Game On

Hello!

This is my second post today, click here if you are looking for my Art Impression's post!!

I was in a time crunch when i made this card, so i went with an easy technique, watercoloring!! First i stamped the domino's from the Old School set, all over a panel i cut from water color paper. I used the smoosh technique, letting each color dry before adding the next color.

I also stamped the sentiment Game On in the bottom left. I tried adding enamel dots and sequins, but decided neither was a good idea, but i felt it needed something!!

After working on another project, it came to me! Glitter glue! I added black glitter glue to each dot on each domino!! I love how it turned out!!

Art Impression Challenge - In With The New

Hello!

There is a new challenge going on over at Art Impression's blog!! The challenge is called In With the New, that means use the newest stamp in your stash!! We all have them, those ones you buy and just haven't used yet! Now is the time to use it!!

I'm using a stamp from the Live Love Laugh clear stamp set that is NEW at Hobby Lobby! First i used an old card die that cut a scallop card and i cut it from some purple polka dot card stock. The die also comes with a smaller scallop rectangle that fits the card, i used this to cut some watercolor paper.

Next i stamped the three ladies on the scalloped rectangle and used Distress Markers and some water to color them. Above them i stamped the sentiment Friends.

I added the rectangle panel with foam tape to the scalloped card base. It's a sweet and simple card to make, especially if your just in the mood to color!

Hello!!

I'm on the Art Imperssions blog today sharing a summer themed card! One thing i like about summer is being able to use the grill! It sure beats heating up the house with the oven and i get some tasty food to eat!! Today's card is a nice summer themed card to send to your significant other just because!

I started by stamping the BBQ Couple on watercolor paper and then colored them with Distress Markers, water and a paint brush. Fussy cut them out, then went through my pattern paper stash to find some paper to pair them with.

I settled on a three different patterns, when i mix pattern papers i keep in mind the rule of three, stay with three patterns. This is not to say you couldn;t use 4 patterns! I also like to vary the size of the patterns.

I cut a rectangle from some wood grain paper and roughed up the edges a little. Then i added the cooking couple to the rectangle with foam tape. I used some green pattern paper as a background and added it to a white card base. Then i cut a small piece of an orange pattern and added it behind the wood grain. I also added a strip of white at the bottom of the wood grain and stamped the Still Sizzlin sentiment. Last i added the wood grain panel to my card base.

Let's Fiesta

Hello!

I'm stopping in with a card today featuring The Alley Way Stamps Cha Cha Cha stamp set! I paired it with some awesome new pattern paper!!
Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
I started by trimming the triangle pattern paper to fit a white card base. Then i stamped the horse from the Cha Cha Cha set and colored him with Spectrum Noir markers. Sorry i couldn't find the my list with the markers i used! After coloring i fussy cut him out.

Next i used a Simon Says Stamp die to cut out some big and small circles. From that same pattern i cut a strip that i adhered accross my card with foam tape. This is the 'ground' for my horse, which i added with foam tape too.

Then i stamped the Let's Fiesta sentiment with white pigment ink on the biggest circle. I added several of the circles to the card some directly to the card and others with foam tape.

Happy Birthday

Hello!

I'm stopping in today with a The Alley Way Stamps card. I'm using the new stamp set Neener Neener, this months free with a $40 purchase stamp set. I also paired it with Face It, which happens to go great with it!! lol!!

I started by die cutting some balloons from white card stock. Then i stamped two faces from Neener Neener and two from Face It. With Copic and Spectrum Noir markers i colored the balloons.

Next i found a black card base and arranged them on it. When i was happy with the arrangement i used a white opaque pen to add the balloon strings. I added the balloons to the card with foam tape.

Last thing was to add a sentiment! I used the Happy Birthday from Rock Solid and stamped it in white pigment ink. It didn;t stamp as dark as i wanted so when the ink was dry i traced over with it the opaque pen.

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet
Our sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet! For my card i am using the Surfin' Santa image created by Stitchy Stamps. I love the Santa was hanging out on a surf board in swim trunks!!

I printed out Surfin' Santa on white card stock and colored him with Copic markers and then fussy cut around him.

Then i pulled out a white card base and placed a wave stencil over the bottom of the card. I masked off the top part of the stencil because i only wanted waves along the bottom of the card. Then i used three blue distress inks to color in the stencil.

Next i removed the mask and stencil, then added the Surfin' Santa to the card with foam tape. Above him i stamped Merry Christmas in black ink.
