Hiya!!
So the past couple weeks i've been playing with some new stamps from my stamping friends and as i was putting the stamps away i realized i had one set from a friend that i have had for some time but never used!! So i moved it to my desk to fix that!! The set is Neat & Tangled One The Corner by Miriam Prantner!
I decided to use the sentiment Super Hero and it made me think of Superman. I also new what kind of background i wanted to do, so i used blue and red colors! I started by inking one end of my panel with blue ink. I used the ink applicator and added ink all the way to about center of the panel. I then flipped it around and ink the other side with red. I gradually got lighter with both colors at the middle and blended them together. You get purple when you blend blue and red, and i didn;t want it to be very noticeable so i only blended a small area!
Next i flicked water with my paint brush all over my panel. While the water dried, i stamped the street sign on watercolor paper. To color it i used some ink, pressed it onto a clear block and mixed in lots of water to get various shades of grey. Then i cut it out and added it to my panel with foam dots.
Last i added sequins, because i thought it needed a little something!! And noting better then sequins!! hehe!!
Thanks for stopping by!!
Dana

ReplyDeleteI don't have that set, but you've convinced me to add it to my wish list! Your background, as Darnell points out, is outstanding! Perfect 'super hero' colours, and the splats+sequins are fabulous! Wonderful card!!
