Hello!
This is my second post today! Click here for my Fall Coffee Loving Card Makers Blog Hop card.
It's been busy on my blog and yep it's going to be another busy one today!! My card today features an easy watercolor background with Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers.
First I squiggled some Orange marker on a palette and then spritzed some water on it. With a panel of Crafter's Companion watercolor cardstock, I picked up the ink by pressing it to the pallette. I waited for it to pretty much dry and then did the same thing with the Black marker.
While the watercolor panel was drying I stamped the guitar from Sheena Douglass's Rock N Roll stamp set. I also stamped a sentiment and trimmed it into a square. With sharp scissors, I fussy cut out the guitar.
When the panel was dry I added a strip of gray card stock, then added the guitar and sentiment with foam tape. Then I added a few black enamel dots. Last I added the panel to a white card base!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Coffee Loving Card Makers Fall 2016 Blog Hop
Hello!
I'm popping in with a card I made for the Fall 2016 Coffee Loving Card Makers Blog Hop! I made this last week, but only now got around to having time to edit the photos!
I started by stamping Penny Blacks Foliage Fancy leaves with distress markers. I just colored the markers on the solid stamp and then stamped it on water color paper. With a wet paint brush I dabbed at the ink to help spread it around a little. When the ink was dry I stamped the leaf outlines in brown ink. Then I fussy cut around the three leaves.
Next I pulled out Simon Says Stamp What's Brewing and stamped the mug on some pattern paper from Fancy Pants' Happy Go Luck paper pad (all pattern paper is from this pad). I fussy cut around the mug and colored the liquid inside brown. From the SSS set I stamped You're the Best on the inside of the mug.
Then, from the Papertrey Ink Autumn Acorns set I colored the acorn with a distress marker and stamped it on water color paper. I fussy cut it out with sharp scissors.
From the PTI Notebook die I cut some brown card stock and added it to some polka dot paper. I used some distress ink to add a little ink around the edge before added it to a white card base. On top of the brown note book page I added the leaves, then some twine I looped a few times then I added the acorn and mug. Last I added a few brads after cutting off the tails of the brads.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Essentials by Ellen & Distress Markers
Hello!
I'm popping in with a card I made for Essentials by Ellen Pin - Sights Challenge! I made it last week but only just been able to photograph and edit them!!
Here is the inspiration! I really like the aqua and white in all the photos!!
I stared with some Craft Smith pattern papers that have some great aqua patterns. The stripe pattern was added to a white card base. From a PTI die I cut the flower pattern and laid it over the stripes then I stamped the clouds and waves from Ellen's Stay Salty set. I made sure to stamp them so some clouds/waves were on the stripes and the flower piece.
Then I added the flower piece with foam tape. I stamped the Holy Ship! It's Your Birthday! at the lower right corner.
I cut a circle from water color card stock and stamped the boat, with my Distress Markers I water colored the boat. Then I added it to the card and last adhered a few enamel dots that matched.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Crafter's Companion Hello Banner from Card Base Die
Hello!
Today I'm sharing a little banner I made with Crafter's Companion's Card Base die. I made this a couple months ago, which I am sure you can tell by the nice green foliage in the background!! This would also be a great as a holiday banner!!
I am also entering this into Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes!
I started by cutting five strips of card stock that are a little bit wider than the die. I am using the Nicole Card Base Die. Then I folded each strip in half, one at a time I placed the die ontop of and just above the fold and die cut it.
From a Verity Rose A4 Luxury Paper Pad, I used the die to cut out five pieces. Next, I pulled out some twine and placed each of the five card bases around the twine and adhered the two sides together. This allows each banner to move along the twine as needed.
After all five banners were adhered I added the pattern paper to each. Last I pulled out some brown alpha stickers and spelled out Hello. This is super easy and can be easily personalized!!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Art Impressions Stacker Stamp & Slider Die
Hello!!!
I'm on the Art Impressions blog today with a card featuring the Elephant Stacker stamp set and matching Slider die! Speaking of Stacker's have you seen the collaboration between Art Impressions and Simon Says Stamp??? The Terrier Stacker is so adorable, make sure you grab it, once it's gone it's gone!!
To start my card I stamped the Elephant Stacker on some white card base and used my Spectrum Noir Marker's to color them! To make the elephants interesting I did vary the grey's I used when coloring them. I used: IG 1, IG2, IG4, IG6.
Next, I used the Slider die and cut the frame from some polka dot pattern paper. I trimmed the stamped piece to fit inside the slider, along with another piece to cover the elephants. To tease the recipient I punch a circle at the top, so you can see one elephant and as you pull the panel down you can see the other elephants!!
