Just a Little Bit of Love

Hey there!!

Well yesterday my Christmas break officially came to an end as the new semester started! It should be a fun semester 3 academic classes and a dance exercise class! Yep you read it right dance exercise! I needed 1 credit to make it to the full time minimum and i wanted to take the easiest class available and i figured any lost weight will be an extra bonus, YAY!!

Today i have a card for The Runway Inspired Challenge and for Keep It Simple Challenge: Text.

I started with some pattern paper that has text, the word love, very tiny loves!! Next i die cut a heart from a full adhesive post it note. I adhered it in the center of the pattern paper panel. Next i use dye ink and an ink applicator tool to ink up the area around the post it note heart.

Next i used various ink colors to stamp several different hearts. All the hearts are from various The Alley Way Stamp sets, the specific sets are listed below. I stamped off a couple of the hearts and also used a tiny circle and star cluster to stamp around the blue cloud in the same ink (but you can;t really see it in the picture!)

I also added tiny dots of glitter glue. After i was done stamping and inking, i pulled up the post it note heart and with a fine black pen i added some lines, dashes and dots to outline the heart.

Last i die cut the sentiment love from blue glitter paper. To make it pop more from the card i die cut it 3 more times from white cardstock, then run 2 of them and the glitter one through my sticker maker machine. I adhered each layer together, then because i didn;t like the white edge i used a black marker to color all the edges. I then adhered the love to my card base.

I also want to mention that this month is The Alley Way Stamps 3rd birthday and to celebrate, there is a coupon good for January, 25% off your purchase, use code TAWSbirthday3 at checkout!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Dana

  6. WOW, Dana! I agree with Darnell (no meds, though), your heart does appear to be floating in a lovely, dreamy blue cloud! What a great technique! And the patterned paper: perfect! I think something similar is in my stash so I'll be sifting through once I'm home. LOVE this!! Your semester sounds wonderful - a nice balance of academic and play!!
