A Meow-tain of Fun

I'm on the Art Impressions blog today with a card featuring one of the new Stacker stamps and die! All the stamps are super cute, as a cat lover I really LOVE the Cat Stacker!!!

First I used the Slider die with some brown pattern paper, then made a piece to slide into it. On this slider piece I stamped the Cat Stacker. Then I used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color them. I used BG2, BG3, BG5, GB8, GB10, IG1, IG2, IG4, IG6, IG8, TN4, TN5.

On a strip of white card stock I stamped the sentiment and then added it to some mint pattern paper that I trimmed to fit a card. From my stash I found some mint twine that matched and I wrapped it around the pattern paper under the sentiment. I wrapped it around several times before tying it in a knot. 

Next I added my colored piece to the Slider and used a little bit of glue to hold it in place. Next I cut a panel to slide into the Slider and cover the the colored image. A circle die cuts a small circle at the top. Last I added a few matching mint enamel dots!

And now I have super cute interactive card, perfect for any cat lover!! Thanks for stopping by!

I'm stopping by with a card that features a new Crafter's Companion collection that will be available tomorrow on HSN! Sara Davies Signature Collection - Together Forever is the perfect collection for love, anniversaries or even birthday cards, really!!! My card today is a little more love inspired with the heart, but with the Celebrate die and a birthday sentiment and you have a birthday card!!!

I started by trimming some silver vellum card stock, this also comes in gold and in several patterns, just gorgeous!!! With some liquid glue I adhered it to a white card base.

Next I used the heart die, first just the solid heart from silver card stock. Then I cut the filigree part and the solid heart from some black card stock. I just layered the black filigree heart over the solid silver heart.

From white card stock I cut out the Celebrate sentiment. I added the heart to the card base and then added the sentiment on top!

Very easy and so elegant with the fabulous vellum and silver card stock!!

My second card today feature a new die, this die comes with the new electronic die cutting machine, the Gemini! This new machine by Crafter's Companion will be available this Wednesday on HSN! And I have to say this machine is AWESOME!!! If you are fan of CC's detailed dies and embossing folders, this machine is for you!!! I have a Big Shot and I have the detailed dies through it many, many times!! And the embossing their dies can do is hard to do with the Big Shot. But with the Gemini, it cuts in one pass, embossed with a rubber mat in another pass and you are done!!! For embossing folders the impress is so much crisper and deep compared to my Big Shot!! Make sure you tune in to HSN, you are going to want this machine!!!

The Gemini comes with several dies and embossing folders and my card features the one of the heart dies. I cut a panel of CC's water color card stock and with a few of my Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers I smooshed some color onto the panel. I did wait until each color was almost dry before adding another color. I used Begonia, Yellow, Magenta, and Burgundy.

When it the panel was totally dry with the heart die I ran the panel through the machine six different times moving the die to make the two columns and three rows of hearts.

Next I stamped and white embossed the sentiment on a strip of black card stock. I added my heart panel to a black card base with foam tape. Then I added the sentiment strip. Last I added a few sequins.

Happy 4th of July!!! Is everyone enjoying the summer??? Here in Michigan it has been super dry, we really could use the rain! We have also seen several 90 degree days, with several in a row, and with no air conditioning, those days are not fun!!! We are have a few coming later this week and I am not looking forward to it!!!!

But anyway my card today is very summery and I made if for Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge - Stencil It! I used two SSS products: Dots & Lines Stencil and Happy Days Stamp.

I started by die cutting a stitched rectangle from water color card stock. I stamped the sun and flower on it. On a scrap piece I stamped the cute kit and speech bubble. With my distress markers I color up the images (colors used are listed with supplies at the bottom).

For a sentiment I stamped the small Thanks in the speech bubble. I added it and the kite to the rectangle with foam dots after fussy cutting them. I added a little blue to the background of the rectangle and carefully added a few blue flicks. Some how I manged to miss the images!!

For a background I diced to use the Dots & Lines stencil with Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink. I added the stamped rectangle to the card base and last added a few sequins to the rectangle.

You Fill Me With Happiness

Today I'm sharing a card I made for the CASology Challenge - Row. I needed a break from some design team stuff so I just googled card challenges and this was the first one that came up. At first I wasn't sure about it, but I was looking through some new stamps that needed some ink and I got an idea!

I started by die cutting the small jar from Stampin' Up's Jar of Love from some watercolor card stock. Then I used some navy ink to second generation stamp the jar on the die cuts. I pulled out a little watercolor set and used the blue to add water to the jars. When that was dry I went in and added a punch of green stems.

From the same set I die cut a bunch of the small flowers and then stamped them with varies colored inks. I also stamped up a bunch of leaves. Next I stamped the sentiment in brown ink on one of jars and on another stamped the string and bow.

Then I added the jars to a white card base and then added the flowers and leaves to each jar. Last I just rounded all the corners.

Verity Rose at Crafter's Companion

Today I have another card featuring the new Verity Rose collection now available at Crafter's Companion!! The collection is full of great products and my card today features the Card Blanks Pad, Coloring Pad and the Doily Die!

I started with one of the cute girls from the Coloring Pad and the flower, then used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color them! I used BT8, CR4, CR5, CR6, CR9, FS1, FS4, FS6, GB1, GB4, JG2, JG3, JG7, LV2, LV3. Next I fussy cut around just the top part of the image and rounded the edges of the remaining card stock. Then fussy cut out the flower.

Next I cut the doily die from CC's Kraft Card Stock. Now that I had all my elements I pulled out the Card Blanks Pad, picked out the card that matched my girl. I added the doily directly to the card, then added the girl and flower with foam tape!

I thought about adding a sentiment, but in the end decided against it! The Card Blanks make card making so easy!!

Art Impressions Challenge #187

Hello!

It's the second week of Art Impressions #187 Slide on By challenge!! The challenge is to create an interactive card with something that hides something on your card! A perfect way to do this is to use AI's new Stacker stamps and Slider Die!!!

My card features the Duck Stacker and of course the Slider die that makes it so easy!!!  First I used the die and cut it from some flower pattern paper. Then I cut two small panels that would fit inside the the frame. I stamped the stack of Ducks on one and then used my Spectrum Noir markers to color them. I used CT2, CT3,CT4, GB4, OR2, OR3.

Next I trimmed some yellow polka dot paper to fit a card base. I wrapped some twine around the panel and threaded a button and tied in a bow. Then I stamped the sentiment on some white card stock and then trimmed it to a square. I rounded the top corners and then added it to the card above the button.

Next I added the die cut frame and then the colored image, using a little bit of glue to keep it in place. Then I die cut a small circle on the cover panel and then slid it over the colored image. Last I added a matching brad below the button.