All the pattern paper I used on this card comes from the same paper pad, Teresa Collins You Are My Happy. This makes mixing patterns easy, they already match!! :) I picked one pattern for the card base and a few other patterns I cut into flags.
For the sentiment, I first cut a white flag from Avery Elle's Dotted Die, then stamped the sentiment. I added all the flags to the card and then the Slider with the elephants to the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Crafter's Companion Birthday Gift Card Holder
Hello!
I'm stopping by with a cute little gift card holder! It's super easy to make up even if you need it last minute!! I used some great Crafter's Companion products, including one of the new Die'sire Classiques 12' dies!
I started by picking out some pattern paper from the Verity Rose A4 Luxury Paper Pad. I cut the paper to 3 3/4 x 7, then scored it at 2 7/8 and 5 3/4. Then I folded the smaller section in and used a stapler at each side. This creates the pocket for the gift card.
I picked out some matching polka dot paper from my stash and used the Classiques Scallop Loop Edge Die. I trimmed the paper so there was a bit of card stock below the scallop. With black ink, I stamped the Happy Birthday from Just for Men's Rock Star stamp set.
Next, I added this part of the scallop with the sentiment on the front flap of the holder. I added another section of the scallop to the inside, this covers the stables. To keep the holder close, I just wrapped some twine around it and tied it in a bow.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Spectrum Noir Coloring in Grey Tones
Hello!
Today I'm sharing a card I made featuring one of the new Crafter's Companion Colorista Background Stamps. There are four different backgrounds, for my card I used Loved with Butterflies.
I started by stamping the background on Crafter's Companion Premium Ultra Smooth white cardstock. Then I went to town coloring, LOL!!! It takes a few days working on it, but I really love how it turned out! I went with gray tones in coloring this, no color what so ever!!! I used IG1, IG2, IG4, IG6, IG8, IG10. I also used Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen, Onyx Black to add just a touch of sparkle!!
Next, I trimmed a piece of vellum and then white heat embossed a sentiment. I used Special Friend from Everyday with Barkley.
I trimmed the background to fit a card base and then wrapped the vellum around the panel adhering it on the back side. Then I just added the panel to a white card base. Very easy way to finish and show off your coloring!!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Art Impressions Challenge #193 - Cards to DIE for
Hello,
It's the second week of Art Impressions Cards to DIE for challenge!! AI just release some awesome new dies, the Placecard Pals, and Snowflake set. Make sure you stop by the AI blog for some great projects showcasing these products!!
My card today features the Snowflake die! These dies come attached to each and before they get separated I decided to try embossing with them! I used a tan mat available from Sizzix and ran the snowflakes through my die cutting machine on some watercolor card stock.
Next, I used my Spectrum Noir Aqua marker and added some ink to a pallete, with water I added the red ink over the all the snowflakes I embossed. I think this helps the embossed snowflakes stand out a bit.
Then I found some red card stock that matched and cut some snowflakes with it. I trimmed the snowflake panel down and tied some twine around it, then added it to a white card base.
With brown ink, I stamped Warm Your Heart sentiment. I first stamped it in a light Kraft colored ink, then again with a darker brown ink, this gives a nice halo look to the sentiment! Last I added the red snowflakes randomly on the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you will play along with us at the AI Challenge!!

Art Impressions Robe Sinner Card
Hello!!
TGIF .... ok not really, BUT this would be a perfect card to send to a good friend, maybe invite them to a weekend getaway or pick me up after a tough week! I used the Robe Spinner stamp set and used stickers to make my sentiment!!
I started by stamping the front and back images and then using my Spectrum Noir markers to color it. I used FS1, FS3, GB10, IB2, IB3, TN4. Then I used the Blender marker to add polka-dots to her pajamas.
Next, I used the matching dies and cut the images out. To make the spinner, first I run each side through my sticker machine. I added white thread to the sticky back side and then added the front, sandwiching the thread between the two images.
To a white card base, I added some pattern paper (adhere with removable adhesive), then used a circle die and cut a window from the front. With a slightly bigger circle, I cut a circle frame from white cardstock. I removed the pattern paper layer and added my spinner, then adhered the pattern paper this time with double sided permanent tape. Then I just used some liquid glue to add the white frame.
From an alphabet sticker sheet I added TGIF with foam tape. Last I rounded each of the corners to go with my circle window!

My Favorite Things Stamping & Masking
Hello!
This is my third and final card for My Favorite Things Card Design Superstar Contest! This is my favorite card of the three! I love cats and love the Catitude stamp set!!
I wanted a swirl of kitties!! So I lightly drew in a swirl starting at the center, this line helped me keep the cats going in the direction of the swirl. Before I started stamping on my panel I first stamped the cats on a full sticky post it and fussy cut them out. As I stamped the cats on my panel I used the post it note cats to mask off what I had already stamped.
