Welcome to the Art Impressions & Tombow Blog Hop!!
You should have gotten here from Beth Watson's blog but if you stumbled across my blog stop by the Art Impressions' Blog to start! My post is photo heavy, but i think its worth it!! :)
For my project i made a present shaped card. I started with a present cut file that i manipulated to make a card. I cut the base from white card stock and the different pieces from a pattern paper pad.
To assemble my card i first scored a line on the back piece about an inch and half from the top. Next i used Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue. This glue is great when you need a really good strong hold!
While my card base dried, i stamped and colored my image, but i'll go into a little more detail in just a second. I cut a some strip paper for the present and used Tombow Mono Permanent Adhesive, you can see i used it on the back of side of the pattern paper.
I used the same adhesive for the pattern piece for the lid of the present.
Next i used the Multi Liquid glue to add the three bow pieces to the card. It works great with smaller pieces that the tape runner is too big for.
Next i wanted to cover the point where the ribbon pieces come together, i don;t like how it looked. So i found a grey button from my stash. To adhere it i used Tombow's New Adhesive Dots, which works great with adhereing embellishments!
Last i just needed to adhere the stamped panel. While my card base was drying i stamped Art Impressions Girlfriends Out to Lunch set. I used distress markers, water and a paintbrush to color the image. Next i stamped the 'Happy Birthday' above the two ladies.
I added three strips of Tombow Foam Tape to the back of my stamped panel and adhered it to the center of the present card.
And here are a few pictures of the finished card!! It was really fun to make! Using a cut file cuts down on the time and the adhesives are so easy to use! And of course doing some fun coloring!!
