Hello,

I went with a Beach team and used several different Art Impression stamp sets (all set are listed at the end of the post!). Since i was making a set i kept it simple and used a card making die! The die is very old, but it cuts the actual card base and another die cuts a smaller panel that fits on the card base. This really helps if your are making a card set!

On each of the panels i stamped the different beach images and sentiments. To color them i went with Spectrum Noir Pencils, this gave a nice softer look to the images.

Next i wrapped each panel with some twine and tied them in a bow. I adhered the panel to each card base, i used blue (water) and tan (sand) to go along with my beach theme. These cards are perfect for mailing, thin with minimal embellishments!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Noel

Hello!

This is my second post today, if you are looking for my Art Impressions post click here!

Crafter's Companion is releasing more yummy Christmas products and today i'm sharing a little sneak peek!! The set i'm showing is called The First Noel and its part of a Christmas collection by Sheena Douglass called  A Little Bit Festive and it will be available later this week!!

I started by stamping the Noel sentiment with the lovely landscaping and silhouettes (its all one stamp). Then i colored it with Spectrum Noir markers (EB1, EB2, GB8, GB10, CR8, DR1, DR5, DR7, CT4, CT3, OR1, IG1).

Next i used a paper trimmer to cut in between the letters, i wanted to make sure i had a nice straight line, above this line i fussy cut the image. I did not fussy cut the bottom half of the image.

I used a small star stencil and placed it on a black card base. I added glitter glue to the starts and then with a scrap piece of paper scrapped off the excess. When i lifted the stencil some of glue had gotten under the stencil so some you can;t really tell they are stars. Next time i'll apply the glitter glue with the paper, very similar when adding embossing paste!

After the stars had dried, i added the fussy cut image to my card base with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I'll be back in a couple days with another card to share featuring another stamp set from this new release!!

What Did I Come Here For?

Hello!

I hope everyone is having a great day! Today i'm on the Art Impression blog today sharing a card. I'm sure your mojo or creative juices have taken a leave at some point, it happens to all us! When i made this card i was struggling to find my mojo and sometimes just getting over the hurdle of completing a card can help you get your mojo back! It worked for me, after competing this card i went on to make a few more!

When i make a simple card i like to use a fancy dies, usually ones with stitched borders or different shapes. For this card i cut a stitched rectangle from watercolor paper.

Next i remembered a sentiment that i just thought was so funny from Dare to Be Fabulous, one of the clear stamp sets that can be found at Hobby Lobby. I really wanted to use it and i thought that Norm relaxing in his folding chair was perfect!

I stamped Norm in the right corner and then the sentiment beside it. I colored Norm with distress markers and some water. Last i added the panel to a Kraft card base.

I hope that if you mojo is gone my card inspires you to push through it and get that mojo back!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Winter Wonderland

Hello!

This is my second post today, click here if you are looking for my The Alley Way Stamps post.

Today Crafter's Companion has a new release that includes lots of goodies!! Stamps, embossing folders, and a CD collection. Check out all the new items at Crafter's Companion online store!

My card today features stamps from the Cool Christmas stamp set and to do something a little different i made a shaker card!

I started by stamping the snowman on what card stock and coloring him with Spectrum Noir markers. Next i found some snowflake pattern paper and with CC's Die'sire Essential Circle dies cut out a large circle from the middle of the pattern paper.

The circle is the snow globe and to make the base i hand cut a piece of black card stock. I adhered it below the cut circle, then placed the circle back it so i could cut it again, this time cutting the black base piece.

Next i added some CC's Acetate to the back of the pattern paper, then added foam tape all the way around the circle and the rest of the card.

I placed some sequins and glitter on my snowman and then adhered the pattern paper piece with the foam tape on top. Shook it around and the sequins and glitter moved around nicely and nothing came out!! I added this to a white card base.

Last i stamped the Winter Wonderland sentiment, notched one end and it to my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Yippee Skippe

Hello!!

I hope everyone is doing good! My mojo has been absent since i learned that i didn;t make it in the program i've been working toward, but this weekend it started to come back. Luckily i worked ahead so the things you are seeing have been done for a week or so, thank goodness!!!

Dana Warren - Kraft Paper Stamps - The Alley Way Stamps
Today i'm featuring a card using some new The Alley Way Stamps from the August release. The release is all about penguins and dressing them up! I started by stamping the penguin from Penguins on Parade, then stamped his belly from Everyday's a Holiday.

Not only do the penguin have lots of different outfits, there are other TAWS stamp sets that go great with the penguin. In this case i used the little flags from Cake Day to dress up my penguin. I also stamped the little present from the set. I colored the penguin, banner and present with Spectrum Noir markers.

For the background i stamped the cupcake from Cake Day all over a white card base. Then i smooshed some pink and orange ink all over the background. When it was dry, i added some black polka dot washi tape horizontally across the card.

I added the penguin and present to the card with foam tape. Last i stamped the Yippee Skippe sentiment below the penguin.

Thanks for stopping by!! I'll be back later today with a new release for Crafter's Companion

For my i was inspired by the colors and the flower pattern. I placed a stencil over some white card stock and with an ink applicator added some distress inks that matched the photo. I started with the yellow in the middle and then worked my way out to an aqua and then blue.

Next i stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Stamps Sending and Wishing stamp set in black ink. I trimmed the panel down a little, then matted it on some gray glitter card stock. Last i added it to a black card base.
