Hello!!
I'm here with a second post today! This card features one of The Alley Way Stamps new April releases, Feeling Groovy!
First i stamped the big tie die stamp in orange, red and blue ink to create my background. I rotated each stamp slightly and stamped them again before reinking (its a bit hard to see).
Next i stamped the hippie dude and colored him with copic markers, then cut him out. I stamped the sentiment on a strip of orange card stock and then added it to my card with foam tape.
I added the hippie to one side and last added three white enamel dots!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Art Impressions Challenge #157 Make Me Smile
Hello!
A new challenge is going up on the Art Impressions blog!! The challenge - Make Me Smile!!! The design team is featuring some amazing new stamps called Big Mouths!! Unfortunately my package with the new releases has made it yet (stay tuned, though i'll show off these stamps next week!!!) so instead of the new stamps i used a super cute stamp that makes ME smile, Spectacular!
I stared by die cutting a stitched oval from some watercolor paper. Then i stamped the adorable mouse with the big classes. I used distress markers to color the mouse, by coloring the marker on a clear block, diluting it with water, then applying the color with a small paint brush.
Next i used some new pattern paper, trimming the sides so it is framed by the white card base. I added the oval with foam tape, then stamped the sentiment below it.
Last i rounded the corners and added some mint enamel dots! I have so many enamel dots i don't even have to worry that i'll not have anything that matches!! (Yes, my name is Dana and i'm an enamel dot hoarder collector!! hehehehehe!)
Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope you will play along with us at Art Impressions! I look forward to seeing your creations!!

Our Home to Yours
Hello!!
Today is my first post over on the Art Impressions blog!! Yay!! I used one of the new Tryfold stamps sets and did some easy masking !!
Today is my first post over on the Art Impressions blog!! Yay!! I used one of the new Tryfold stamps sets and did some easy masking !!
I started by stamping one of the houses off set from the center. Then i stamped the left and right sides of the stamp on a full sticky post it note. I don't bother reinking the stamp, there's enough ink left to still get a good image. Next i cut out both sides and covered up their perspective sides.
I stamped the other two houses on each side of first house. Peal off the post it notes and wa-la two houses behind my first house!
To keep things simple (and more interesting, i think anyway) i only colored the first house that stamped (the middle house). Whenever i'm in the mood to color but don;t have time too i use Inktense pencils and a colorless Copic marker to color my image! Its really easy (and fast!) to do! I just color the image with the pencils and then use the colorless blender to blend the color. This will stain your nib so beware!! It doesn't bother me, but just a heads up in case it bothers you! :)
To finish i stamped the sentiment, trimmed the panel, wrapped some twine around and tied it in a bow. I added the panel to some blue card stock, then a white card base. Last i added a few blue sequins!!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Addicted to Stamps Challenge #139
Hello!!
Its time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More!! This week the challenge is CAS (Clean and Simple) and our sponsor is STAMPlorations, i'm using a digi they provided to the Design Team!
I started by printing the digi on some white card stock. I cut it out with Lawn Fawn Stitched rectangle and added it to a white card base with foam tape.
Next i used a few solid flower stamps from the Alley Way Stamps. I colored up one at a time with distress markers, then spritz it with pearlized water and stamped them on white card stock (not watercolor paper). I repeated it many more times until i had a bunch of flowers.
Then i arranged the flowers around the sentiment and adhered them to my card. I decided against adding enamel dots or sequins, figured less was more and since the challenge is CAS the less the better!
I hope you will play along with us and I look forward to see your CAS creations!!

Don't Worry Be Hippie
Hello!!
How is everyone doing? I did a little crafting this weekend, trying to work ahead! Today i have a card to share featuring the new Alley Way Stamps Feeling Groovy stamp set!!
I started with a background that i had already made some time ago. I ways using stencils, distress inks and water to make some backgrounds and i used a few extra panels to 'mop' up the left over ink. This is one of those extra panels, i thought it works great for a hippie like background!!
Next i stamped the cute Volkswagen on some watercolor paper. I also stamped a couple of the tiny stamps that fit in the licence plate, across the front of the wagon and the steering wheel. Then i colored it with distress markers and cut it out.
Then i found some brown card stock and free hand cut to make a hill for the wagon. I added the ground and the wagon to the panel with foam tape. Last i stamped the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Light It Up Blue For Autism Awareness Blog Hop
*** This is my second post of the day, if you are looking for my The Alley Way Stamps post, click here ****
Hello!Welcome to the Light It Up Blue For Autism Awareness Blog Hop! I'm participating because Autism has been in my life since i was old enough to understand what it is. You might be thinking i have a child with Autism or maybe a sibling with Autism but that is not the case. Its a part of my life through my Mom.
Even before i was born my Mom has worked with a variety of cognitively impaired individuals, from low functioning children/adults to students who are just below normal IQ, to downs syndrome individuals to autistic individuals and probably everything in between.Over the years she has worked in many CI class rooms from Elementary to High School. I've had the great opportunity to volunteer with these children/adults throughout my life, along with hearing all the good and bad experiences that my mom has had.
Ok enough about me, on to the card!! I found this Mama Elephant set that has a great sentiment that i though was appropriate for the hop!! Because everyone needs a hug if they want one! (sometimes just standing by their side is enough!!)
I started by cutting a label shape out of white card stock, then stamped the little girl, she has here arms wide open! I also stamped some grass, flowers and a butterfly. I colored everything up with Copic markers.
Next i used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Rectangle die to cut a piece of blue card stock. I wrapped some cord around it, tying it in a bow. Then i added the the label to the panel with foam dots.
I stamped the sentiment 'I'll be here if you need a hug' in black ink below the bow. Last i added the blue panel to a white card base!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Oh Snap!
Hello!!
Just stopping by with a card that features one of The Alley Way Stamps new Release stamp sets, Blast Off!
I started with a purple card base and laid a star stencil over it. With a opaque white charcoal pencil i colored in all the tiny little stars. Next i cut out three rounded squares from white card stock and stamped the cute little aliens from the Blast Off set. I colored them up with Copic markers.
Next i adhered the squares to my card base with foam dots. Then i stamped the Oh Snap under the 3rd square. I thought the card still needed a little something so i stamped one of the small stars, cut it out and colored it with a yellow distress marker. Last i added it next to the sentiment with a foam dot.
And wa-la an easy little card to send an alien loving someone!!
Thanks for stopping by!!
