I started my card off by stamping the three ladies on the bench. Then i colored them up with Copic markers. Next i fussy cut around them, but not all the way. I stopped just below the bench.

Next i wrapped some twine around the colored panel, just under the ladies feet. Below this i stamped one of the many sentiments in the set! I just LOVE this sentiment, its so funny!!

I found some great cloud pattern paper and thought it was a great back drop to the ladies. I imagine them outside on a clear and crisp day, just talking, laughing and having fun!! I trimmed the pattern paper to be the same width as the colored panel which is about 1/4 smaller then an A2 card base. I added the pattern paper to a white card base, then the colored panel with foam dots!

And this wouldn;t be a proper blog hop without a giveaway!

Art Impressions Challenge #162 Red White & Blue

Hello!

Today i'm joining the other ladies on the Art Impressions Design Team for the second week of the AI Red, White, Blue Challenge! You have a till Wednesday to play along and i hope you do!!

For my card i started with my background first. I used distress ink and a small clear acetate sheet to pick up the color and add it to a panel of water color paper. I have really been in the watercolor background mood and this was my first attempt, i have since gotten better in cards i have already shared on my blog. To add more interest the watercolor i added some water to the semi dry ink, which bled the ink out here and there.

Next i stamped the Art Impressions Eunice on some watercolor paper. I used distress markers to color her, then fussy cut her out. Then i die cut a stitched oval from some white card stock. I added Eunice with foam dots and added some ground at her feet.

I added the oval to my watercolored card with foam tape and then stamped the You're How Old?! sentiment in the bottom right corner. Last i added three white enamel dots.

Fairy Happy Birthday

Hello!!

I'm on the Art Impressions blog today with a Birthday card! You can never have too many Birthday cards, right?
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Art Impressions
I started with these black chevron pieces that were left over from a different project. They have been hanging out on my desk for awhile and i decided its time to use them!!

For the background i pulled out a white card base and used a purple distress ink and ink applicator to ink up the card base. Next i flicked water all over and then let it dry.

Meanwhile, i stamped the front Fairy Spinner on white card stock and colored her with Copic markers. I used a little (ok, really a lot! hehehe!) Wink of Stella on her dress, shoes, wand, wings, earrings and hat!

Then i used the matching Fairy Spinner Die to cut out the front fairy. I also cut a small banner from white card stock and stamp the sentiment from the set.

Then its all just a matter of assembling all the elements. First i adhered the black chevron pieces on my inked background. Then i added the fairy and banner with foam tape!

Rad

Hello!

Today i'm stopping with a card featuring The Alley Way Stamps! I used the new Lite Brite set for my sentiment. My card is a little different then my usual! I would call this a collage card, i'm typically not good at this style of card, so i really don;t know where this card came from!!

I started by added different washi tape and fabric tapes to a white card base. I went through my embellishments to see what i can add to my card and decided a a few different ones.

First i found a chipboard arrow. I used the triangles from Bitty Borders and heat embossed it with orange embossing powder. Then i found a wood heart, cork zig zag circle and a metal button.

For a sentiment i stamped the Rad from the Lite Brite on black card stock and embossed it with the same orange powder as the chipboard arrow.

I played the arrangement of all the embellishments and my sentiment, and when i was happy i adhered them down.

Snail Mail

Hello,

I'm popping in with a The Alley Way Stamps card! I used the June's new set Twinkle Toes and a some watercoloring! I am entering this in Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge: Use Your Favorite Technique or Product! Right now i am really loving watercoloring with acetate technique right now!!

I've really been in the mood for watercolored backgrounds! I used a small clear acetate sheet to pick up the ink and add it to a white card stock panel.

While my background dried i cut a small stitched rectangle and stamped the super cute snail from Twinkle Toes, along with a little squiggle line and sentiment. I colored the snail with Copics.

With the dried background panel i wrapped some white and silver twine around the panel (vertically, top to bottom) and tied it in a bow. Then i added the snail rectangle with foam tape. I adhered the panel to a red card base. Lat i added a few tiny silver sequins.
