaBlend watercolor pencils to color the image, then added water to it to create the lovely textured watercolor.
I added the circle with foam tape to my card base and then added a few white and blue sequins. Last i rounded the corners.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Have a Sweet Birthday
Hello!
I got a bit of crafting done this past weekend! To help get my mojo back i picked a couple challenges to play at, along with using some stamps that have been sitting around (for some time, haha!) waiting to be used!! I have two cards and the deadlines are coming up soon, so today i'll have two posts!
The first card i made for Landscaping Challenge - Beautiful Florals and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Happy Birthday!!!
First i die cut the circle flowers from water color card stock with Waffle Flower Flower Circle Die. Then i used Distress Markers Aged Mahogany, Rusty Hinge, and Peeled Paint. I smooshed each color onto each of the three flowers.
I used the flowers as a guide, so i would know here i would stamp the cacti, pots and flowers. Then i stamped the sentiment, splitting it up among the three flowers by selectivity inking and stamping.
After the flowers were dry i added them with foam tape. I decided to leave the flowers and only trim the flower that hung over at the bottom. Then i rounded each of the corners.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Butterfly
Hello!!
Today Crafter's Companion is releasing Sara Davies Signature Collection - Butterfly Lullaby on their US website! My project today features some of these new goodies!!
I made an ornament that would make a great gift for a butterfly lover! Way back when i picked up some wood ornaments from the clearance rack. First i covered the wood ornament with a sheet of pattern paper from the 6 x 6 Butterfly Lullaby paper pad. I used some Dusty Concord Distress Ink to ink around the edges.
Next i used the 3D Oval Butterfly die and cut it from CC's Shimmering Card Stock White Pearl and from CC's Watercolor Card Stock. From the white pearl i carefully cut out the butterfly from the middle and set both aside.
From the watercolor oval, i cut the butterfly out and with CC's Spectrum Noir Aqua Orchid Marker i scribbled it on a clear block. I added some water then pressed the butterfly into it, i let it dry, then did it again with the left over ink.
While the butterfly was drying i did the same with with some of the tiny flowers you get when you use the die. Some of flowers i colored directly with the Orchid marker. When they were dry i added purple glitter to the White Pearl flowers and Liquid Pearl to the watercolor flowers.
Next i added the White Pearl oval to my ornament, then added the purple watercolor butterfly. Then i added the flowers, some directly to the ornament and some with foam tape.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Art Impressions Challenge # 181
Hello!!
It the second week of Art Impressions Challenge #181 - Add a Brad. AI is also celebrating a new release die! His and Her Utility Dies, so fun and unique dies!! My card features the Utility Die for Her!
I started by die cutting the base part of the tool, don't know what it is called but that is what i'm going with, from some pink flower pattern paper. Then i cut all the tools from some metallic grey card stock. I cut some black card stock to 6 inches x 6 inches and placed the base tool in the middle and traced just the two ends.
Next i placed the different die tools at my traced ends, moving them around until i had them were i liked them. With washi tape i held two of the dies down, one on each end, then ran it through my die cutting machine. Then removed those and placed the next two dies down, i did this until all of tool dies were cut.
Now my black panel has lots tool shaped holes!!! I adhered this panel to a 6 x 6 white card base, then added the grey tools into there matching cut outs. Were the brad goes, i cut that part in half and fit two of the tools together. This will be hidden by the base tool and i didn;t want a build up of three layers of card stock.
After all the tools were inlaid i added two black brads to the base tool after stamping the sentiments in it. Then i added it the card with foam dots.
Last i stamped the remaining sentiments in versamark and then heat embossed them white. Oh, i almost forgot, for the scissor tool i added a black enamel dot to were a brad would go!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you will play along with our Add a Brad challenge!!
