Hello!
Another card for Papertrey Ink's Stamp-a-faire. This one is for the Rolled Design Challenge. They used a medium called Paperclay, which is not available at local craft stores, so instead i used white polymer clay that you have to bake in the oven.
I kneed it a bit and then using a large misting bottle and rolled it as thin as i could. I pressed the dies into the clay, then used a craft knife to cut the clay. I did 3 hearts and 3 candles. With the hearts i stamped a crackle background with Kraft ink. The candles i used red, blue and green ink to stamp the candles, orange for the flame.
Here is a before picture:
Now i've never used clay before and after baking it for 15 minutes they were still soft, so i baked them for another 15 minutes. By this time they were a little more harder and not so white any more. I guess they harden when the cool? LOL
Here is the after picture:
I didn;t like how the candles turned out, but i liked that the hearts looked a little aged being the light tan color, so i used them for my card.
I stamped the pine branches off on scrap paper then on my cardbase. Then i stamped the sentiment at the bottom.
I stamped the stocking and mitten, then adhered them and the hearts to twine. I adhered it all across my cardbase and added tiny twine bows at each end.
Thanks for stopping by!!
Dana
