Hey there!
Today i have a quick post to share 2 card i made this weekend for Online Card Class: Stenciled. I'ts been a busy couple days and today looks to be another one!! Tomorrow i'll be able to relax a little and watch the remaining Stenciled videos.
First my day 1 card. I went with inking and instead of a typical plastic stencil i used a die cut as a stencil.
I die cut the birch trees from thin copy paper and inked it up on the textured side of some watercolor paper. I used black, purple and blue distress inks.
Then i found a purple satin flower that i made several, several months ago and i added a few french knots to the flower center and added it to the tree panel. I also added some black twine loops and last stamped the sentiment You Are Simply Wonderful.
Day 2 Card. I really loved the sketching look done by Kristina so i tried it out myself. I used a stripe stencil from SSS and Inktense pencils. I sketched each line to make the rainbow background.
I stamped the cute little skunk also by SSS and colored him with my inktence pencils. I really am going to have to use these pencils again, they work so well!! I also stamped and colored a couple hearts from the same set.
I added the skunk and hearts to the stripe background with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment and last added a few enamel dots!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!! Tomorrow i'll be back with The Alley Way Stamp Sneak Peek!!!

These are great! That first card is so pretty, love the colors, and how bright and bold the second is. The stripes are so fun!
ReplyDeleteWell that card is what's stinkin' cute! great job!
ReplyDeleteA+++ on both these cards, Dana! The soft spaces between the trees on the first, paired with the funky flower makes for one eye-catching card. The stripes on the second, with the darling skunk is sheer charm! You must be at the top of the class in Stencil school! You're inspiring me to try stencils (I have one...yayyyy!) as soon as I wrap my head around how to use them properly. I can already imagine the recycle bin enjoying a good feast!