The next step was to color the cats. I wanted to keep them simple because there were so many!! So I went with a simple cartoon-like style of leaving some white space while coloring. To make sure I liked the style and colors I picked out I first stamped all the cats on a scrap piece and colored them first. I ended up liking the coloring so I figured I would use these cats on another project!
The Spectrum Noir Markers I used were BG5, BG6, BT7,CD4, DR4, EB5, EB6, GB3, IG1, IG4, IG7, OR3, PL5, PP1, TN2, TN4, TN7.
Next, I used MFT's faux washi tape die from Blue Prints #13 and die cut some purple card stock. I stamped and heat embossed the You Have the Right Cat-itude sentiment. Then I added it to my card base with foam tape. Last I added a wood heart and three bronze sequins!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

My Favorite Things Christmas Die in a Non Christmas Way
Hello!!
This is my second card for My Favorite Things Card Design Superstar Contest!! I wanted to use MFT's Christmas Tree Cut Out die, but not for a Christmas card!! I hope you like what I came up with!!
First, I cut a piece of watercolor paper to fit a card base. Then I used the Christmas Tree die multiple times on the panel. The die has a square tree trunk, but I didn;t want this to be cut, so it either hung over the panel or I made sure that cutting plate did not cover the trunk!
Next, I collected all the pieces and placed them on my craft mat. I used my Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers, Blossom, Moss, Sunset and Kingfisher with some water to splatter the ink randomly over all the pieces. I let each color dry before adding a new color!
While the splatter was drying I stamped and die cut the bear and sign from MFT's Cool Day. Then I used my Aqua Markers to color them. I used the colors I mentioned above along with Charcoal and Slake.
When everything was dry I added tree cut out panel to a black card base with foam tape. Then I randomly added the splatter tree pieces into some of the cut outs. These were adhered directly to the card base. I added a black strip of card stock to the card and then added the bear and sign. Last I added a few sequins and a snowflake!

Halloween Watercoloring with a Stencil and Distress Inks
Hello!
I'm sharing a card I made for My Favorite Thing's Card Design Superstar Contest! When I heard about the contest, I made a plan for each card and with small variances along the way they all turned out pretty much how I planned them in my head!! With this first card, I wanted to do some watercoloring with a stencil, but probably not the way you are thinking!
I started by picked out three Distress Inks: Abandoned Coral, Black Soot, Dusty Concord. Then I placed MFT's Scattered Bars on my craft mat and pressed the three different inks onto the stencil. (start with the lighter color first!!) I trimmed some watercolor paper to fit a card base and added some water to the panel. Wait until the panel is damp, too much water and you can't see the pattern of the stencil on your panel. Next, I just press the damp panel on the stencil and ink.
The panel will not pick up all the ink, so I always have extra panels ready to go and do up a few more panels until most of the ink is gone! When all the panels were dry, I just picked the best one for my card today.
Next, I cut two MFT stitched ovals from white card. On the smaller oval, I used the Dusty Concord first and then added black around the edge. The bigger oval got the Abandoned Coral and black around the edge. On the smaller oval, I heat embossed the I'm Bats About You sentiment in white.
From my stash, I found some purple polka dot and black chevron washi tape and added it to my panel. Then I added the ovals to the card, trimming off the overhand from the larger oval.
I stamped the bat, moon and one cloud from MFT's Witch Way To The Candy stamp set. Then I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color them! I used FS6, IG1, IG2, IG4, IG6, LY2. I fussy cut them out and used a black marker to color the edges. Then I added them to the card with foam tape. Last I added a few black and pink (yes, amazingly I was able to match the Abandoned Coral to some enamel dots in my stash!!) enamel dots. Last I added the panel to a white card base.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Altenew Watercolor Stamping with Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers
Hello!
Today, I'm stopping in with a card I made for Virginia's View Challenge #23 and Altenew's Ultimate Blog Hop! The challenge at Virginia's is to use Spray, Mist, and Splatter, with my card I used a spray and Splatter.
I started with Altenew's Painted Poppy set and stamped the poppy outlines. Then with my Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers, I colored the solid poppies, spritz it with pearlized water and then stamped. I layered a light color first, then added a darker color. For the flowers, I used Begonia, Blossom, Gold, and Sunset. For the leaf and stems, I used Moss and Leaf Green.
When all my watercolor stamping was done and dry I pulled out a palette and squiggled the Blossom, Gold, and Sunset. I added a bit of water to each color and splattered each color on my panel. I did wait for each color to dry before adding the next color.
When the splatter was dry I used Invisible Alpha to stamped Hello. I added a few black and gold sequins to the card and last adhered the panel to a white card base.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
