Dearest Friend

Hello!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I've been super busy and a bit stressed for the past week or so working on my schooling. I've gotten some bad news, then some teeny tiny bit of hope and am just waiting for what i hope is good news! But while i wait i have to set into motion a back up up plan, which hasn;t been fun! I ready for everything to work out and get back to normal!! I'll be catching up on my blog reading and commenting soon!!

Today i'm sharing a card i made with lots of Crafter's Companion goodies! Not too long ago i tried using alcohol markers with stencils and i am loving the results! I've made backgrounds in the past, but this time wanted to make more of a focal image this way!

I started by die cutting a piece of CC's Ultra Smooth Premium White Card Stock with a stitched rectangle die. Then i placed the Wildflower Decorative Stencil by Sheena over the panel. I used washi tape to hold the stencil in place.

Next i used Spectrum Noir markers to color in the stencil (CG1, CG2, DG2, LV1, LV2, PL1, PL2, PL4, PL5). The ink bleeds a little under the stencil and you get a nice watercolor like look, which i like a lot!! I used different colors to add a little shading and depth to the flowers.

Then i stamped the Dearest Friend sentiment in black ink in the lower right corner. For a little texture i added three black sequins. Last i added Wink of Stella to the flowers to give the card a little sparkle, then just adhered the panel to a black card base.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Dana
