Be Inspired Challenge #51

Hiya!!

The Alley Way Stamps Be Inspired Challenge just got better!! You now have 4 weeks to complete a challenge, the winner wins TWO stamps AND the winner gets to be a Guest Designer for a future Be Inspired Challenge!! Whoo Hoo!!! It the second week in the new challenge, so you still have plenty of time to play along! Here is the inspiration photo:

Aren't this poka-dot cloths pins so cute!! For my card i went a little elegant! To start i used a red card base and placed a poka-dot stencil over it. I used white pigment ink to color the poka-dots. When the dots dried they look more pink then white! I added a red strip of card stock across my cardbase.

Next i die cut a flower die in red and a dark green. I used some distress ink to ink up the edges of the flower. I added the dark green (minus the flowers) to my red die cut. So the stems and seed pods are green and the flowers are red! I adhered the flowers to my card base with foam dots.

Then i die cut a little tag and stamped the Love you Lots from The Alley Way Stamps Flower Doodles stamp set! I added a tiny wood cloths pen to the top of the tag and glued it to my card base.

I just love how this turned out! Its a lot of red, but the pinkish poka-dots really help to break up the red!!

Thanks for stopping by! Tomorrow i'll be back with a video featuring aSketch Technique with stencils!

  3. This is AWESOME! I love the slight pinkish tinge, it softens the whole card. And the shading on those dies - everything really pops. Love that tiny clothespin too!
