Hello!
It's the second week of Art Impressions Challenge 203 - Let's Watercolor. There are new Watercolor Stamps for 2017 and the DT are showing off the new stamps, but you can still play along just do some watercolor!!
I started my card by cutting a panel of watercolor card stock. Then I pulled out my Distress Markers (colors used are at the end of the post) and these AI Watercolor sets: Wooden Chair Mini Set, WC Flower Set 2 and WC Foilage Set 2.
Now, I'm not the greatest at water coloring, BUT practice helps!! So don't be discouraged!! And watercolor is very forgiving!! When I do chairs, or pots and other objects I like to color the stamp with my Distress Marker, stamp it and then give it a couple minutes to dry. Then I pull the color out with a little bit of water, also adding more color with the marker. I find that this helps keep the detailed lines better.
Make sure to check out the Art Impression blog for Watercolor Wednesday, for video on how to watercolor with AI stamps! It's a great resource for learning how to do AI watercolor!!
When I was done with all my watercolors I stamped the To A Dear Friend sentiment from the new WC Sentiments set. Last I tied some twine around the panel and adhered it to a white card base.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you will play along with us and do some watercolor!!
Dana
