Hello!
I can't believe it's June already!! Of course with June comes Father's day and I start thinking about all the manly cards I should make!! Today I'm on the Art Impressions blog with a fairly easy but interesting card to share. Sometimes after coloring your image you just want to make a card without getting bogged down with some technique heavy!!
I started with the Bug Buster stamp set, this is a perfect set to have on hand, could easily be a father's day card or a birthday card!! I stamped the image on white cardstock and then used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color it up! I used EB6, FS4, FS6, FS9, IG2, IG4, IG6, IG10, TB3, TB4, TB8, TB9, True Black. Then I used sharp scissors and fussy cut him out.
From a strip of white cardstock, I stamped the sentiment in black ink. Then I made a white card base. From my paper stash, I found a white wood grain and added it to the card. From the same stack, I found some blue polka dot pattern that matched. To make it interesting I added the sheet with one corner pointing down at about the middle of the card. Super duper easy, but adds a little interest being at an angle and having two patterns!
I added the sentiment strip across the card with foam tape and then added the image on top, also with foam tape. Since this is a more manly card I left off any embellishments!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Dana
