Hiya!!
So.... today i have a card with a snowman on it! Yep a snowman, because apparently winter is not over... yesterday it was almost 50 degrees and i didn't even wear a jacket! But today.... we should have about 10 inches of snow on the ground by this afternoon! I mean really?!?!? So to 'celebrate' (said in a very sarcastic voice!!) i decided to post a card i made a few weeks ago. I made this card for a challenge, but went to post it and realized i was too late! And well, today is a great day to post it apparently! :D
The challenge that i made it for was about quilts, so on that thought i made a circle quilt. I punched some pattern papers with a square punch. Then die cut a circle from a piece of sticky cardstock (one side is adhesive). I placed my squares on the sticky side and trimmed off the extra.
To finish the circle i added tiny twin bows to the four corners of the middle square. I die cut a small circle out of watercolor paper then stamped and colored the cute snowman image. Before i adhered my circles i placed the blue paper on my card base and then flicked some white opaque Mister Huey's on the blue paper.
Once the flicks were dry i added the circles and a couple of buttons. Last I stamped the sentiment in the lower left corner.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Dana

Boo to the snow, but wild cheers and applause to this adorable 'quilt' snowman creation! It's a perfect card capturing the transition from winter to spring, with the colours and images you've selected, especially the 'block' with the flowers, and the pinks, blues and yellows. Pretty and fresh...love it!!
